We had a 4 NEW patient appointments set for (two on 9/19/2014) and (two for the morning of 09/20/2014) There was ZERO parking available, my husband had to Circle the building for an hour and a half before he was finally able to snag a spot. We had appointments set for 415 pm and 445 pm on the 19th, and we did not get taken back until about 530pm. I have NEVER had to wait so long just to have XRays taken, my 3 yr old was there for his very first dentist appointment and it was RIDICULOUS to have to wait so long! We were told that sometimes adults that have their children with them are sometimes turned away because of the children being there (even if the child has an appointment too) do you know how ludicrous this is??! I have NEVER been turned away because of having my child with me, and that is asinine to be told on my first visit that I should NOT bring either of my children with me next time. I wanted to schedule my entire family at the same time that way we only had to make ONE visit to the dentist, but I was told that your company does NOT allow this, that the most appointments I can schedule at the same time are 3. We spent almost 3 and a half HOURS the night of September 19th at your office in Concord, and this was just a ROUTINE CHECKUP! We have a family of 4 with Double Insurance and it took over 2 HOURS the following morning again for a checkup (my husband didnt even get his cleaning done because we had already been there so long! We were also told the morning of the 20th that your company allows an appointment to be made every half hour, yet it takes MUCH longer than 30 minutes to take care of ONE person, no matter what they are there for. How ridiculous is it to have double booked EVERY chair you have and thus causing frustrated and irritated customers. We will NOT be returning to ANY of your offices because of the ridiculous experience we have had. We are giving the suggestion to cut back on the number of appointments you set, make your rooms a little bigger, and giving your staff the time needed to take care of their patients without feeling rushed and stressed about how many more people are sitting in the FULL waiting room. (We literally had to stand around and wait for a chair to open up in the waiting room) The morning of the 20th, our appointments were set for 830am and 9am... and again, when we got to the parking lot it was already full, and we couldnt get a parking spot for 20 minutes, therefore, having to circle the parking lot again, and almost fight other customers off to snag the parking spot we found. We have a 3 yr old and a 1 yr old, neither of which is easy to get to sit still in a waiting room for very long. We do not have family out here, nor do we trust anyone enough to watch either of our children for us, and because of that, we have to take our children with us ANYWHERE we go. Just another reason we dont feel like your offices are very accommodating!

Oh... where to start, lol? These people prey on low-income, un-insured families who dont maybe realize the unusual and shady practices uncommon to 99.9% of dentist offices. Save yourself some heartache and find another dental provider. If you do ignore this advice, make sure to bring a good book because you will wait an hour or more past your scheduled appointment time to get out of the waiting room into a chair, and after that an additional half hour to 45 minutes to begin your session. Heres my experience: Needed to take half days off work to receive a service which only took 1 hour. Got hit on by staff (I dont want to mention who, Im not that cold hearted). During my oral surgery for which I was wide awake, the surgeon continually yelled at the assistant for holding the instruments incorrectly... and then ended up holding them himself WHILE drilling away my tooth! I was frightened to death. Was asked to sign a contract that I would not pursue a lawsuit after I had been injected with Novocaine and was prepared for surgery! Oh, did I mention they charge you for future services? In my experience, while I was sitting in the chair with the dentist hovering over me. Ive never had to hand over a credit card to begin services with a dentist. And Ive also never been pre-charged for future appointments! Now here comes the fun part... when they pre-charge you and you elect not to receive the future services, you will typically need to call 4 times and stop into the office to try and get your money back (which I still havent gotten back 3 months later). Also, received a collection notice saying my account was overdue and had never actually received a bill. Called to ask for a detailed bill of why I owed money when I had pre-paid for the services I did receive AND the services I elected to not receive and they threatened me with a you signed a contract agreeing to pay... yada yada. Thats interesting, because I highly doubt I signed a contract agreeing to pay for services I did not receive. To any avail, I have a compliant filed with the Better Business Bureau because Ive been doing this run-around for too long with both the cooperate and local office. And right after this, Im calling my insurance company to let them know they have been over-billed for services, so Western Dental can have fun explaining this to Blue Crosss collections department. Oh... and if you plan to get in touch with the office manager, good luck to you! Apparently she arrives in the office after noon and promptly takes lunch for the rest of the day!

When I saw some of the reviews; I was a bit nervous; but most of them seem to be nitpicks with regards to some of the following: price (which can depend heavily the care needed & on your insurance coverage), wait times (which might depend on when you plan your appointment & show up), or how nice the facility is itself. Honestly, paying for medical (or sorry, dental...because your teeth arent part of your "health") is sort of a mess due to the insurance system; so I dont feel fair faulting them for that, though it also helped I had good insurance through work. The facility is a little crowded, and there are spots that look like it could use some fresh paint; but all of the *actual* dental equipment looks very clean & well-maintained. I had been without dental insurance for awhile, so I went in fearing the worst. After getting some dental x-rays, they recommended removing my wisdom teeth & filling a cavity. I got my wisdom teeth removed the same day, and while it was a pretty uncomfortable experience (back of the mouth makes it worse) it was over pretty quickly and I didnt have any pain, so I felt like they did a good job. The next week they checked to make sure I was healing up fine, and filled my cavity; which was almost boring / relaxing compared to the wisdom tooth extraction. No pain, and it was over pretty quick. There was a little wait, but I brought a book and went on a Saturday when I wasnt busy. All in all it was a pretty good experience, and the parts that were unpleasant (i.e. actually getting dental work) were managed as well as possible.
