OMG!!! THIS PLACE IS HORRIBLE! The scheduling staff is rude and horrible. They call and cancle all the time or schedual me over meetings making me wait hours.The Dr are never reliable. The maternity center is disgusting. The female Dr., Vanita Lott is so horrible. She is degrading rude and very passive aggressive. She admits if she doesnt like you and scoffs at questions and even your body during a physical. She has no respect for her patients. She has made me feel so uncomfortable that I literally have some one in the office with me because of how unprofessional she is with horrible bedside manner. I have gone to maternity health with all my children since 2007. The new drs and new practice has gone from a 10 to a 0 in my opinion. I seriously cant believe they are running with such rude practitioners and staff. I will be making a complaint with medical and the California board of physicians. I cant believe Heather Luccas-ross actually allows this. Maybe it says a lot about who she really is as a Dr. I have never been so offended and hurt by a Dr office. Oh yeah they canceled my appointment that was on my dude date and was extremely rude about the reschedule for friday because apparently the scheduling staff told me I should feel lucky because the Dr is never in on Fridays... Yes I feel lucky you all are so rude along with the Dr. Ontop of my due date coming and going with no regard. Wish I had found a different Dr as soon as I started having issues. I actually dont know any one with anything nice to say about this place any more. Like I said try your hardest to find a different Dr office.

I would give it no stars if I could. I moved out of the county for the sole reason of I wouldnt be forced by Medi-cal to see the idiots at this practice. Dr. Penner is what I would call a janitor who found a stethoscope and decided to play doctor. I have Hidradenitis Suppurativa. He read me the Wikipedia definition, (I have had this for 16 years) and then gave me an antibiotic, which never works but he wouldnt listen. He then gave me Penicillin, to which my chart says I have an allergy, and then got mad at me, because I told him my throat would close which meant he needed to write a new script. Every script I had, CVS had to have it changed because the medication had been revoked off of the market. When I asked staff to change, they told me I needed to submit a request in writing, and I could maybe get a new doctor. I worked for a hospital for 4 years, you cant force a patient to get care from someone they feel isnt meeting their needs. 0/10 do not recommend for anyone. Oh ALSO, their main psychiatrist, when having a review with her, tried to tell me my sexual assault wasnt actually assault, because apparently you dont need to give consent when youre SLEEPING, as long as you had been intimate in the past. The only good things about that place are Tracy , one of the therapists and the Urgent Care. Other than that this place can go to hell.

The WORST URGENT CARE CENTER I have ever encountered ANYWHERE, EVER. There interoffice infrastructure is fatally flawed, to where I have had to call (I am not exaggerating) more than 30 times between the office and the pharmacy over the course of 3 days and STILL they did not send in my ear drops for a an ear infection - meanwhile I am in horrific pain, 2 pharmacies are calling in for me as well trying to help, saying how ridiculous it is that they cannot get anyone to respond - they keep telling me they are going to take care of it, and keep NOT calling me back and NOT taking care of it. Literally every 2 hours I was following up, theyd assure me they were on the case, and then when I did would not have done anything, and then would close for the day, this has been going on for 3 days. The doctor visit itself, the doctor stood by the door, spent about 2 seconds with me and couldnt be bothered with questions. This place is abhorrent, and I am someone who is generally always satisfied with my service no matter where I go, and doesnt complain, but this place brought me to tears. DO NOT GO HERE, it is the most disorganized and poorly run practice I have ever seen in my entire life.

I work in the medical field as well and in scheduling, all i really want to say is if your going for prenatal care and you want personalized attention or even common decency dont schedule with western sierra or Dr. Mack. Im 7 months pregnant and have been going here for a couple months and have yet to see Dr. Mack i have had two appointments with him and they call me same day everytime to cancel with silly excuses, and when they want to reschedule me with lack of accommodation it is always weeks out to only be canceled on again.. My experience there has been far from pleasant and/or efficient and they have shown me far from professional. Ill leave it at that but could go on and on about how unorganized this "practice" is. I was warned before going there but gave it a chance due to my insurance minimizing my options in this county, im now scheduled to go to truckee, its an hr drive but that is how strongly i feel about never going back to western sierra.

Ive been going to this clinic since it opened and have always found them to be professional and pleasant. Whenever I have needed their services, Im able to get an appointment in between 1-2 weeks without issue. The doctors attend to my needs and perform as well as youd expect a professional doctor in a clinic with limited resources to perform. What you wont get from this clinic, free specialist care. To my knowledge, there arent any specialists on staff and if you have standard free insurance, youll have to drive to Sacramento or Yuba City to see a specialist.

Ive been with this clinic since it was Miners Health, so at least 4 years. Generally I find them helpful, friendly and havent had horrible experiences. The blood drawing facilities are incredibly inefficient and take a really long time. Sometimes the pharmacy is a bit bumbling, but hopefully those are just new business hiccups. The clinic itself has always treated me with respect, been kind and generally I think the care is as good as any other place, including private clinics.

I went through my whole pregnancy with Vanita Lott. She was very patient and understanding and helped me through the whole process and then some. After my daughter was born we saw Dr. Curtis for her pediatrician and he was fantastic! We have since moved and I have not been able to find anyone who compares. Yes things can be hectic at times, as with most clinics but every doctor I saw here was amazing and the receptionists were friendly and helpful.

Im a new patient with WSMC, I am pretty happy with them. Although, my very first appointment with my appointed Dr, or PA should I say, was rushed & I didnt feel as though he was in anyway listening to me, or did he believe me when I explained my medical conditions. I will probably need to switch Drs, because I have a lot of medical conditions and I need a doctor that has a genuine concern for his/her patients.
