Had trigger finger surgery (6/26/17) on left middle finger. Im extremely disappointed with the results. I already shared my feelings with the doctor. Dr. Jacobs was my original doctor who diagnosed the problem. Dr. Waters did the actual surgery. They all state surgeries are done based on their schedules. Just so happened my doctor was not available at the first earliest date. Anyway, I definitely had the clicking when finger was closed (making a fist) then extending back out. Immediately after the surgery, I had specifically asked the Dr. Waters why my finger was not straight. Then she took the finger and massaged to make it straight. I wouldnt know b/c I couldnt feel anything. So if there was pain while she was straightening it out I would never know. It has been six weeks now and the finger continues to bend and I am not able to straighten it out on my own strength. I have to slowly massage until it is able to be straightened. Then and only then I am able to extend and retract it on my own strength. But 15 minutes can go by and it will return to its bent position. Looks to me the surgery wasnt done correctly or the physician didnt know what she was doing. This was supposed to be a simple procedure. That is what Dr. Jacobs and Dr. Waters said. I complained to the latter the negatives were never shared with the patient. Yes, this was gonna be a 10 minute procedure and out the door I go. Life would be wonderful. Well....its not that simple and thats not the way it turned out. There is recovery time. There is some pain after the procedure. Neither emphasized nor mentioned this at all. I guess all they care about is the money for the surgery. I am still deciding if I should take any action because of what has happened. These doctors dont even talk to each other if there are any special circumstances with the patient. She didnt even know which doctor I originally consulted with. She kept mentioning another physician I never heard of. I had to remind her it was Dr. Jacobs. I guess they look at every case as being the same. If anyone would like to speak to me about my experience, you are free to contact me.

I was here a couple months ago for a friend visiting in the hospital for almost everyday. Every single time I come in this place is always chaotic and sooo messy/unorganized. Great staff by the way! But whoever runs the hospital is not doing his/her job right. Their assistant managers and/or relief RNs are NOT WELL UTILIZED unlike other Kaiser. First thing first, patient safety is not on their top priority (NOT inpatient RNs). Why??? Lack of staff....not enough nurses and theyre admitting back to back, not enough nursing assistants to help around and not enough clerks to assist visitors or answer calls/call lights because they are also running around the department to look for the staff or moving bed out or into the room. Getting admission or giving admits from their house supervisor, I think thats what they call him/her....admissions not well distributed! Oh well! I have more things to say......?????

I went to Kaiser with with a cough, (over a 3 month period) they said it was a cold - then they said it was the flu, after that they said it was bronchitis, later they told me I had pneumonia. Finally my heart valve ruptured, because it turned out I had an UN-DIAGNOSED bacterial blood infection. Luckily I was transported, at midnight, for emergency surgery at OConnor - they saved my life. My parting remembrance of the Kaisers technical expertise, was of a nurse, taking pictures of me with a Polaroid. When I asked the paramedics, why they were doing that, he said " I am not going to lie to you - you are in such bad shape, they want proof you were alive - when you left" If you want your picture taken - go to Kaiser - If you want competent medical treatment - go somewhere else.

From having their phone operators throw me from their Gilroy Office only to be told that i need to call the San Jose number, to waitng 2 hours after fasting 13 hours for a ultra sound that i scheduled an appointment for in advance to be told after waiting that i didnt need to fast and i could have gone to get something to eat while i waited. Doctors are good, staff is terrible. Went throught the proper routes of filing a complaint and was told that it was not an issue worth resolving. For the amount of money you end up paying after treatment, Kaiser does not serve its patients with the amount of care they payed for. Find another hospital to go to if you can, only go here if you need immediate medical help.

We have kaiser threw my husbands insurance. At first i thought they were really great but after i had minor surgery threw them i see that in fact they are HORRIBLE. You are like not allowed access to your doctors you have to go threw there call center which is filled with people that are not medically trained. THERE IS NO DOCTOR ON CALL, im sitting on hold for 45 minutes now waiting for an advice nurse becasue i started bleeding again which before ended in the paramedics coming ot the house so this is important i need advice but there is no doctor on call not even for surgery or pregnancy. It is really the biggest problem i see so far. So f you can avoid them i definitely would.

I have been with kaiser for almost 40 years. I have not had any bad experiences. I recently went to ER with kidney stone. Doctors and nurses are all awesome. What I saw in the ER was a doctor that came out to talk with people. Nurses smiling even the receptionist was helpful. They were busy and it took time but it was a calm experience.
