Stephanie I have known the longest since the new crew has arrived here in Folsom. She has been a welcoming and gentle person. We first met her about 6 months ago when she did the last round of cleanings for our family. She has always been easy to speak with in resolving questions and concerns. Previously the office had great doctors and staff who treated us all very well. We felt as if they really cared about us as people and not just as money opportunities walking thru the door. We were given fair assessments and not ridiculous diagnosis. There seems to be a lot of transitioning of staff within the Western Dental group. This has been frustrating for us as we have been changed to many dentists which have different standards of care. There was one man, who is no longer here, who freaked out my daughter saying she had 25 cavities. When she was reassessed by another dr, the number was brought down to 10, which is still a lot! Jazmin Works at this location in the office. She has always been cheerful and helpful when I have called the office or been there in person seeking help in setting up appointments for myself or my children. The dentist office is not a favorite place to visit for our family, so it is refreshing to be greeted with a smile. Kelani has been helpful in having things updated in the kids charts so that we are able to take full advantage of our insurance benefits. Dr Kim is fantastic! He is clearly a perfectionist and my children have had good experiences with him working on them. I selfishly hope he stays at this location for a long time. Though it is still hard, they have been able to have a more positive experience. You can tell when someone really cares and is thorough. Thank you Dr Kim and all of your assistants! I cannot say the same for all the doctors. If I am perfectly honest, my children have been very intimidated by another doctor currently working in the office. Anxiety has been heightened because he seems frustrated with me, the mom and my daughter was the one under the drill! Fortunately Dr Kim was able to complete her work. It is already a scary place to be and I myself have high dental anxiety myself, even when I am watching my family being worked on. Overall the staff is great, the ones I have met and talked to. The office manager has been a good go between when we are trying to figure out coverage and costs, and what helps is the most as patients.

I would give it a zero star if theres such option. I was there in recent month and the wait was nearly 2 hours after appointment time (and that was during a time they werent supposed to be crowded, and i specifically confirmed with the receptionist before i went there), and the doctor was terrible (her name starts with a B, Indian heritage, the race wasnt important to me, but I must mention that b/c it seemed to be very important to HER as an Indian patient right before me received much better attitude ) . The doctor was condescending in her manner and voice when she spoke with me. She did not seem to care to answer a basic question I asked (ie, what other options do i have), a horrible attitude to treat a patient (and a NEW one!). When i asked her about the option of transferring X rays that they just took to another doctors office, she replied she didnt know. Shes only here to work. That brought up a good point. This isnt her practice. Keep in mind that this is not a private practice, where physicans/dentists have a lot more incentives to CARE about the people they service. If you have ANY way to find a different doctor on your insurance plan, please do yourself a favor and shy away from this group. The doctor may very well had a rough day, but it was no excuse to treat a new patient with no respect. I dont mean to be all negative, besides this doctor and the X ray guy who messed up the photos and asked to re-take (which means suffering all over again), every one else was all smiles and helpful at the front desk, including the doctors own assistant in the exam room. And Im very grateful of their help. i do not wish to return to this office. It was my first and last visit there. In fact i am planning to file a complaint to local BBB.

I am so finicky about dentists, especially Western Dentals, as Ive been to a few for myself with horrible experiences, and so Id completely swore them off, ESPECIALLY for my own kids. But I heard a lot of good about the Western Dental in Folsom, so I decided to give it a try for my daughter, whom needed a little dental work, and definitely braces. We have amazing insurance, and so in turn, a huge selection of orthodontists, and dental offices to choose from. But after coming to this Western Dental, I will not be taking my child ANYWHERE else. I was surprised. The place was very clean, incredibly professional, and the staff were amazing. We had to use both sides, the dental and ortho, that day. All the staff were very accommodating, kind, professional and compassionate. We never had a single wait, and we were there having work done, braces, and working with billing the whole entire day. They worked with us, kept their word, and were on top of everything. I was so incredibly comfortable and confident in all the staff and their ability to cater to our needs and concerns. My daughter was so nervous before, but once she was there, she was completely at ease through all her work and braces. They were so accommodating to our insurance and billing needs and worked with me to make it happen for my lil girl. Shes about to enter high school, and I really thought Id never be able to afford her braces aside from what my insurance wouldnt cover, but they made it happen! My girl will now have the smIle and confidence her sensitive 14 year old self truly needs right now. Thank you! We live almost 2 hours away and will always gladly make this commute, we wont go anywhere else.

Wow so where do I even start. First off I wanna say I was super skeptical because when you look at western dental ratings is usually between 2-2.5. But I decided to go instead and lets just say Im glad I did. I needed braces really bad and every where I went they wanted 1000 down but not western dental they did no money down and my payments were very affordable. Now to the good part lol. They staff there are A1. They are the best. Me personally I like to converse and not just sit there bored out my mind. They staff had me cracking up the whole time. They were nice polite and made sure I had a smile on face at all times. If it was up to me( which its not) but I would say that these fantastic ladies deserve not only a lunch but a raise as well lol. The whole ortho staff does. They are amazing. I would like to single out one lady although I dont wanna take a way from the team because there great. But man I must say Laura( aka laurita) was absolutely the best. She had me laughing the whole time made sure I was ok. And just overall an outstanding women. Sorry for the long review but I just had to let everyone know that the ortho team at western dental on Riley street are the best. Look forward to seeing them all again.
