Im a Freshman at UC Irvine and I ended up getting a really bad eye infection out of nowhere. Im not originally from here and I live on campus at the dorms. I looked up Park Place Optometry on the internet and found out its down the street from UCI. I called the office and they were full that day, I explained what was wrong and the Dr. stayed late just to see me. Dr. Tran was very nice and I didnt feel rushed at all. Sure he speaks fast, but that doesnt matter to me. My insurance is terrible and the doc explained that my prescription meds would be very expensive, he knew as a student I could not afford it and he gave me samples of meds for me to treat my eyes for free. My infection cleared up in several days and I am one happy camper! Now a few other of my hallmates have gone to Dr.Tran for exams and sunglasses and we all love him!

i thought i would try this place out and was thoroughly disappointed. dr. tran talked way too fast and his front office staff were not very friendly. i ordered my contacts through this office and they gave me the wrong prescription boxes twice for my right eye. (it was supposed to be 6.75 they gave me 5.75!). then when i asked if i could get one more contact lense, since i had used two left lenses since the right ones were back ordered, they said no! what?!?! dont they get these lenses for patients to try?

This Optometry doctor is very kind and caring. He is a good doctor, and also gives me good services. He always checks my insurance coverage left and when I have the insurance money left, he contact me and lets me know, so I can buy more contact lens. The shop staff may not be knowledgeable, but the doctor is so good so since I moved to Irvine five years ago, I always go to this eye clinic. He may look hurried, but its because of his national cultural background. He has never been inpatient.

I have been dealing with this Optometry for a few years. And have found the prices very competive. I would recomend this place to anyone. Dr. Tran is an awesome guy and his staff is very professional. I tryed a different place before comming to Park Place and found that I didnt meet the criteria of that place. Very unprofessional

he is fast talking and if you dont like that he isnt for you. ive been coming back here for years. his is reasonably priced for contacts. parking is hell because he is in popular mall - thats why he is moving to another easier to park location but thats also why he isnt investing into the upkeep lately.

Dr Tran literally saved my vision. He caught an eye disease when my previous optometrist didnt. I was referred to ophthalmologist and when I went back to see dr Tran he gave me the most accurate prescription and now although I have high RX I see better than I have in decades

The equipment doctor uses are very old...out dated machines. Doctor was nice, but spoke extremely fast as though, he didnt care. The office gave a dirty impression. So, no treatment for me there.
