Each time we have picked our dogs up from boarding them at the Costa Mesa Animal Hospital, they have shown signs that they were not cared for properly. The list includes: - extreme thirst: each time our dogs arrive home, they run immediately to their waterbowl and lap water as if they did not drink for days - green puss in one dogs eyes, which apparently had not been wiped for days - fleas - weight loss - fever: one of our dogs was shivering and did not move for 24 hours Our dogs are happy and healthy, and have not suffered long term illness from being boarded at Costa Mesa Animal Hospital. However, this vet needs to improve the level of care they give to animals that they are boarding. We will not board our animals here again.

We just moved to Newport beach in September. Bought a new puppy soon after. Took dog to Costa mesa Animal Hospital the first time for all her shots. We were so impressed by the front lobby! Well, after several visits later and ALLOT of money charged/spent, we are no longer seeking any care within this hospital. They overcharged us every single visit, always prescribed medication and tests, and gave us false feeding information that cause our dog to be very ill! We are shocked that such a place is even still in business!!! From one loving pet owner to another...Never take any pet to the Costa Mesa Animal Hospital for their own safety.

Best vets ever! I have been coming here for several years with multiple pets and I have always been extremely satisfied. This may sound funny, but I actually enjoy waiting in the lobby because of the atmosphere and constant circulation of people and pets i see here. the front staff is super friendly and everyone is so caring. I have meet all the vets (4 total) and each one is personable and knowledgeable. I come here for all my animals care (grooming, shots, boarding, surgery, emergencies, food, etc.). They do it all. I love these guys, and highly recommend them.

I got a puppy and took her in for her first round of shots and de-worming. I was told to come in 3 weeks later. When I went in they acted like they didnt know what was going on. They werent expecting me even though I had an appointment. They gave the 2nd round of shots, but said nothing about the worms. I had to remind them. Overall, I didnt feel like they cared if I was there or not. I need a vet that takes an active interest in the health of my pet. Not just some one who gets me in and out as quick as possible like a revolving door.

I think that people often dont think to write a review when they have an good experience. This might be the case with the reviews below. I am writing because I have had a couple of very good experiences here. Dr. Palidin is a kind and gentle person. He was in the unfortunate position to give me bad news about my cat and did so with care. Everytime that I have made an appointment, they were ready for me within 5 minutes of arrival. They charge fairly and even allowed me to sit in back with my sick cat for hours on end.

Without a doubt this is the best vets in town. Ive been to them all & this is the only place Ive ever been to where they have a loving & caring heart for animals! The vets here truly want to see your animal healthy & they dont run unnecessary testing. Truly remarkable place. I have heard that some people dont like the front staff but remember that the front desk doesnt work on your animals. So think of your animal & dont let your judgements get in the way of proper care for your loved animals.

We have always received good service from CMAH. Dr Paladin in particular is kind and gentle and we always feel good every time we leave. If I was to give constructive criticism I would say the counter staff could work on their attitude a bit. Some are cheerful and greet you warmly. Others are a bit cold. As those are the people customers see first and last during their visit its important for them to provide A+ customer service.

Both my cat and I had great experiences with these vets. Well, I probably had a better one than he did, if you know how cats are with vets. I usually went for regular check ups, but once we had tooth problems, and they handled it with great care. I always found them to be very reasonably priced compared to similar services provided by other local cathouses (ha!). I plan to take my next one there.

I had my cats teeth cleaned there a year ago. I had them cleaned at another vet the following year and I was informed that they left non-dissolvable stitches in the cats mouth from where a tooth was pulled! They have a lot of kids working there that dont know what theyre doing.
