been going to Dr. Bang for 7 years with 3 dogs. One of which we just put to rest last week, our 16.7 yr old 90# Bouvier (may be the longest lived AKC Bouv) that Dr. Bang did major surgery on at 13. The doctor fulfilled my request to put her mind to sleep before the euthanasia was inserted. He was gentle and even thought to put a pillow under her head as the drugs took effect. He gave us time with her as she slept before the final injection. He is skilled, conservative and caring. He does well with my 95# imported terrier from Russia (Black Russian Terrier) and my little Westie. As a former AHT & LVN it is in my professional opinion that Dr. Bang is more than qualified to see as a regular vet and believe he would refer out if he was unable to do the job. So far he has cared for my precious pets very well over the last 7 years. I like the fact that he uses both modern and holistic means of treatment.

Amazing place!!! Dr. Bang and his staff are the most loving and caring group of people. They truly care for your babies. Dr. Bang will always advise and suggest the easiest and less evasive treatment, before any expensive procedure. He genuinely wants the best for the animals. I have been taking my 13 year old cat and 5 year old (75 pound) dog here since they were both little babies. I had a hard time finding a vet for my cat when she was little because she would not let anyone touch her without hissing and scratching. At our first appointment, Dr. Bang reached into the carrier and lifted her out. He spent time holding her and petting her and for the first time ever she responded nicely to a vet. After trying 3 other places first, I knew this was the one!!!! I highly recommend this place.

The doctor was very nice, however, spoke poor english. I told him from the beginning of the visit my dog had something in her foot, causing the swelling, he completely disregarded the pertinent information I had given him... and treated the wound as an allergy. He then told me to bring her back in if the treatment did not work... I reluctantly purchased the prescribed medications, 2 weeks and and $100 later... SURPRISE! his treatment was ineffective. I find it shady he treats my dog for something different and then tells me to bring her back when the medication doesnt work. This is not a proper way to conduct business or bring in more. Had the doctor taken the object out and then treated the infection, the wound would have healed quickly.

I found this Clinic through Google and decided to give it a try after having gone through 2 different Clinics and not liking them. I love how the staff is very friendly and professional. They always make my pets and I feel comfortable. I love how Dr.Bang recommended us a higher dose of medication for our pet for a cheaper cost instead of a lower dosage at a higher cost (what I was doing at the last 2 clinics). Besides the fact that the front end is quite small and I feel that making it a tad bit bigger would make other pet owners comfortable by being able to sit down, I greatly recommend this this Clinic! *Also, they go by appointment and took us in the same day only 2 hours later- little to no wait if youre a bit late.

How many Vets greet your little 4 lb toy poodle with a kiss? Well thats how caring Dr. Bang is. He is so kind and gentle, [what an appropriate name for the clinic] Anyway, the Dr. saved my little dogs life after he was attacked and torn to pieces by a large stray dog. After a very difficult surgery of sewing this little guy back together inside and out, he miracuously healed with no lasting side effects. I give credit to Heaven and Dr. Bang in saving my dog. He never pushes excess treatment and is realitic with your choices. He is very very kind when I have had to put a dog down. I trust and would recommend Dr.Bangs services to everyone who loves their pets. Maddy Given.

Do not go to the golden state humane society in LB, they suck! (that is being nice) Gentle Care is easy to find, has plenty of parking; best of all the knowledgeable staff and great prices will make them my dogs vet for life. I found them through this site and I thank the other reviewers for their awesome reviews. Most vets will get you in and try to sell you product after product, making you feel guilty if you refuse. I got none of that here and they do carry quality stuff including some foods. I cannot be more pleased with the treatment they gave my dog. And I have been to VCA (they rack it up) and ABC and some others.

My husband and I love our dogs like children and after hearing about how wonderful this place was we decided to try it out. We previously took our dogs to Los Al Vets and made the switch, I think that says a lot. Affordable prices, great staff members who were not afraid our our large breed dogs (we have had trouble with that in the past)They wont give you the run around, hardly ever a wait to see the doc and not to mention they saved our male dogs life.

Truly the best vet i have ever been to. Dr.Bang is amazing, all my visits (good or bad) are quick and to the point and i rarely ever need a 2nd visit! He loves on them and can tell he does it for the pets not tye $ i swear hes magic! Also pricing is very reasonable and this is coming from a poor college student. A few staff members are short and quick to the point (some people say rude) but they are all very caring and super nice! Always 5 stars from me!

Dr. Bang is the kindest honest gentle and animal loving person. He treated our puppy husky when we were so afraid because he had a cough … now we drive all the way from Santa Clarita just to go to see him for our puppies. Dr. Bang will make sure all treatment is given, but will NEVER rip you off unlike most other Vet’s. Our puppies actually like being held in his arms.

I love this place! Its great to have a vet who loves your pets like you do! My other vet would not even talk to me when I wanted to ask a question after the check up was done while Dr. Bang would let me know exactly whats going on. You can just quit researching for a better Vet and just make an appointment here.

I cannot speak highly enough of Dr. Bang and his staff here at Gentle Care Pet Clinic. We have been bringing our cats here for nearly 15 years now, and they are always thorough, compassionate and knowledgeable. Also, the prices are far more reasonable than some other vets I have tried around Long Beach.

My 12 year old Maltese went in for major surgery yesterday everything went well possible bladder cancer. The doctor was very informative and seemed to care about my dog. But it would have been nice if they did a folliow up call to see how my dog was doing after his big surgery. :(
