Its rather comical that my star rating comes out to be "Loved it" because Ive had the typical fears of the dentist, but Dr. Mai and her staff have some of the gentlest hands! I came to Ladera Denistry from a recommendation of my dentist in Northern California and was so glad to have found her right after I moved to Orange County. I have a tiny mouth and it is often difficult for technicians and dentists to work on it, but Dr. Mai and her staff are careful, mindful and gentle. I appreciate that Dr, Mai is thorough and practical in her recommendations for my teeth and I am really pleased with the kind of dental care I have received from her over the past year. The staff is really friendly and scheduling is easy as well. As a side note, dont confuse Dr. Mais office with Ladera Ranch Denistry! Similar names but they are different practices. I highly recommend Ladera Denistry! Quality care, excellent service and wonderful people!

I walked in the door to overly friendly office staff, I was introduced to 3 employees like Im a celebrity, and told that I would be given a tour. I was given gifts, and asked to fill out an hours worth of forms online for me and my daughter. Then I was told that my gums measured 3s, 4s and 5s, and with my top PPO insurance, my fee would be $1000 for a $400 deep cleaning, plus 4 fillings for me and 2 for my kid. I was refused a regular cleaning. Within 3 hours, I was sitting at another Ladera Ranchs Dental office, getting a free cleaning(covered by my insurance) and told most of my gums measured a 2! The reaction of that Dentist when he asked who said my gums had those numbers, he seemed unsurprised my the name, Dr Mai Ly. He acknowledged hearing this before about her. Ugh......I have no respect for people like Dr Mai Ly. I think that the Dental licensing agencies need to hear from me.

Walking in, I noticed a very clean and nicely decorated office. I checked in, and then was given a tour of the office. I had my x-rays taken and then Dr. Mai Ly came by to start the procedure. She re-cleaned my teeth because I had gone to a terrible dentist 2 weeks earlier- he did a terrible job. She was gentle, and I didnt feel any discomfort whatsoever. She was gentle, and continued to make sure I was comfortable throughout the cleaning. We then proceeded to a crown replacement procedure that involved numbing- and I was super nervous about this. But to my surprise, it was painless. Her technique magically involved no pain! This made me extremely happy and even more comfortable than I was already feeling. She was gentle, comforting and professional. I recommend Dr. Mai Ly to anyone and everyone!

This is the best Dentistry I have been to. The staff here at Ladera Dentistry are all very friendly and nice. I am greeted with warm salutations and smiles as I arrive or depart the office. Dr. Mai has been very informative of what is happening with my gums and teeth. Also, she is very detailed with the procedures before performing. I feel very safe in Dr. Mais care. It is hard to find a good dentist that you feel safe with and I glad I have found one with Dr. Mai. I recommend coming to Ladera Dentistry if you are trying to find great service and results for your dental care. I promise it will be worth the time to come in. They make sure your time there is spent wisely.

I have been a patient of Dr. Mais for many years and took my dad to see her today. Hes avoided the dentist for a few years and I had to convince him to go for a check-up, knowing that he wont go unless I take him. As I let the staff know of my dads aversion of seeing the dentist, everyone made sure that my dad felt comfortable and at ease as soon as we arrived. I appreciate that the entire staff, not just Dr. Mai, took great care in alleviating any fears that my dad may have had when he walked in the door. Dr. Mai made my dad feel so comfortable that for his next appointment in 2 weeks for a crown placement, he doesnt need me to go with him! Thanks Dr. Mai and team!

I just moved to Ladera Ranch and needed a new dentist. I did some reviewing and found Ladera Dentistry. Not only is the location very convenient but the staff was so welcoming it felt like a resort! To top if off they also do their jobs really well. I think I probably had my best cleaning ever - she was scraping away till every bit of plaque was removed while wearing binocular lenses - serious cleaning. Dr. Mai is also wonderful. She thoroughly examined me and didnt pressure sell any whitening systems....I really appreciate a dentist who isnt trying to upsell me all the time. In any case....if youre in the area, I highly recommend them.

I was very SUSPICIOUS seeing 85 reviews and almost ALL of them from out-of-town. Uhm, family and friends?? The local reviews were not so great (see Wally) but I called anyway. Being a new patient, I wanted information and cost of an implant. The receptionist was very aggressive and kept asking how I heard about their office and that I make an appointment and not answer my simple cost questions about an implant. Shouldnt my needs come first? Needless to say, it started to sound desparate and then she offered up a price range that was PRICEY - $2,500-$5,000!! WOW, I think Ill go elsewhere. Hard to believe the reviews from what I experienced.

My wife & I have been going to Dr. Mai since shortly after her office opened. We had tried several dentists before her and had been disappointed in one way or another. Weve been very happy with all aspects of our visits to Dr. Mais office. She & her staff are very caring and courteous. My cleanings are always pain-free. Ive had billing problems with my previous dentists, but Ive never had any billing issues with Dr. Mais office. My wife & I have been so pleased with Dr. Mai weve referred many family members, some of who live several cities away but who are now all are willing to drive to see Dr. Mai.

Like so many, I have had previous negative experiences when sitting in the dentists chair. Dr. Mais office was highly recommended by a family member, so I decided to go. I have not been disappointed. The staff is welcoming and very helpful. Dr. Mai is professional and very understanding of all those "dentist fears" people can have. She takes the time to listen and that is a very critical skill in any doctor. I know it sounds strange to give a 5 star rating of "Loved It" to a dentist, but considering my previous experiences with other dentists, Dr. Mai deserves the 5 stars.

I am one of those people that put off going to the dentist for years because I was nervous and scared to go. I found Ladera Dentistry on Yelp and read the amazing reviews. I thought it was to good to be true, but there were so many great reviews that I decided to give them a try. They were able to bring me in the same day because I was in pain, which I appreciated very much. The staff is very nice, the office is warm and inviting, and Dr. Mai is amazing. She is very gentle (she has tiny hands!) and made me feel comfortable with the procedure.
