Horrible, horrible experience of my LIFE!!! Ever since the dentist changed to Nozomi Yamate this place has gone from 5 star to zero! This dentist does the worst job you will ever have done on your teeth! She is not careful. I had to go in twice to try and get them to fix their mistake, the whole time they said things like youre just sensitive etc... Excuses that said it was all me and my fault. I gave her the benefit of the doubt and called to make an appointment for a simple filling that is hurting me, so now she denied me for personal reasons (after they had set the appointment already)- by calling me back and making a ton of excuses to not see me that made no sense or applied to me.. She did this because I had complained about having discomfort from her previous work. So beware youre not allowed to complain! She is a cold hearted person. Im actually glad she made excuses to not help me, she didnt deserve me giving her a second chance, and I should know better from my past experience anyhow. She doesnt value her clients or think of them as human beings. I highly recommend not going here. I want to add, the front desk staff are kind and do their best, but they also do cover for her even when shes doing unfair things. I understand they dont have a choice, Its the dentist who is terrible and that is who matters when it comes to dental work.

I took my daughter to Dr. Yamate after my daughter voiced concerns about dark stains on her molars and wondered if they were cavities. Dr. Yamate diagnosed her to have 7 cavities and said shed need to come in for at least 2 visits to fill in all the cavities, which would require her to get shots. I went to another dentist to get a second opinion. I called to get my daughters x-rays sent over to the other dentist. Value Dental didnt call me back, so I went into their office. I filled out a release form at their office and asked that they send the x-rays to the other dentist. They never did, and when the other dentist called, Value Dental didnt return the call. My daughter had to have new x-rays taken, and they showed no cavities, which I assume is why Value Dental never sent the x-rays over. Upon inspection of my daughters teeth by the new dentist, turns out there are only two teeth that need to be addressed further, and no need for shots. All other teeth just had superficial stains that will just need monitoring. I am so glad I got a 2nd opinion. I will not go back to Value Dental.

The worst dentist appointment ever went in for root canal was in the chair 3.5 hours. Dr Jason who Dr Yamate hired let the numbing meds ware off the worst pain of my life. If the dentist had been working on my root canal instead trying to talk me into pulling the tooth maybe he would of finished it. After the meds ware off he didnt want to finish. Jason even give me more numbing meds just not to finish the work. The next day my mouth swelled and the whole side of my jaw was bruised. I called left message for Yamate she couldnt even call me back. I went to dentist last week Jason didnt even finished the work. I thought the build up was the only thing left. They billed my insurance when the work wasnt even finished the insurance not very happy. I hope they request the money back he shouldnt be paid for the horrible work he did now I am probably going to lose the tooth. Horrible isnt the word. Plus Yamate puts her dirty work off on the front office gal. When Yamate is a real piece of work. Unprofessional

Worst dental in Vancouver!!! AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE. What a mistake! All employees lied to me all along the way! Found out my insurance didnt cover AFTER the procedure. Rushed through the whole procedure. Had some chipped teeth their filling outcome was a F-. A three year old could of done better. They drilled over other teeth and my tooth chipped on the next day, and then I came in to have it fixed and got a big rude "no, sorry we didnt do that and we have no guarantees." Made me feel like I was crazy or something. Offed me no help at all! All they want is money here. You wont find quality care here! Dont make the same mistake! I will never come here again and am telling all my friends and family to avoid this place. I hope they burn down before they ruin someone elses teeth. AVOID! AVOID! AVOID! BTW Also if your family or friends send you to this place its all because they offer 20 dollars off if you recommend this place. Dont follow this scam.

This place is wonderful! All of the staff is really nice and kind to patients and their families. My whole family and I go here to get our teeth cleaned and we always receive fantastic service. Dr. Yamate is a great and gentle dentist, she took the time to calm my nerves about any procedures and walked me through them when necessary. I would recommend this clinic to all of my friends and family members. They were really accommodating to my schedule as I attend university three hours from here and rarely have time to come back in town for routine cleanings. Would definitely come here again! THANK YOU VALUE DENTAL STAFF!

I absolutely love this Dentist and the staff here. They are amazing. They are helpful and knowledgeable about what they do. They are amazing with my children and my children love it here. They have been able to get me in the same day on several occasions for emergencies. I highly recommend them to anyone of all ages . Everyone who works here is very professional and they answer all your questions and concerns honestly. If you are looking for a dentist, you will not be disappointed by any means..

Messed with my teeth during a usual check up and caused me more pain than ever. Better yet they are making me wait 2 weeks to even get in for a root canal. When asked for emergency visit and to be referred to different place the lady told me the doctor is out of town and its not possible. I call bs and think they are screwing people over. Do not go here will be calling business bureau after im done with them.

Like coming here. Office is clean, staff is friendly, and Im in and out quickly. Come here for cleaning and also had few cavities filled. No complaints. Usully i dread annual xrays since my mouth is so small and I get cuts from xray films. This is the only dental office I have visited that I have not gotten cuts from xray films. They know what theyre doing and quick. Cleaning feels polished and fresh.

I love this place. Staff are always nice, and feel well taken care of here. I have been going here for quite a while, and feel very comfortable. I have always been able to get a quick appointment, and they do not seem to just rush you out. Usually the Dentist is someone you do not want to see.. I look forward to seeing them.. almost like family. I can go to any Dentist I want, and still go here.
