Id like to precursor this review by first stating that I have never ever written a bad review in my life for anything, so I am only writing this to try and prevent others from having the same experience I did. I was referred to Knott Street Dermatology by my doctor for a skin rash that I contracted about six months ago. During my appointment there, which lasted for about 10 minutes, they told me that I was having a simple allergic reaction and to take some benadryl to stop the inflammation, and that my rash was "definitely not" anything to worry about. After a couple of weeks, the rash was still prevalent, so I called and asked what to do. They then told me that my home was probably infested with fleas and that I needed to get the house exterminated. When I explained that I didnt even own any pets, they said that until I had the house exterminated, I should not call back. Fast forward to today, when I saw another dermatologist, who took a scraping sample and showed me pictures of exactly what skin condition I had contracted for the past six months, and I was prescribed medication today that will clear it up in one week. What should have lasted for one week lasted six months for me...six months of unbearable pain. I will never recommend anybody to Knott Street Dermatology. They barely took any time to talk to me about my condition, nor did they take standard procedures for diagnosing a medical issue. I blame myself for trusting them, but I blame them for having the most unprofessional and unqualified medical staff I have ever seen. If there was every anything less than one star, this would be the time I would use it.

Medically, they were good. Dr. Hanson saw me on time, identified my issue, surgically removed it very quickly. The problem is that they billed my insurance company for the performance of a biopsy on the removed tissue and they duplicated that effort by sending my tissue to an outside lab as well. I never received an explanation for this, but I received two separate invoices for that procedure. I dont appreciate practices of double billing. When I questioned why I was receiving a bill from an outside laboratory, I was informed that Knott Street Dermatology does not use external laboratories and that they performed the biopsy in house. However, further investigation by the billing department confirmed that they did send my tissue sample to an outside lab. I have still not received an explanation as to why this was done and I consider this to be unethical.

Initial visit was great, young female dermatologist scheduled me for two Mohs surgeries on two cancer sites, which involved a month wait. Two working days before the first surgery, I got a call canceling them because "the doctor doesnt think Mohs is necessary. We only do them on the face." Since I didnt schedule the Mohs in the first place, this seemed strange and unprofessional to me. I would not go back. I was anxious to get the treatment completed and did not like being put off that way.

The kindness and professionalism that you receive at Knott Street Dermatology is above and beyond any doctors office I have been in in quite a long time. My doctor spoke to me like am intelligent person. The doctors are knowledgeable and the staff explains everything so well I was very impressed and very much recommend knott street dermatology to anyone & everyone. They are so nice, they are so good, they are so professional!!

Im not a fan of this clinic. I was told they would remove a cancer about the size of a lentil. They removed it all right and left and large dent in my head and the hair did not grow back like they said....I dont trust these pl. at all. My skin was itching. Their diagnosis for the reason was all wrong..... I wouldnt go back if I had a choice.

Ive been going to Dr. Craig for years now. Hes always polite and thorough. Staff is great, no issues. The only issue really is that they are busy. But youll find that most dermatologists are busy, its common for them to schedule a month out at the earliest. Off-street parking too, very convenient.
