Charlie says hes a physical therapist, but Im pretty sure thats just a disguise so that he can move freely in society. Hes actually a wizard. I was hit by a car while biking to work in October 2014. When I went to my doctor about my injury, I was told to wait it out, since "it might get better on its own." Well, it didnt, so after two months of pain and reduced activity, I asked my friends for physical therapy recommendations. One of my friends, herself a physical therapist, recommended Charlie. She said he saved her from another hip surgery. She raved about him. And she was right. 1) Charlie is incredibly kind, humble, and approachable, and he bends over backwards to make sure you are aware of and comfortable with whats going on. In the simplest terms, he is a good person. 2) Charlie is amazing at what he does. Theres a reason hes the physical therapists physical therapist. In our very first appointment, he was able to quickly assess what was going on with my body, and do a few quick adjustments/magic tricks that immediately brought me pain relief, increased flexibility, and increased strength. Thats obviously a case-by-case thing, but after months of being demoralized by my injuries and dismissed by my doctor, it felt like a miracle that Charlie listened to me, listened to my body, and got to the bottom of things on our first session. I wasnt completely fixed after one session, but a few weeks with Charlie got me to a point where I felt comfortable following through with my plans to fulfill my dream of cycling up to the summit of Haleakala. Ive been seeing him for a while now as we work to get my body back to pre-collision levels (and expand to treat some preexisting issues), and I look forward to every session, both because of the quality of the treatment, and also because I just enjoy Charlies company.

Charles is fantastic hes kind, patient and friendly! He truly listens to what you are saying and how you are feeling. His love for what he does and it shows through his work that he truly enjoys helping people get back their lives. Ive been dealing with chronic neck pain and migraines for 6 plus years after an accident, going from one physical therapist after another. If youve every experienced going from one to another before you know that it can be extremely pain full if your not in the right hands. I was starting to lose all hope that I would never be pain free. I feel fortunate enough that a friend had recommended Charles to me! From my first visit with Charles he was able to pin point the problem and what was causing my pain. I felt immediately comfortable with him as he walked me through the process step by step. He was the first person in six years to show me on a skeleton model and educate me on what was going on in side my body. I noticed a difference after my first session and have honestly had less frequent pain. I am even sleeping better at night, which is a huge improvment. We are now working together to fix the years of damage and I couldnt be happier! I highly recommend Charles!! You should set up an appointment and see for yourself, you cant go wrong in his care!

Charlie is undoubtedly among the best physical therapists around! He is extremely talented at his job. Ive been seeing him for some shoulder pain and tingling, which is virtually all resolved at this point. And Ive also seen him for my hips. I have bilateral hip dysplasia and had a PAO on my right hip 2 years ago. I had a fairly bad recovery from my surgery and Charlie has helped me come so far! He has a high focus on functionality which has helped me meet my own personal physical goals. I feel he has done a great job and getting to the underlying issues in my posture and movement patterns instead of just treating superficial aches and pains. He has helped my gain so much body awareness so that I am able to maintain the progress weve made! After working with him for the past 3 months, I know he has helped me immensely in feeling stronger and more in tune with my own body. Working with him has also in part allowed me to not get surgery on my left hip, which I was initially planning on doing. I am so grateful to him and I strongly recommend him to all -- especially as a first line of treatment before jumping into surgery or other more aggressive treatment options. As others have said, Charlie is a magician!

Feeling relieved and grateful to have found Charlie. Ive been struggling with back and hip pain for a while, and what is a mystery to everyone else is a set of simple body mechanics for him. His mix of manual therapy and exercises that Ill do on my home has me feeling more cared for and hopeful than I have in a long time. What sold me on Charlie (other than the recommendation for a PT in NYC) was reading a review that said something like meeting Charlie felt like being with a family member. I couldnt agree more. Hes present, crystal clear, kind, and talented. That actually sounds better than a family member! Sounds like the person I want to trust with my back! Thanks, Charlie!

Charlie has helped me and my family for many orthopedic injuries, ranging from traumatic injury to chronic pain. He is kind and caring, and his treatment approach is very hands-on and effective as he tracks down different restrictions or movement patterns that might be causing pain. Also, being a PT myself, I travel the distance to see him for my physical therapy needs. His office is a quick walk from the ferry building, there is a parking lot right next door, and the office staff is very kind and helpful.
