I know this place is for emergency services so OBVIOUSLY the prices will be higher but $900 to give my pet an IV of fluids and bloodwork!? It must be because its Newport and they think people are made of money. I even had pet insurance and it wouldnt have even put a dent in it. My dog was dehydrated and had just been neutered so he had diarrhea and a little blood in his stool but just a little but he was wanting to play and very peppy so I just got him the basics to get him through the night. Then took him to a regular vet in the morning. If you do use this place do take into consideration the status of your dog. If your dog or other animal is still very responsive and happy and peppy like mine was then use your best judgement. KNOW that you do NOT have to get all of the treatments in their estimates. Get the services that they absolutely need, if they can wait until the next day to get to your regular vet. I was happy with the staff they were very kind and knew exactly how to handle my agitated dog.

We have a cat who developed a severe auto immune disease and almost died last December. He must have two medications - an immune-supressant and an anti inflammatory. My husband usually gives this cat his medication, but last week he was out of town, and when I tried to give him his meds, he kept spitting them out. Each time I tried to give him the meds, he became more anxious and I could tell he was getting really stressed. Because it was a Sunday, the only solution I could come up with was to take him to an Emergency Clinic. I decided on Central Orange County Emergency Animal Hospital, because I had been there once before, and the vet was very kind and knowledgeable. Although I felt awkward and embarrassed explaining that I couldnt "pill" my own cat, the Tech said they could help me and took him in for the pill. She handled the situation very graciously and didnt charge an arm and a leg. Thank you, Central Orange County Animal Hospital!

They care only about $$$$$$ and not your pet. BEWARE of Dr Alley! Would never take another animal here. I get that its a business but when in the business of people pets/part of their family they should be more caring as that is part of the pet business. When I couldnt produce the money they asked the Dr became very callous & said then you should just put your animal down. I asked if my pet would make it thru night w/out treatment/money Dr Alley suggested & he said no. Well my dog made it. I question his credentials & a place that would have such a callous & deceitful Dr. They prey on peoples fragile emotions & thats not a business I want to give my money to.

I will update with the name of the vet that worked on my cat. This vet was laughing about my pet and making jokes...verbatim she said "give her the vit k tabs, her cat wont eat them but oh well." My cat was poisoned by a neighbor & severely sick. Obviously a serious matter. They did not tell me the truth. My cat could have been saved but they did not perform the proper protocol to save her. I also want to mention she tried charging me over $1,200 for services that only included minor things...a shot & pain shot...theyre out for blood here. No feelings whatsoever! !

These guys are courteous and kind. I had a sick older dog and I was worried as her health was declining rapidly and wasnt sure if she could make it through the night. They kindly answered the many phone calls with care, and when I did come in to have her put down, they treated my old girl with dignity and respect. I didnt have enough cash, so they helped set me up with a Care Credit account so I could get her ashes back. an extra special thank you to Alex, the office manager, who was a true savior that night. I would highly recommend coming here.

Ive brought our dog Scully twice here and left feeling as though he was well taken care of and I was rest assured. It feels horrible to wake up and our furry animals need help but our trusted vet isnt onen. The first time I came here, they were open and helped rest my fears that Scully was fine. They were welcoming to Scully, gave him a through exam, gave us answers, and followed up with our vet the next day. Today, when we needed some help for him again, we knew exactly where to go. They remembered him and were wonderful to him.

Dr. Haney is absolutely unethical. We took our dog here yesterday and got him treatment and she ends up calling my mom at midnight saying she cannot get her mind off the dog and will do anything to get him, she even tried purchasing our family member. Absolutely ridiculous, will never come back here again, do not come here. Will be filing a complaint with the veterinary board and by any other means. Family members are not for sale and anyone, especially a veterinarian should know that. Absolutely ridiculous. Dissappointing.

My sons friend was 17 when he adopted a very young kitten shortly after he lost his dad, and only parent. It was all he had in the world. The young man didnt have a job, a home of his own, or any money, but when he went into this animal hospital with his kitten and $50.00, the staff x-rayed and diagnosed the kitten. Sadly, the poor little thing was suffering from mega colon, was probably in serious pain, and needed to be put down. The staff showed kindness and compassion to kitten and this boy when really needed it.
