They are open 24 hrs. I called them at 12:30 AM about my very ill cat. They said "bring him right in" but did not give any indication as to why other than he sounds sick. When I got there, no one was there. I sat down. 5 min. later a girl came from the back. No other patients were there. I was crying. Without saying a work, they took my cat to a back room. For the next 7 minutes I was goven a volume of paperwork, and interrogated.... see my ID, how was I paying.. etc. I am a silent non stop waterfall... robot answering Yes, No, Visa...! .. NOT ONE single word of kindness, .... from anyone... only payment. Money! I asked "Is he with the Vet?" one word Yes! Im wondering why they didnt say the Vet was with him?? or the Vets name .... or anything. 7 minutes later a lady walked in and said "he is very sick!" I KNEW that! The second sentence was how much can you afford for his care? I answered "Are YOU the Vet?" No info. on what is wrong, no compassion, just money ..... again! Right then I knew I made a mistake! No one was comforting, everything was business and money. Do you people even "care" about animals?? ... or people?? NO!! My beloved cat had to be put to sleep. I got a few minutes with him but kept getting interrupted by the so called Vet. When she said, "If you dont hurry he may die before we can give him the shot!" WHAT!!! So, you mean to say you wont get paid for the shot if he dies first??? I couldnt believe anyone working with animals could be so calloused and focused on MONEY!! When she did take him she held him under his front legs and his whole body & legs was hanging. He meowed in pain! I said please support his lower part, she said "I am not hurting him,.... see!" still holding him like a side of beef! He was clean, had no disease or injury... no need to make him so uncomfortable. Cat kept whaling in pain staring at me... "help".. She again refused to support his body so I just said "I cant stand here and take this! It is too horrible!" and walked out. I was changed $100 for visit and $100 for I dont know what! NO one ever told me what they did or tried or game him. I strongly advise NO ONE go there, ever! I also doubt if that woman was a real Vet even though she and the office said she was. She was cold arrogant and only cared if I had enough money. This will affect me for years! Horrific!!!

They seem to be the only 24/7 readily available emergency vet clinic in this area. The service was immediate and they were available when nobody else was and saved our pets life. The bill was high and after the animal was out of immediate danger we werent impressed with the service. They were very busy and didnt have a lot of time to devote to our pet other than for emergency triage. Our pet stayed 24 hours ($1500 bill) and they did allow us to visit him multiple times when they werent busy, which was nice. It is a mixed ward and the dogs in nearby cages added to our cats stress level. We would recommend this clinic only for emergencies when another vet is not readily available, and would recommend seeing a different vet for a better diagnosis and treatment when the animal is out of immediate danger.

My cat has had problems a couple of times that have driven me to take her to the nearest emergency clinic--which this seems to be for me. I have had no problems with the performance or service at this clinic. During my most recent trip, they took my cat to the back to examine her while I was still filling out paperwork. Although it was fairly late at night, people were still available and they were professional but compassionate when they dealt with me. They made sure to contact my vet after the last time to ensure that they had the details and that my cat was getting proper care and exams for her conditions. Overall, I have had nothing but satisfactory performance with this clinic.

Tuffy was vomiting blood so we took him to Ohlone Animal Hospital. They said it was probably a hairball and perscribed Laxatone, $200.00. Over the next 3 months he continued to get worse. We took him to Central Animal Hospital where he got x-rays and blood tests and we spent $750.00 for them to tell us they did not find anything. Central refered us to Vetcare Emergency Specialist Care in Dublin where they did a sonogram and found stomach cancer for only $400.00. Too late, the cancer spread to his intestines, the Doc said his chances were very low. We had to put Tuffy asleep. Go to Vetcare in Dublin if you want to keep your pet alive. Ask your vet if they have an Ultrasound Machine.

My cat began urinating with spots of blood on Christmas, and the Ohlone Emergency Clinic was open. We had good luck with a vet from there who covered for our vet in the past, so we took the cat in. The most I can say is that my cat didnt die there overnight. However, $900 later, for one night in the hospital, my cat wasnt any better. On follow-up, when my cat was making no progress, my regular vet (Tisdale) treated my cat in 45 minutes - prescribed something different, and cured my cat within a week. The one test Dr. Tisdale needed hadnt been done at Ohlone.

I went there as an emergency because my dog kept on vomitting. They said she seemed to have some kind of viral infection and needed antibiotic shot. But instead of treating her right away which was most needed at the time, they just kept on saying if I pay this much, they can do this test, and if I pay that much, they can do that test....... , kept on and on. At the end I almost screamed that look, the dog is very sick right now. do the first thing first!. I thought they really did not have any compassion toward animal but just the money was important.

Great emergency care provided to my dog with a nasty fox-tail and uncontrollable sneezing/nosebleeds accompanying it. Really good doctor who explained very clearly what was afflicting my puppy so bad and what had to be done. Really glad I did not wait at all and headed straight to this clinic looking at the size of the foxtail that was pulled out - more than an inch long and nasty as they come. Hope this is the first and last time my poor dog experiences this.
