I had the worst experience ever at Dr. Radwans. My daughter is 3 years old and she needed quite a bit of work. I had gone to another dentist and it was going to cost a lot more so I decided to go with Dr. Radwan with the rave reviews that he had. But everything went wrong from beginning to end. Heres the list: 1. first they told me that my old dentist had charged us for an full x-ray which was never done and therefore we didnt have enough on our credit limit of ($3500) to cover the entire procedure. I was furious at our old dentist so I called them and asked why they charged us for a service they didnt provide. Turns out, they hadnt. I confirmed with my insurance and the girl at the front desk basically gave me the wrong info. It took me an hour on the phone to figure this out. I thought ok, one mistake is fine. so I still decided to stay with them. When I told Dr. Radwans office of how they gave me the wrong info, the actual girl who told me this did NOT apologize in any manner and insisted that the insurance company gave her this info. RUDE. But I thought ok, its a small mistake Ill let it slide once. 2. Dr. Radwan is super cocky. During the procedure, he would just come out all of the sudden and say something like " we just need to pull this tooth out". He didnt ask if we were ok with it, if thats what we wanted to do he just said it like "I know best and Im going to do it". So we felt a little out of the loop and we knew why it needed to be done but it was super abrupt and didnt give us any time to think about it. 3. Then after the procedure, a week or so later, her silver crown FALLS out while shes eating her lunch! I go back to get it fixed by another dentist at THEIR office and crowns arent supposed to just FALL out. She said that shes never actually seen it happen and neither have it. My daughter could have choked on it! I was so angry by then. AND when I asked them if they were going to charge me for fixing the problem they said " you can just go" like they WERE going to charge me but decided that they shouldnt. 4. Then at the day of the surgery AFTER my daughter was already under and going through procedures, they tell us that we need to pay $1000 out of pocket b/c its not being covered by insurance. We have AMAZING insurance that pays 100%. Since they cant let her go without us paying in full we paid another $1161. 5. Now Im finding out through my insurance that everything should have been covered and that maybe I wasnt supposed to pay the $1161 out of pocket!!! They gave me false information, charged us extra, and messed up on the actual dental work that was supposed to be done. Everything was a disaster and I dont recommend this place to anyone. I have never written a review before but I thought moms really needed to know before they take their kids in!

Brilliant experience!I was referred to this place by an office colleague and he had high praise for them all! Today I got to see why!! I took my kid today morning to have a check up and some basic cleaning - a kid, who has never set foot inside a Dentist clinic before. Needless to say, we were very apprehensive (more us than the kid I guess). My kid was first attended to by Sonia and she immediately set about be-friending my kid and putting her at ease. She even got my kid to laugh with her on a few things and very soon, my daughter was totally relaxed. They played Cinderella movie in the TV on the top (yes TVs are fixed at the top in the ceiling, looking downwards) and my daughter did not cause any ruckus or give us a reason to worry after that. After Sonia was done with her checkup and cleaning, Dr.Metwally soon came to check on her, and continued with the same care, love and professionalism. After getting some pointers for future care of my daughters teeth, we were ready to leave, but not before she got 2 toys and a couple of stickers too! So very happy that we came to know about this group and chose them! I couldnt be more happier with their love and care to my child!

When it was time to take our son to a dentist I picked one by our house that is a childrens dentist.. IT was traumatic for both of us.. I did not like the staff and how they handle a screaming 3 year old.. Needless to say once we left I started my HUNT for a new Dentist for our son.. Dr Radwans office came HIGHLY recommended and the reviews were all postive.. so I made the appointment and had my husband take Jamie when it was time.. They (husband and son) were HAPPY when they left.. My son was all smiles when he came home and when I asked if he liked the dentist he said loudly "YEAHHH!!!" I said do you want to go again and he repeated "YEAHH!!" IT also became easier to brush our sons teeth as he was more cooperative and no longer fought us on it.. Today was his 6 month check after this first one and again all smiles and happy... Not sure what Dr Radwan does as I have not gone with our sone to the office but as long as my son and husband are happy and smiles when they leave the office then it HAS to be right.. Thank you Dr Radwan!!! Looking forward to the June 2013 appointment.. :)

Wonderful, Fun, Pain-free appointment! What a relief! I had scheduled for both my kids and we were helped immediately upon arrival (there was no waiting time)! The kids were just about getting ready to explore the waiting area with the toys and also the nintendo; but didnt get to because it was time for check up! They were able to pick out their movies they wanted to see while being attended to (to take their mind off the cleaning process). My son was surprised after his check up!! "Im DONE?!?!" lol Taking the kids to the dentist is now a breeze :) Thank you Bay Area Kids Dentist for making it so easy, hassle-free and entertaining that we actually look forward to our next visit! Note: They have a cute "NO CAVITY CLUB" going! Every visit; if you show up to cleaning with NO cavities, you are enrolled in a drawing for a great (toys r us) prize!!! What a great incentive for kids! We are going to FLOSS daily to ensure no cavities till next visit.

This practice is 100 percent geared to young children and anticipates all of their anxieties and concerns. My 2.5 year old actually enjoyed her cleaning. The hygienist put her at ease in the reception area prior to taking her back to the cleaning chair. Dr. Radwan gave us some useful advice on how to maintain her oral health and explained the reasons for some problems she had experienced. My only critique/suggestion is that the office is on a second floor and there wasnt an elevator, so it is a little tricky with a younger sibling in a stroller. The practice is very well organized and they send texts and emails to confirm appointments. The charges and insurance handling were all very transparent and I didnt get any bad surprises when it came to billing.
