I have been a client of 3 different animal hospitals in the Fremont area over the past 20 years. I keep coming back to Irvington. Initially I took my cat to Irvington and mostly had it treated there until when I was out of town my neighbor took my cat to another hospital due to an emergency visit. But I returned to Irvington Pet Hospital. Many years later I got my first dog, a rescue dog that needed some expensive initial dental work. At first I was going to go to Irvington but another reputable animal hospital was having a "special" on dental cleaning so I took my dog there. However I noticed he was always very anxious over there. At Irvington, when we drive up to the parking lot, he is always very happy to arrive! They have a beautiful new facility, a very good staff who are well trained and truly connect with the animals and two excellent and very experienced doctors. If you want to take your pet somewhere where you really feel the staff and doctors love animals as much as you do, this is the place.

An Experienced, Professional, Gentle Veterinarian! - As both the owners of (2) awesome kitties and owners of a professional pet sitting and dog walking company, we are hyper-aware of the quality of care that our pets (and our customers pets) receive! Irvington Pet hospital, and the staff and doctors who work there, are among the best in the Fremont area! Our kitties have received care from both Dr. Rue and Dr. Mertens, and both are excellent! We feel confident placing our pets care in their capable hands, and know that they will always receive quality veterinary care at an affordable price. We give Irvington Pet Hospital, the doctors and the awesome staff an A+!

Dr. Rue has been a wealth of information and help with our new puppy. She gave us practical tips on being new owners (from crate training, dealing with separation anxiety, and socializing) as well as keeping Cocoa healthy. Additionally, when Cocoa had an unfortunate accident at the groomers, Dr. Rues staff squeezed us in the same day so Cocoa could be seen. I appreciated that Dr. Rue gave us a couple of treatment options and ultimately helped us decide on the least invasive (and least costly) option. I totally trust Dr. Rue with the care of our dog and she has a wonderful staff in both her front and back offices!

We took our Yorkie, Lucky here as he was in some pain. We didnt even have an appointment but the staff was able to accomodate us and was seen by Dr. Rue right away. Dr. Rue was just amazing. We walked out of there with full understanding of what is going on with Lucky and clear next steps, thanks to Dr. Rues expertise and guidance. The staff was great, very professional and the clinic was spotless. We can tell this clinic is run very well and we are so happy we decided to take Lucky here.

I brought my cat in, since with another vet, were not able to handle him even being drugged. So was very apprehensive, cage, carrier, drugs? Was told no drugs, regular carrier. In visit he was pulled out nails, clipped, front back we were going what! Dr. Rue took temp, checked ears, gave shots. We were in total shock! Really made my day.

Found starving/dehydrated kitty (3 weeks) in park and came to Dr Rue. She rescued him and now kitty is adopted and has family.
