Dr. Schwanke takes care of both my 4 1/2yo daughter and my 1 1/2yo son. He is awesome, and here is why. He always works with us on whatever treatment we may be talking about, at the same time he gives his unadulterated opinion and suggestions. Prime example my wife and I had a very specific vaccine schedule we wanted to follow for the first 2 years of our kids lives. It is a bit different from what is suggested, but nothing extreme. Dr. Schwanke listened to us, gave us his opinion, gave us plenty of resources to use/read, and then worked with us to come up with a plan that we where very happy with. He spends quality time talking to us and our kids each time we visit, and that makes the visits so much more enjoyable for the kids, specially as they get a little older. When my daughter developed Idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura (ITP) at year 1, Dr. Schwanke ordered all the prudent tests, and immediately for us a consult with a great Hematologist. The entire practice at Noe Valley Pediatrics is great.

Noe Valley Pediatrics~ I cant say enough about Doc. Schwanke, he doesnt push meds. & tries to find alternative solutions. He takes time & listens to us & works with my teens needs. I never feel rushed...I find Doc. Schwanke, the other doctors & staff very thoughtful, helpful and caring. We have a long history, we even make the trip all the way from Half Moon Bay. Doc. Schwanke has been my sons primary Doc. (he is now 16), this is his 3rd child out of our family, siblings 26 & 28.

Dr. Schwanke has been our pediatrician since our first child was born almost 18 years ago. He is thorough, compassionate, and caring. He works well with my teens and is respectful of them. I always feel that my children are well cared for.
