I hated going to the dentist as a child. I had really long roots so all my baby teeth were pulled out by the dentist. This has really turned me off to any dental office as an adult. Enter Cerulean Dental Spa and Dr. Tommy Lee. They have made me a changed person. I have changed from a whimpering, fearful, procrastinating dental patient to a smiling, healthy mouth, and ideal dental patient. All thanks to Dr. Tommy Lee and his caring staff. The minute I walk through Cerulean Dental Spa, the warm receptionist who knows me by my first name greets me. Cerulean offers a variety of snacks and beverages (all FREE!) during my check in. I am lead through the doors to my waiting chair where I am treated to a lovely MASSAGE (definitely my favorite part of the visit). As Dr. Tommy Lee does his magic, I am offered a wide variety of movies and shows to past my time. I sometimes want another appointment just to finish my movie! Dr. Tommy Lees dental work is TOP NOTCH! As I mentioned, I have had a needle stuck into my mouth during every childhood dental visit. This has made me very fearful of the needle. Dr. Tommy Lee has perfected "PIT" - painless injection technique. Thanks to Dr. Tommy Lee, I am NO LONGER AFRAID of the needle. Moreover, the whole office is loaded with the latest dental technology – lasers, digital imagery, etc. My entire family sees Dr. Tommy Lee, including my two little boys. My oldest has been seeing Dr. Tommy Lee since he was 2 years old! He still gets really excited about visiting the dentist (who doesn’t when Thomas the Train is playing on your own personal tv screen??). As a mom, I’m really glad my kids won’t have to go through what I went through as a child. Thank goodness for Dr. Tommy Lee and Cerulean Dental Spa!!!

Cerulean Dental Spa is definitely one of the best dental offices I have been too. Not only do they make you feel comfortable and relaxed, they only carry the highest of quality materials and technology. After finding them on Yelp and reading their positive ratings I decided to give them a shot to get my regular cleanings and check-ups. This place definitely gives off the vibes of a spa, with refreshing drinks and snacks to munch on while waiting everyone in their staff is very friendly and welcoming. Instantly as I entered the room I could sense the calm relaxing vibes that they’re trying to give off. As I walked into my seat, I definitely enjoyed watching my favorite season of friends while the work took place. It was a great way for to distract me from the work that was getting done in my mouth while catching up on some TV. I think the best part of any office is feeling welcomed and relaxed. For any dental office the biggest thing I look for is cleanliness and sanitation and I definitely give this place two thumbs up. I cannot stress the importance of cleanliness and you’d be amazed how people “clean” their tools. Being cheap and cutting corners just doesn’t cut it for me. This is definitely a great place to get your dental work done. Honest, friendly, and clean- what more can you look for in a dental office?

Dental Nightmare... I was initially impressed with Cerulean’s nice office, sparkling new equipment, over-courteous staff and the spa atmosphere only to end up in unbearable pain for weeks. Cerulean recommended 3 fillings on the same tooth that I naively agreed to. I returned a few weeks later reeling in pain for 3 emergency appointments and my previously normal tooth was filled/unfilled/filled repeatedly only to conclude that the first filling ‘by mistake’ was drilled too deep and had disturbed the nerve. Now a root canal was the only way to stop the pain. Obviously, I was charged high premiums BOTH for fillings and the root canal. I complained about it but Cerulean said this was normal for a small percentage of cases and did not acknowledge any responsibility. I am quite scared of dental treatments now. I’d rather have my teeth fall off than go through this again. I looked outside for the remainder of the treatment and luckily got a nice recommendation from a friend for a dentist in Sunnyvale to do the crown. Bottom-line – If you want a spa, go to a spa, if you want a dentist find a competent dentist though friends. The fancier the clinic, the more I’d be suspicious of the treatment quality.

My 6 year old daughter has been going ther since she was 3 years old. My daughter who is normally very shy, magically warmed up to Dr. Tommy Lee. He has such an incredible way with young children that he can explain things at a level they can understand as they keep asking why. Most recently, my daughter had to have 2 of her front baby teeth pulled because her permanent teeth were already out and behind the baby teeth. I was terrified that she might need to be put to sleep so the extraction could be done without shrieks and cries. Surprisingly and amazingly, Dr.Lee in his gentleness with her talked to her so warmly that he pulled out the two teeth with only local anesthesia. He asked her to keep her eyes closed and covered the big needle from her. He was so good in fact that my daughter was so happy afterwards that she wanted to go back again. Other things I like are the movies the kids can watch and the toys hey give the children afterwards. Also great are the before and after pictures that are taken for the procedure. Would highly recommend and excellent service all around!

Cerulean Dental Spa is simply amazing! Thanks to them I now actually look forward to my dental visits! :-] The doctors and staff are very nice and personable and have an uncanny ability to make you feel relaxed and at home. Most importantly the dentists are very professional and courteous. I particularly like Dr Judy Chen and Dr Tommy Lee - very nice and very skilled - Ive never felt any pain or had any problems with their care in the 7 years that Ive been seeing them. It does help that they have top-notch, state-of-the-art technology and you get to watch videos as youre being treated.They also provide free snacks and drinks in the waiting room but I rarely have to wait. The most important thing, though, is the quality of their care, which is excellent.

I can honestly say that I love coming to Cerulean Dental Spa, which is not something I have ever said about any other dental practice. Their friendly, welcoming and professional staff makes me feel right at home. It really is a family atmosphere, not only amongst the staff but with all the patients as well. I feel welcome and completely at ease every time I come. Most importantly, the staff and doctors have always taken the time to patiently answer any of my questions and I have never been rushed out of any of my appointments, even if it is near closing time! This is literally the first dentist that I have routinely come back to and I have no reason to look elsewhere for another again!

Dr. Tommy Lee is the BEST! I went in for a routine checkup and they noticed I had two cavities =(. They were able to do the procedure then and there without having to make another appointment. Dr. Lee is very warm and lets you know exactly whats going to take place. The procedure took under an hour and with the use of high tech dental instruments, I didnt feel any pain or discomfort during or after the procedure (well except the numbness =). All in all, Ive been going to Cerulean Dental Spa for some time now and its these types of experiences which makes me have confidence in knowing that I will be treated extremely well! Thanks Dr. Lee!!
