Dr. Sumpter and team are fabulous. From personable and professional reception to the skilled vet techs to both vets at this practice. Ive had pets my entire life and a variety of vets but she and her team treat you and your pet like family. She and the team are very knowledgeable, caring, provide excellent service, have diagnostic tools such as ultrasound on the premise (this is important) and fair pricing. I have two dogs and she treats them both, the one Pom mix has even had multiple surgeries for cancer like tumors on his feet at her facility and again a first rate experience for us. We also take both of our dogs to them for dental and again, a great experience...they detected a tumor in my golden retrievers mouth that had gone undetected for years even though we had dental treatments 2xs a year. She personally answers your questions via email or via phone and again the follow up is unlike anything Ive experienced...these folks know veterinary medicine and just happen to combine it with a full level of compassion that you would hope for. Cant say enough good things about these folks and their skills! Its about you and your pet, not them trying to upsell you which gives you a greater level of comfort.

Our dog was a frequent visitor to Ladera Ranch Animal Hospital for one thing or another but one issue he is dealing with is chronic bronchitis. Dr Sumpter and Dr Mauna tried several courses to get his bronchoitis to go away, but it never did. It is something we are just going to have to live with. Instead throwing more money at it, they referred us out to a specialist who would be better equipped to deal with it. Although we now have a specialist dealing with the bronchitis, Ladera Ranch Animal Hospital remained involved. Dr Sumpter and Dr Mauna always checked in with us to see how his progress was, asked if the medications working to manage his bronchitis, ect...they worked very closely with his specialist to make sure there were no adverse reactions to the medications. They have always gone above and beyond and we truly appreciate that. We have recently moved out of California and miss Dr Sumpter, Dr Mauna and their entire staff! They are the BEST Vet office! Their person to person customer service is amazing and the entire staff takes care of your pet as if it was their own. They truly care for you and your pet.

My 5 year old cat became allergic to her own teeth. Dr. Sumter removed all her teeth and kept her for a week after the surgery to medicate her. Either Dr. Sumter or staff kept in touch with me and were very accommodating when I came in to visit her. They brought her into a room for me to visit. I picked her up a day early because Dr. Sumter was concerned she wasnt eating and thought she would eat as soon as she got home. She was exactly right! Callie ate as soon as she heard the kibble kit the bowl. The office and staff are professional and most of all they care about your pet. They are wonderful.

We have taken our two Jack Russell Terriers to Ladera Ranch Animal Hospital since it opened. They treat our dogs like family - and we dont feel like they are constantly trying to push unnecessary treatments or tests on us. We are given a thorough explanation of each dogs health and when available, cost-savings ideas for treatment. We could not be happier with them. Dr. Mauna is kind and gentle with our dogs and both he and Dr. Sumpter also treated our yellow lab when he ate rat poison at 3 months old. He wouldnt be alive today if it hadnt been for them and we appreciate the entire staff.

This animal facility is clean and the doctors and staff are very caring with all animals! I highly recommend them! They treat my dog and my cat as if they were their own. Dr. Mauna stayed after hours to do a procedure that was potentially life-threatening for my cat! We received the best care and didnt have to pay for an ER visit. My cat had a urethral blockage and his bladder was the size of a naval orange!! I cant say enough about the veterinarians here. They LOVE our pets! (I think they want to keep my dog!) Im so glad we found them!!

Our dog Chloe nearly died of an inflammation in her stomach last Christmas. Drs. Sumter and Mauna worked tirelessly on our behalf--during the operation our dog needed, as well as over the course of the extended recovery period. Im happy to say that Chloe made a full recovery and is as happy and energetic as ever. Theres no doubt in my mind that Chloe would have died without the excellent care and supervision she received. My family is very grateful to all the wonderful folks at Ladera Ranch Animal Hospital and I highly recommend them.

I have been taking my dogs to Ladera Ranch vet for almost 14 years. They are always polite, prompt and caring. The vets are great at communicating what is going on with my dogs and show that they truly enjoy what they do. I like how Ladera Ranch animal hospital has dental month, bath month and other great discounts to help me take care of my 10 small dogs with a slight savings from time to time. I recommend them to anyone in the area that needs a great vet.

We have been so happy with their care, compassion and service. We have elderly dogs- a 16 y/o husky & 11 y/o Great Dane. Theyve always provided amazing care. Today we found a lump, Dr Coins discussed our options. He then immediately fit us in & removed a cancerous tumor from my big-girls head. Shes doing well, and he took amazing care of her. I couldnt be happier with how we were treated. ❤️ They provided great care at a good price!

Sensitive and loving care was given to both my cat, Riley, and myself, during Rileys illness. The thoughtfulness of giving a contribution in Rileys memory was a great comfort to me. After 3 years, I have now been over the grieving process and have been able to adopt a wonderful little 4 year old female cat from the Irvine Shelter. The doctors a kind, knowledgable and give you there time. The fees are completely reasonable, really the best Ive come across. And everyone there is so calm and helpful, they make my Hopey girl not so scared.

Ladera Ranch Animal Hospital saved my dogs life! We took her in to get a small growth removed. Later, she kept bleeding, so the vet said to bring her back. He figured out that she had eaten rat poison somehow. She needed a transfusion. Another positive is that they are honest about what pets really need, never up-selling services.
