In April 2006, I was having stomach pains and it became more and more persistent every week. I was sent here by ambulance to the ER. They put me in a room and took blood samples and everything. The female Dr. who was taking care of me came in the room and asked if I could be possibly pregnant, since I was having stomach pains. I said No. Mind you, I was only 17 at that time. She asked about my history like it was an open book, other people were in the room, which is supposed to be private. Blood tests came back and were negative, nothing out of the ordinary. I waited like what felt like forever and this 40-50 year old brunette haired lady came into my room. She didnt take care of me as a nurse and wasnt a Dr. either. I dont know who that lady is, even til today. I guess I will never find out. But what that lady said was the rudest thing Ive ever heard a person tell me, as a patient. She came into the room and said straight out to me (nobody else was in the room at the time) that what I was having was only stomach cramps from my period and why did I waste so much money having the ambulance bring me there and all the hassle it was (for only a period). She spoke with such a rude and disconcerting tone. And then as quickly as she came in, she left without a trace. I just said "Okay." I was an innocent 17 year old just wanting to know what was going on with my body, I wasnt on my period, I was in pain, and I didnt understand. This is why I gave this hospital 1 star. I told my mom and she was furious, demanding to know who it was and told all the staff about it. It seemed like they didnt care much either. After tests were done, we couldnt find anything until the Dr. did an x-ray. After the results came back, the Dr. told me I had a cyst in my ovary, a cyst the size of a small grapefruit. This was the only thing Im grateful for, that Dr. that wanted to find out what was wrong, who didnt jump to conclusions from the beginning(although she was steadfast that I could be pregnant) and didnt try to push me out of that ER. I hope I dont ever have to step into that hospital again and I hope nobody else was treated as poorly as I was by that stranger of a staff who assumed when it wasnt her right.

So far used to be one of my preferred hospitals locally but just recently its been the worst ive been admitted 6 times now for low sodium and endocronologist and physicians here seem new. Bad communication between doctors and nurses. It took them 20 hours for me to be given meds that were supposed to be every 8 hours which were diagnosed by a endocronologist at uc davis childrens med center 22 years ago which was an elder angel to my eyes since i was at edge of death point. Theyve taken away my meds to the point where im half dying on them and dont seem to care till i get to the point where im walking out on them. No room service these past 2 days nor has the patient greeter been in anymore. I agree with everyone else their service is garbage very few nurses are down to earth but their knowledge and attention to patients is very poor.

JUST had a baby at this hospital and I must say it had to have been the worst experience ever!!!!! the odacity of some nurses are so unprofessional and rude ! Had a nurse come to my room call me by a different name while I was in labor to tell me I had a urine sample test positive for drugs I demanded a re test and was refused and ignored had my doctor request next day testing and was NEGATIVE MYSELF AND BABY ! ... when asked for documentation of lab work I was discharged as non compliant and a user not only that 2 days in labor asked for a shower no HOT WATER " .. then placed in a room with a bathroom leek . This hospital is a joke and do not recommend anyone to go here ! ......

What is wrong with this hospital -- or am just naïve enough to believe that most hospitals get so many very poor reviews? I have never stayed there (thank God, apparently), but have visited many family members and each time I always felt an unease like no one really gives a c_ _ _ p. Whats the point in reviews, if the doctors and other staff members obviously do not read them. Why do I come to that reasonable conclusion -- because the bad reviews keep on commin! Reading the reviews made my blood boil. I just hope none of the staff ever needs good medicine and courteous staff -- because then they will know!!!!

My Husband was recently inpatient in the 4th Floor and he received great care by all the Nurses, CNAs, and Aides. I have been in the Bay Area hospitals recently (San Mateo Cty) and Lodi Memorial far surpassed their quality of attention given to the patients. All of them were pleasant, courteous, caring and gentle. This really helped and provided relief to me that he was in good hands when I couldnt be there! Special thanks to Thoung, Juanita, Lina, Mary, Sara....all on the 4th Floor-you were awesome!!

I was impressed by the smiles, courtesy, and respect that I was shown . It was the first time that the anaesthesiologist, Dr. Pena took the time to explain step by step as to what would be happening. Knowing what would happened lessened any anxiety that I could have been feeling. Dr Penas kind eyes was a first. The nursing staff was phenomenal too.
