The clinics close early, the director is dishonest and prevents the documentation of complaints against medical personnel and staff. They put false info into files. The patient advocate is, in reality, the directors advocate. Will not take complaints about nor investigate substandard care or treatment. The director does not allow patients to contact him regarding abuses, corruption malpractice issues. The patient advocate will not respond to most patient complaints, and sweeps them under the rug, with the directors consent. An orthopedic sturgeon, named Dr. Barry recently switched X-rays showing no cartilage in knee for someone elses X-ray showing healthy cartilage, to prevent me from obtaining needed surgery. I have copies of 5 years of X-rays, as well as MRI results showing bone on bone and no cartillage. Barrys switch and deception were on orders from the director. My physician input a referral to have an MRI on my shoulder for a possible rotator cuff tear. It has been two weeks since the referral was input and I still have not been called for an appointment. I tried to call the MRI clinic in Martinez and my first call the operator hung up on me. The second call I was transferred and nobody picked the phone up. I left a message and still have not been contacted.

Ive found that the VA doesnt take your health seriously at all, I have some serious medical issues and yet nothing is going on, my doctor doesnt even remember me coming into his office, my doctors nurse has denied my request for VA Choice which Ive waited over 30 days to see a Urologist Specialist and Im still waiting today :) Kaiser is a lot betters, hands down...

A contact name and number was provided for the caregiver support with instructions to leave a voicemail but cannot because "the mailbox is full" and had been for more than a month now. The representative at the 800 number was not helpful either. There goes customer service....

Been with Martinez Va for 10 years now and we have a great team of Doctors. Our life in the beginning was overwhelming with appointments but it was necessary. We are now in a better place in Life, marriage and I cant thank our team at the Va enough...

Im very happy with the help at the martinez VA site. Ive been going there for about 3 years and anytime Ive had a question, it has been answered. Feb 2017. Ive had just as long a wait for an appt as Ive had with my other doctors.

Called ortho in late August was told someone would get back to me in 2 weeks ? I havent heard back and have called 5 more times .know no one answers the phone . What a joke this place is.
