Going into Urban Optics after Dr. Neel has left, I was a little unsure of how my experience with the "new doctor" would turn out. The fear like most loyal clients probably would have... To be honest, I had no knowledge of Dr. Zucker prior and did not really know what to expect with the change of ownership. I was greeted as soon as I walked in (just like usual) and Katie and Amber were both super sweet and helpful. Dr. Zucker came and introduced himself; what impressed me was how patient he was explaining each and every question I had. He didnt seem annoyed at all but patiently and very willingly explained to me about my eyes condition and even shared some interesting eye knowledge that I never truly understood before. After my checkup, Amber and Katie helped me to choose my new frame and wanted to make sure I would make the best use out of my insurance. It took a little longer than I thought my entire visit would have been, but it was well worth it. What a good work break I took! I felt that everyone works there cares a lot about their customers and wants to make sure all of their clients are receiving the best service out of each visit - well, at least thats how I felt. Thumbs up, folks!!

With a multitude of eye care professionals to choose from in this city, Urban Optics is the BEST choice! The customer service by phone and in person is stellar! Dr. Zucker is extremely caring, attentive, thorough and makes me feel like his only client; he takes the time necessary to perform a complete examination; he asks pertinent questions; he educates me on my eye health, options, etc. and does so in a kind, respectful and genuinely caring manner. And his sense of humor is a bonus. I have to also mention the incredible customer service provided by Kyle; Kyle is patient, thorough, knowledgeable, caring, kind and also funny. The office is spotless and the setting in La Arcada is tranquil. I walk in and walk out of the office feeling cared about and like one of the family. Im grateful to Dr. Zucker and his team for providing quality, caring optometric services and I HIGHLY recommend them for all of your eye care needs. Theyve earned my trust and appreciation.

Awesome location in downtown Santa Barbara with close-by parking for cars or bikes. The webpage makes it easy to set-up an appointment and the staff are prompt in responding to an inquiries and figuring out your coverage before you go in for an appointment. Dr. David Zucker and his staff are friendly, efficient, and thoroughly address any procedures or questions. They were honest that my prescription hadnt changed since my last pair of glasses and did not pressure me to buy a pair. I had specific questions of specialized glasses for my workplace and he was more than willing to discuss options and research more into it. I will definitely be back for my annual eye exams, new pairs of glasses, or any other optic needs.

I highly recommend Urban Optics in Santa Barbara. Dr. Zucker is very professional and knowledgeable. He took time to answer all my questions and provided good insight and suggestion for different contact options within my price range. And unlike some other doctors he is also out going and a good conversationalist. The facilities are clean, and they have state of the art equipment. The young woman at the front desk are kind and very helpful. They also have a good selection of glasses frames and sunglasses. If you are new to Santa Barbara, have never been to the eye doctor or simply are looking for a new eye doctor you should do yourself a favor and check out Urban Optics.

Urban Optics is the place to go for amazing eye care and eye wear in Santa Barbara, CA. My fiancé and I are from Maine and she was having some discomfort in her right eye. We got to Urban Optics just as they were closing and Dr. Zucker was so kind and willing to stay late to take care of my fiancé. He was very knowledgeable and helpful - he is the reason the rest of our trip enjoyable for my fiancé. I ended up purchasing some very stylish Ray Bans that I have never seen before. Highly recommend Urban Optics and Dr. Zucker.

When I ordered my glasses they told me theyd call when they came in but they didnt. I called them and asked when did they come in and it was 2 days earlier. Then they hadnt measured the proper center of the lens so they had to be sent back and again its been way over the time they said it would take and no call. I just wouldnt recommend going here unless your expectations are low. They dont seem to care. They seem to want to do the least possible work: just take the order and move on.

My appointment with Urban Optics was hands down the best eye exam I have ever had. Ok so yes all I had was an eye but to be honest I have never had any eye doctor put in so much attention and detail to my exam as Dr. Zucker! He took his time and listened to what I was saying but still read between the lines on what I couldnt really explain. I will without a doubt be back to have all of my exams and glasses done with Urban Optics!

"I strongly recommend Urban Optics. Dr. Zucker is very much on top of latest research in lenses, etc. He and his staff are wonderful. Their primary concern is making sure that you are comfortable with your lenses. I have had a vision problem for years that other optometrists werent able to diagnose. Urban Optics is a great place to have your vision checked out! Dr. Neel is super nice and very knowledgeable. His equipment is also quite advanced. He talked me through everything that was happening and explained my particular vision problems. The optic shop is a great space as well...makes going to the doctor a lot more pleasant!
