My cat, whos territory is constantly being invaded by groups of hoodlum raccoons, came in one night and ran under the bed. He stayed there for three days and wouldnt eat the food I pushed under there. Towards the end of the third day, a skinny wet sad mess finally crawled out to the edge and whimpered at me. He couldnt stand or walk and looked an hour from death. Upon bringing to South Shores, Dr. W showed me the infected remains of a giant gash that piereced his chest. With a giant syringe, he pulled over a cup of puss from my dying cat. "Well do what we can," he said. Its now 5 years later and my fat, spoiled cat is healthier than ever.

Dr. prescribed Obivan, a human birth control, as a calming agent for my cats alopecia. Turns out she has allergies and not stress related alopecia. Obivan can cause breast cancer. My cat has 4 fluid filled sacs turning purple under her nipples. A second opinion let us know Oviban was old school. It should be a last resort if prescribed at all. We were not informed of the risks or side effects. Not thorough and we feel misinformed this clinic has lost our trust.

Ive brought my animals to South Shores for the past 13 years and have found all of the employees and both vets to be caring and considerate. I did leave for nearly a year to visit a vet closer to my home, but returned to South Shores because of the treatment and knowledge. I cant imagine what happened with the others, but it is certainly not typical behavior in this office. I gave 5 stars - but this practice deserves 10!

ADVANTAGE Flea Control -They charge $1 COMPUTER TRANSACTION FEE PER ITEM! $68.08 x 2 pkgs. = $136.16 + $1Fee + $1 Fee = $138.16 I questioned the Computer Fee & they said they always did this & if it was a prescription there was a $5 computer fee for EACH prescription. Told them this was a rip off & walked out. Went to All Pets on Western Ave in San Pedro.

These guys are just about as good as they get. They have taken care of my many pets since the first time I stepped into this facility and have been great the whole time. I highly recommend them. The doctors and the staff are the best. Thank you Dr. Weimer

I love this vet. I moved here about a year ago from the east coast with my two lab mixes and have always felt rest assured when I leave my dogs here or go in for a visit. The women at the front desk are always friendly!! Definitely recommend.

I brought my cat for a transfusion. The tests showed she had thyroid problems. The veterinarians did not tell me and my cat got very sick. I had to spend a lot of extra money. When I complained they refused to take responsibility.
