Having made the regrettable mistake of missing my appointment with my regular dermatologist and consequently being rescheduled three weeks out for something I was already two months overdue for getting checked, the hypochondriac in me kicked into full gear and started hunting around for other dermatologists in the area that could see me sooner (and, you know, make sure I wasnt going to die a slow painful death). Some fifteen dermatologist calls later, I finally call up Dr Glogaus clinic, which, surprisingly, was the only one who was NOT booked out for the next three to five weeks. This may be, in part, due to the fact that they arent contracted with any of the Blues (Shield or Cross), making any visits to his clinic an out-of-network one, unless youre with the likes of Aetna, Cigna, UHC, or a few other insurers. But, price be (somewhat) damned, I wanted my peace of mind at that point, and he was able to see me day of, so in I went. After waiting about 15 minutes in the waiting room, two of the nurses showed me in and did a quick new patient intake study. This part, admittedly, had me raise some eyebrows, because it gave me the slight vibe that they were more accustomed to handling cosmetic cases than medical ones, but this may have been because the primary nurse handling intake was actually in training under the accompanying nurse. Dr Glogau came in some ten minutes later, and he, on the other hand, was as friendly and professional as you would hope any of your doctors to be. He spent time the time to look over my various concerns, answered all my questions patiently, and asked to check out a few other areas just to have things on record, concluding the same things as my primary dermatologist, so having two coinciding diagnoses certainly gave extra peace of mind. Would I come again? I hope not, because it means Ive erred and missed another appointment with my primary. But, if that unfortunate situation were to happen again and I simply cant wait to be seen, absolutely, yes.

Yes, Dr. Glogau removed what needed removing but he treated me like a body without a head or brain. He put a tiny band-aid on a fairly large wound, was in such a rush that he neglected to put any pressure on it. I left and within 5 minutes my shirt was soaked through with blood. I was on my way to pick up my preschooler; thank goodness I had time to go home first where I had to hold a compress on the wound for a half an hour before it stopped bleeding. Absolutely unacceptable.

I was in horrid pain from what turned out to be cold sore herpes breakout on my lower lip from an all day in the sun on a boat 6 days previously. My lip was so swollen. The office said: do you need the appointment soon. YES. I saw Dr. Golgau that afternoon. Such a caring man. He cringed when he saw it, and I swear he felt the pain too. He sent me off with meds and ways to reduce to discomfort. I would highly recommend this caring practice.

My husband, a WWII veteran, was in agony with excema all over. The VA could not help him. A friend recommended Dr. Glogau and we call him our miracle worker. He addressed other issues we hadnt even thought to ask about, so were doubly blessed. Thanks, Dr. G!
