After being in a terrible horrific car accident and had started experiencing extreme pain from a lower disk injury and sciatic nerve damage so intense that it would make me so depressed and wince at even breathing. I was so feed up with all the doctors visits, prescriptions, injections, massages chiropratic adjustments, etc. that made no improvement, until one day I was so severe I fell down and couldnt get back up to even walk, that my co-worker suggest I go to this acupuncturist he know that was close by. I had heard from my ex-husband that he had been to one and it helped some.. I just couldnt believe that it was truly going to do any good and was skeptical since my ex was such a deceiver. But, at that point I just wanted to die so figure I had nothing to lose and out of other options. Dr. Joo was amazing and so caring that he seemed to feel my agony also and promised to do everything in his power and knowledge to assist me. Within an hour and a half (and he wouldnt stop treatment until I was able to stop screaming from the pain) I was miraculously able to stand again and felt like running. God has definitely blessed Dr. Joo with being a remarkable healer. He really knows his stuff. There is definitely something to this science of holistic healing because while I was under his care for my degenerated disk unaware to Dr. Joo, I had been suffering from infertilty trying for over 15 years to have a baby and during the course of taking the vitamins and tea he gave me, once my treatment plan of 10 weeks was finished and I had felt like a brand new person to my surprise about six months later I was pregnant. Thank you so much Dr.Joo.

Amazing! I was in a car accident back in November and was suffering from bad bad lower back pain. I was referred to physical therapy but after some time I saw no difference. I was still experiencing lower back pain. PT told me the accident caused a misalignment in my pelvis but didnt treat properly. Anyway! I Finally decided to go back to my doctor and see different options to treat my pain. I was referred to acupuncture and it was the best thing my insurance did for me. I have been seeing doctor j for about 2 months and a 1/2 and it has been the best thing. During our initial consult he took the time to figure out ALL of my medical history, how I felt, where my pain was & made a plan to treat me. He explained that for the next three months the pain would fluctuate but would eventually get much much better. He found underlying causes that have been causing me pain for quite some time. This pain would make me cry during out first sessions as he touched to figure out where it was coming from. As time has progressed I am so pleased to say that I no longer cry and I am a firm believer in acupuncture, cupping, and electro therapy! Acupuncture doesnt even hurt! I barely feel it! I fall asleep during treatment and Dr. always makes sure that Im doing okay! He is always so nice, courteous and respectful! If youre skeptical I truly truly recommend JW health, it has been a life changer. I am much happier than Ive been because I dont have my back pain like it was before. Its still a work in progress but I am pleased and will continue to see Dr. Joo

Dr. Joo is "the real thing!" Ive been to numerous acupuncturist before, however, he is a true "miracle worker! I personally went to see him for severe/chronic neck pain & severe anxiety/depression about 2-3 months ago, and I must admit, he is "life changing!" My body simply couldnt tolerate "drugs" (aka antidepressants) and I knew that I needed to really take a holistic healing approach. One day, after having about my 3rd dental emergency procedure within a month (which worsened my neck/jaw pain) I literally stumbled into his new office he had just opened (in addition to his Compton location) RIGHT NEXT TO MY DENTIST!!! He really does have "healing hands", Id go far enough to say he is truly "gifted" and his technique is very precise. Im feeling so much better now-a-days and can truly say that being under his treatment, following his instructions in taking his "customized herbs" truly helped me turn the corner in feeling so much better and filled with energy these days!! Its a process, but when you put your best efforts in taking care of your body and following a strict and healthy regimen by Dr. Joo, you will reap the rewards of a healthy body! Im very blessed to have stumbled upon him and his beautiful wife, Kelly! By the way, Kelly is the esthetician, and keeps my skin looking radiant with her AWESOME facials!!!! I highly recommend him,..he is there to heal you & totally worth it,..at least, that is the case for me, thank goodness!!

To everyone out there who suffers from chronic severe migraines, I am writing this review for you (my first review ever), to tell you about my personal experience with acupuncture. I don’t want to make this too long so I’ll try to be as brief as possible. I’ve been suffering from severe chronic migraines for over 23 years. I’ve been on all types of migraine medication. When my migraines get too intense, I go get an injection for the pain. Recently (about a month ago) I was suffering from a 3-day long migraine. I went to “urgent care” to get an injection for the pain which did not work at all. I was so desperate for some relief that I was willing to try ANYTHING to take pain away, then I though about acupuncture and I Google’d clinics around my area. And that is how I found Dr. Joo’s office. I immediately called and he took me in that same evening. After that first session my migraine was 90% gone! I was completely amazed! During that first appointment Dr. Joo explained what was causing my migraines, and gave me a treatment plan. I’ve been taking Dr. Joo’s tea for almost a month now, and can tell you that my migraines have improved dramatically. I have had a couple of mild migraines since, but they are nowhere as severe or last as long as they normally do. I strongly recommend anyone who suffers from chronic pain to visit Dr. Joo. I am so thankful that I did!

I went to Dr. Joo with migraines, neck pain, upper left back pain, constipation problems and most of the time; I always felt tired (after sleeping over 9-10 hours.) Dr. Joo recommended me some herb teas that he personally makes. I purchased the teas and Im noticing a big difference in my body. My skin is getting better, my constipation has improved, I dont feel as tired and overall I feel so much better than 2 months ago, but of course his acupuncture services have also made a big difference in my body. I love the fact that he takes his time during his procedures and most important he listens to you as a patient. He is the best acupuncturist in town. I highly recommend him as an acupuncturist. I feel great and Im very happy with his services. Im not 100%, but like he says, "patience and no pain no gain" Im noticing a difference in my body and a happy with the results! Happy body happy life!
