I have two experiences to note here: 1. I saw a stray dog in our apartment parking lot, I tried to coax it to come to me. I remembered not seeing a collar on the poor thing and it decided to run and hide by the dumpsters which I cannot reach anymore. I went to the clinic next door to report it and the lady there just said... oh we see that dog every day there, we tried to get it out but it just stays there hiding. we think its owned by someone next door. Me being a dog lover, I felt bad leaving the dog there in the hot weather with nothing. I called animal control to have them deal with it. If you have been trying to get that dog for a while, why did you not report it? arent you bound by law to report animal neglect and abuse? 2. I bought my dog in for injection and had my dog assessed for fleas. the vet did not see anything except for a slight infection. she gave prescription for Benadryl. Went to a pet supply store the next day thinking that I should get something to soothe my dogs scratching. I called the clinic to ask on which one would be preferable, and the lady on the other line pretty much yelled at me asking if the doctor said anything about a shampoo, and admitting that she typed the instructions on the Benadryl wrong after I told her that I gave one dose and it only helped for a few hours. If she was having a bad day then she should learn how to control herself in front or on the phone with the customers. We call because we are concerned, this is not our expertise and wanted to clarify so we can help our dog better. You just lost a customer in our family and our dog.

After reading some of these reviews Im baffled as to how anyone could have a poor experience here. Ive been taking my dog Lucky to this clinic for close to a decade, and every visit we are treated with courtesy & respect. The folks working there clearly care about the animals they treat and they take great time & care to explain every situation to us. Its unfortunate that someone "victimized" by boarded dogs barking (gasp!) or complaining about a stray dog (which really should have no bearing on a review of a vet clinic) are able to tank the overall review score. Sadly, I will be taking my dog here today, as hes dealing with some back issues. Knowing the quality of care hell receive at San Leandro Vet Clinic helps to ease my own trepidation with the circumstances of this visit.

Ive never brought my dog to this place, and i never will, but I am lucky enough (sense the sarcasm?) to live in the apartment complex next door. EVERYDAY for the past week, including yesterday when we got almost 3 inches of rain, this poor dog has been in their outside area just barking and howling nonstop for 8 hours straight. I called and asked if there was something they could do, since obviously this dog wants or needs something that is causing its excessive howling, the girl was extremely rude and told me the animals have to be kept outside. I have called the police once already and will continue to do so until the neglect of this animal is stopped DONT TAKE YOUR ANIMALS HERE! THEY WILL BE NEGLECTED!!!

Ive been coming to San Leandro Veterinary Clinic for over 10 years. I can honestly say that the vets and staff have been nothing but helpful and amazing. I love how a holistic approach is given if a situation is minor. I do tend to overreact and sometimes bring my pets in for something Im not sure about. I also bring in stray animals and the vets and vet tech are caring and treat the animals with gentle attention. Thank you San Leandro Veterinary Clinic ♡

The staff are extremely friendly, helpful, and informative. Their prices are below the other vets nearby, and if we inquire about something our pets do not need, they tell us not to spend the extra money on something unnecessary! Our pets are attended to with great care and focus as well! I am extremely happy with this clinic and highly recommend it!

I have no idea what the naysayers are complaining about. Ive been taking two generations of cats to San Leandro Vet Clinic. Nothing but the best care and concern for my pets well-being, and excellent medical care.

Lady at the front desk very rude and unwelcoming didnt give me a chance to state why I was calling and continued to speak over me with no concern for my dogs emergency she should be replaced
