My husband was diagnosed with a Brain Tumor, he was told by our local hospital that he needed immediate surgery. He asked the attending neuro Doctor if perhaps he could be sent to a VA hospital. He was told there were one to two month waits to be admitted to the VA. He could not wait for his surgery. Our local hospital made some calls to the VA on a Saturday. Within 24 hours she had a bed and a surgical team standing by for him at David Grant. We have had nothing but the best care and treatment from the Doctors down to the volunteers at David Grant. He was transferred by medical ambulance and had his surgery. He is making a recovery from that and now we are just awaiting test results and other appointments with other Doctors. We felt we had been given a miracle to be excepted into David Grant on such a short notice. God Bless all the great teams at this medical center. Mrs. Darrell Smith

Had two surgeries for BC. Mammogram dept above PAR. Dr. Bepko stands out for being a great Dr. Same day surgery staff exceptional (except one gal who missed my veins completely and gave me attitude when asking for another one. the other one didnt do a good job either, but was at least nice.) the worse part of the day was the WIV. the surgeons are outstanding. Dr. Choi was very patient and did a n excellent job rebuilding my breast. I think if you do surgery here, dont do it during Christmas time because the staff in same day surgery was FAR different my second time around. So for 2nd time around Jan 8, 2015.. 5 stars. and for some reason my review name is different. I am Celeste McCullough

The personnel here at David Grant Medical Center are beyond superior. From the doctors, nurses and meds techs they go above and beyond in caring for their patients. I have had 4 surgeries over the last fuel months for breast cancer. During these surgeries and stays I have felt that they have cared not just for my medical needs but for my emotional needs as well. I feel blessed to have this facility and its staff to care for me. Debra E Thogersen Chief Master Sergeant (Retired)

Oral Maxillofacial Clinic My daughter got an infection from having her wisdom teeth removed. We couldnt wait for her dental office to open so we went to the ER and from the on call staff to the head of the clinic to the students was nothing but round the clock care and compassion. My husband was gone and they made sure to let me stay with her during the whole event. It was something i wouldnt wish to happen to anyone but Im glad we had the OMF clinic to be there.

I love the care here, lots of respect, smiles, and professional (military) bearing. I think (active duty/open base) providers are far superior than any other facilities. Even currently active-duty providers who are serving/working at a VA hospital or clinic. Same training, hell, same provider, different facilities...BIG differences!

Hit or miss on medical providers at this facility...Ive had excellent care and also been told by a doctor that "Im active duty and I dont have time for you (during a scheduled appointment)." Probably the greatest example of government inefficiency, bureaucracy, and why a single-payer healthcare system should terrify all Americans.

Have been coming here for 20+ years with mostly positive experiences. Current PCM, Major Mendoza, is the best I have had. Staff are always professional. Only negative would be the pharmacy wait times. At times, your visit may be a training opportunity for others. Please allow them to learn through you.

This place is utter trash. Literally the worst medical facility in the ENTIRE Air Force. Takes forever to get any appointments and when you finally get one, they give you the run around and make you set up another appointment because they dont feel like doing any work that day.

Took my wife to the ER due to vomiting blood. We were seen quickly and had all the needed tests and care quickly. The ER is modern, and Dr. Nelles was very good. All our follow-up appointments were arranged, and everything was explained well. We were pleased.

This is by far the worst Military Hospital I have ever set foot in.My primary care doctor never returns my phone calls, she never has appoinments and the appointments I do get are sub standard care and are always rushed. I will be so glad to leave this station.

I would like to personally thank major Philip Perry for the surgery he performed on myself. The staff at the hospital were great. All in all it was a great experience. Although I hope it my last surgery.

Customer service and staff competency seems to be a low priority. Go to a civilian hospital if you can, you will be treated like a patient and not as an inconvenience.

Make sure you call and get ER wait times. That way you can make the decision to either die at home or die in the waiting room.
