Very caring Staff and an Outstanding Nurse Practitioner, Dawn Shah, FNP. I am really surprised at the other negative reviews. I have been seeing going to NCHS in Encinitas since I became disabled and had to switch insurances in 2016. I have been absolutely delighted with how caring the staff is and my Nurse Practitioner, Dawn Shah who is acting as my Primary Care Physician is EXCELLENT. Frankly, Dawn has been more thorough than any MD that I have experienced and has the sweetest deposition with a wonderfully caring "bedside manner". I have never felt rushed through any of my many appointments; Dawn answers all of my questions (thats a lot as I have many medical challenges happening), completes any needed paperwork for me while I am there, and explains my medical course of action. The Medical Assistants go over everything again with me, insuring I have all the paperwork I need (lab requisitions forms, etc) and that I fully understand what I need to do next. The back office Assistants (Oscar, Christian, Monica ... I know I am leaving people out) and Front Office have been so welcoming and kind to me from day one. I am always been treated like a person not a number. I actually look forward to seeing them, and I dont like being sick nor do I like going to see doctors. The other aspect I like is that they have easy to navigate, patient portal. I can access my many lab results and even consultative notes online and email Dawn directly with any questions. This has been so helpful in so many ways. Dawn Shah, FNP and her staff have my highest recommendation. They are a very special group of caring, committed, and top-notch medical professionals.

The only thing employees at this NorthCountyHS location care about is to schedule as many appointments with patients as possible to maximize their profit. Almost every time I went in I was given wrong/different information. Its been over 2 months and no one seems to know for sure how to complete/sign disability forms. Yep, simple as that, but probably way too complicated for NorthCountyHS business. Oh BTW, submitting a complain form on a site does absolutely nothing. I left mine with a phone # included, but never got a call.

Horrible - they do not return calls. Ive left a few message with their on staff nurse and even she hasnt called me back. I have since found a new health care provider.
