My puppy was a just a magnet for issues since 7weeks. We had been bringing him here for about 4 months and he got sick recently from ticks. Extremely hyper puppy so I knew something was serious because he was barely moving around, couldnt holdfood or water down. So my wife brings him in & the new doc calls me to suggest numerous testing and when the assistant called with the options it was more than I could afford at the time way more than the previous visits. We only had 2 options from them. So they gave him shots for the nausea & sent him home. The doc claims "He was wagging his tail and etc..." Implying that he was fine but you suggested we do $900worth of tests to try to see what the issue was. (red flag) My wife had to carry him to the car from the office it was clear he was extremely sick. I called to let whoever know that that was messed up to just give him shots for nausea which I couldve paid for myself (way less than 900) and send him home in that condition. The doc didnt tell me policy as to putting puppies down and so forth but went off on me for asking about that which I only asked because he looked like he was on his last wing. It hurt me but rather him be out of pain than just be home miserable because I couldnt afford the test at the time. I wasnt told about payment plans or anything. He calls me back 2 days later to yell at me about expressing my emotion to the assistant and when I tried to explain to him he hung up in my face. My wife called and spoke to the manager which he told her that I was screaming and he couldnt get a word in but it was the total opposite. This guy is not a professional. My puppy began pooping blood that night & passed the next day.(Parvo) He should have known the symptoms and at least offered to do some tests. I could care less about some shots I couldve paid for and for him to call and attempt to make me feel evn worse about my puppy was completely unprofessional. Vets are supposed to love animals and have theyre best interest at heart no matter what, its not supposed to be about your payday all the time. This guy is not a genuine Vet and Ill never bring another pet there again. (I came up with the money for the tests the sameday he called me but it was too late already)

After being recommended to me, I took one of of my dogs in to have her ankle looked at. After manipulating the joint to the point where my dog wouldnt walk on it the vet said they would draw fluid from the area to see if it was infection or fluid build up. I felt the vet was very self serving and was more worried about finding an orthopedic issue than diagnosing the real cause, which was she had surgury on the same leg a week before and there was still inflammation from the wound. I refused to have fluid taken out and thanked the vet for his time. At that point the vet asked me if I was just going to let my dog be in pain all weekend, like Im some sort of horrible caregiver. My jaw almost hit the floor. He didnt offer any pain meds for her, which would have shown me he cared about he dog and instead left the room after I told him I would take her elsewhere. I took my American bulldog to her normal vet Dr. Joe Priess in Wakeman where what I though was going on, was confirmed. The vet I saw in Ontario is an orthopedic surgeon and was obviously looking for a reason to do surgury$$$. Im happy to say my bulldog is fine no thanks to this guy. Be careful if you use these people, theyre very good at playing on your emotions then charge you a boatload of money they know you will pay for your animal. I would recommend looking elsewhere for animal care. Preferably somewhere that puts the animals wellbeing first and not their pocket book.

I have been taking my pets to OVH for years. I have always found straightforward advice and great care for my animals. They never failed to recognize the importance of my pets to me but never used that to manipulate my emotions. When I had a dying cat and later a senior dog, they were quick to respect and support the sacred trust I had with my animals...to weight "quality of life" against longevity. Solid medical care is a given at OVH (and you always have choices in how far to go in lab work, etc.), but what I appreciate is that I am a part of the equation just like my dog. For example, I recently adopted a new puppy from a shelter, he had a raging kennel cough which it turned out had morphed into serious, life threatening pneumonia. He had to stay at the vet three days on IV antibiotics and fluids. OK, now my point, I was encouraged to visit and during my visits I was always welcome, invited into the treatment areas to spend as much time as I wanted in the cage with my new puppy. I was never made to feel like I was in the way or a burden. When vets and staff care and respect the owner and well as the pet, thats good medicine. Oh, and how great is it to be able to see a vet on Saturday and Sunday?

This office had to put our dog to rest ,because she had her pupils destroyed and lost her eyesight immediately upon this finding. She absolutely could do nothing but bump into everything worst of all looked very scared,it was so suddenly, that we almost couldnt decide what was best. The doctor was so so professional about this ,that we were able to get her anguish from the dog and my mother took care of immediately.I was so impressed with his skill and talent on this situation, his empathy, his patience ,even though he was very busy.I have never seen this kind of dedication to this proffession.I am truly amazed at how easy he made this for my mother to let go of her child, practically.Dont go anywhere else. This is all youll ever need.

Dr. Adam Wright treated our dog Stark with incredible compassion, he was incredibly thorough with his diagnosis of Starks leg problem. Dr. Wright took the time to make sure we understood what the problem was, as well as treatment options. He was willing to look at x-rays from a previous vet we had seen and he took the time to explain them to us. Best service I have ever received at a veterinary clinic and I have been an animal lover for over 20 years and visited several. He is down to earth, easy to talk to, affordable and he clearly cares about the best well being of your pet. In addition, he called us personally to follow-up on Starks well being one week later. I highly recommend him, and we will be back.

Dr. Adam Wright is the best ! My poor kitty, Boswell, was so ill. I first took him to an emergency animal care facility and we waited for over an hour and they werent busy. they never did see us. I think they forgot. I called Dr Wrights office and although they were very busy they said to take him in. I told him I had limited funds to spend. But they took x-rays, treated him, kept him there for 3 nights and Gave me 3 different prescriptions for him. And, I know they could have given me a bill for $1000 more than I was charged. Or they could have Not treated him. But, they said "dont worry about it" Everyone there is an Angel, Thank You All. Boswell is doing Great!
