My 12 y.o. kitty one night at midnight suddenly started yowling in pain with no external cause. Even when we went to sleep she curled up near my head and yowled softly. The next day I called Good Samaritan Vet Hospital and asked if they could see us that day. Gratefully they could, and Dr.Leeking gently reviewed my kittys symptoms. Long story short, it was determined my long-haired kitty might have stuck hairballs inside and needed medication to help move them along. Dr. Leeking explained other options if the maple-scented prescription did not work and suggested I watch for urine output as well. The treatment did a fine job by the next day, though I continued to dose for a few more days as directed. I also added a good Hairball food to kittys diet. She was quickly back to her happy,sweet, purring self. Thank you, Good Samaritan Vet, for being so kind and effective with my kittys troubles.

4 Stars: Friendly and deeply caring staff. (written in 2015) Upping to Five Stars: 1/11/16 - I have been going to Good Sam for 2 years now. I have four dogs and they all seem to find their way into the vets office one way or another. I love their approach. The front office staff are SO on top of it. I dont know how they do it but they keep all things in order from the various people coming in to phone calls and keep them all prioritized. I have had them squeeze me in on more serious issues and always follow up to make sure my doggies are ok. Another good sign? I run into half of my dog friends here because they also go to Good Sam. I love Hope, Debbie, Sue, Dr. Doe, Dr. Ekloff..the whole gang. THANKS FOR all that you and your team does for my pups.

after rescuing my 125lbs Mastiff mix Tuck I found out he had some hidden serious health problems. skin lesions low energy etc... I had went to other Vets that could not figure out what was causing his illness I was at my wits end. One morning Tuck was in bad shape I phoned GSVH and was told to bring him in immediately. They were so nice and patient with Tuck and the Doctors went into Beast mode trying to find out what was his problem after a series of test it was determined that my big boy was suffering with Thyroid problems I would not trust any other Veterinary with my big guy The doctors and staff are the best. did I mention my Big Guy loves the staff and even gives kisses to the doctors and staff. The prices are very reasonable

Best Vet experience ever!!!! Dr. Doe was our long time vet for many happy years, but since then we have moved and i have yet to find a vets office like this one. Dr Doe and the staff show sincere care for your pets. I always trusted to get the best advice, and my doggies were always happy to see them. Yes, they would come to a full hault at the front door, but tails were always wagging at first sight of Dr Doe! Good Samaritan Veterinary Hospital has been taking care of my kitties since 1992. Baring one episode with a new doctor, I can truthfully say that the care has been excellent. The staff have demonstrated genuine concern for my cats. Special recognition should go to Hope, who always visits my Bella when she is boarded. Ive always had good experience here. When I moved into the East Bay, I had to find a new vet for my Pitt. One of my neighbors told me about San Leandro Good Sam and I checked them out online. When I called, I was able to make an appointment for the next day first thing in the morning. They took great care of Sweet Jane and gave me suggestions for her diet. After two years, this is the only place I go.

I have been bringing my dog Wally to Good Sam for over 12 years; they are always accommodating and helpful. I visited last weekend to have Dr. Keeling check on what appears to be some issues with aging with Wally. She was sympathetic and understanding but also realistic with her diagnosis. Good Sam will care for Wally as long as he is around and will care for future Wallys as well.

The office is clean and quiet with plenty of space so that multiple animals and people arent squished together. The front desk staff are always friendly, and we appreciate the follow-up calls after a visit. The vets are knowledgeable and great at what they do. Its nice to have a vet that doesnt push for expensive tests or treatments if its not absolutely necessary.

What great staff. I brought in my dogs for shot updates. The staff and vet were wonderful, no upselling, great prices, and very quick appointment. Less than an hour from the time I walked in the door until I left for checkups and shots for three dogs ( not rushing, just efficient and delightful) If nothing else my dogs liked them, and they have good judgment

These folks are great! My dog has been seen here for over 1 year. They were to quick to catch when she was having tooth problems and its been fixed since.
