Ive never been so disgusted with humanity in my life....and Ive worked for a call center. While I do understand that the company is no longer taking new clients, I think emergencies should be an exception. It is unbelievable that when I came in with a puppy in a comatose state I was turned away.Not to mention that the gal at the counter was just cold and uncaring. I got more help there from a client than the staff. Point being: If there is a there is an ACTIVELY DYING in your clinic, . you help that dog. Its that easy. You dont send them away. I dont care that you arent accepting new clients, EMERGENCY CARE trumps all. You need to reevaluate. And get a new receptionist should NEVER get turned down in an emergency. Even people hospitals will accept someone that sick.The one staff person i spoke to was heartless and unkind to me....while I had a dying dog. ..Let me reiterate one more time. the puppy was DYING and you refused to even look at him. I hope that you learn compassion someday.

Since writing this, the vets staff seems to have turned over and is way more attentive and generally "on it." It seems theyre not taking more patients because the practice is full and, respectfully to those who arent with him, Im grateful for Dr Katsura. THANK YOU! ********* While the vet is attentive and seems knowledgeable, he seems isolated from his office staff. You walk out of the examination room and he doesnt tell the staff what you need to do. They dont seem to know either . You stand in front of them, they ignore you, and then you have to guess what youre to do next. In my case, I had to remind them that I had to pay for the visit. So distracted by having to wait and my mewing cat, I left without a required follow-up appointment. They dont send vaccination reminders or make follow-up calls. With some customer service training, this place would get 5 stars.

Dr. Katsura has been the vet for the pets of several of our family members, and we trust him very much. You can tell he really cares about animals and he is very knowledgeable and cautious in his care. He takes the time to give our pug the very best care - never rushes. Also, when we first got our pug, we brought him in a couple times when we probably didnt need to (we were new to having a dog in our family), and Dr. Katsura was patient, thorough, and never made us feel like we were silly or over reacting. I always recommend this place to people.

The staff there is very down-to-earth and compassionate. Dr. Katsura is wonderful--willing to answer your questions, and makes you feel that your pet matters to him as much as your pet matters to you. Just love him, and trust him with my critters completely. It will be a sad, sad day when he retires.

My newly rescued, worm-infested cat was curtly & unapologetically turned away because they are "not accepting new patients." If they are in fact unable to accommodate ANY new fur families, minimally they should post it on their sign AS WELL AS be very KIND before showing a sick animal the exit sign.

Ive been taking my pets to Landpark for many years. Ive found Dr. Katsura and his staff to be fantastic and very supportive. Even today, I live in San Francisco and still take my dogs there when Im visiting family. I greatly appreciate them not pushing unnecessary services. Highly recommended.
