I used the services of this office monthly over several years and watched the level of caring and professionalism for the office as a whole decline, to the point I seeked out a different provider for blood draw services. There were a few nurses who held a can-do, positive attitude however their efforts were overshadowed by an overwhelming attitude best summed up as a lack of desire to help the patient (customer) and make the visit a positive one. It was almost as if pleasure was taken by the staff in telling the customers they couldnt be served that day due to an issue with a prescription rather than the staff doing what they could to help the patient out by picking up a phone or thinking outside the box. There are other options for Quest lab draws within a stones throw of this location, I have no idea why you would use this Quest facility when there is such a great option (Biotex) across the street. To be clear, the work done by the staff here was within the code of phlebotomists they have hanging on the wall and they were talented at painless blood draws, all this is, for me, completely overshadowed by the attitude you had to put up with when visiting.

Quest Diagnostic Lab in Thousand Oaks is ridiculous. I called all day long on a Friday to make sure they had received my sons prescription by fax, from his Doctor, but they didnt answer the phone.....all day long. & their recorded message doesnt say anything about leaving a message & theyll call you back. I had set his appointment at 8am online, for that next Monday morning & when we got there, they said We never received a fax from your sons Doctors office. Well, the Doctors wasnt open yet, so....off we went, with no lab work done & a waste of time. When I called my sons Doctors office, they said We have a fax delivery confirmation that the fax went through to the lab. We double checked to make sure it was sent to right lab, the correct fax #, everything was correct. So I called just now, Monday morning at 10:45 to discuss this with them & possibly reschedule, but of course....they didnt answer the phone. NO THANKS. Well go somewhere else.

I have to agree with the other people on this page. Quest Diagnostics really should have a call center so that we can talk with a human being. You never know if something will come up that requires a human being to answer them, and often they do, which is why instead of getting 5 stars they get 2. Having said that, they do perform very well once you walk in the door and they do have a regular clientelle, which will discourage them from investing more money into human capital that will just sit around answering phones or detract from the blood-work. Their Customer Service is lousy, but they get the job done.

I called three times with no answer and no return calls. They dont want our business. Must have disgruntled employees. I am requesting my company not use Quest any more...just because of that one location which is the closest to my company. I wonder how much business those employees lost for the company? They propbably figured the customers would go to other quest sites so the company would not lose money, they just wouldnt have to work as hard at the Moorpark rd location. Im guessing they probably think they are pretty clever. After all, who would accidentally run a shop that way?

I went in to get my blood drawn and the woman checking people in asked if I had an appointment. I did not, well we only take appointments, says she. You can sign in but we may not be able to see you even if you remain in the office until 11:30 am when we close. It was 8 oclock am. I am really upset. I have an order for a cancer screening and I received it yesterday afternoon. I am the patient an should be treated with dignity, not an animal for slaughter. I think the way this women handled the situation was appalling.

Where is the damn fax number I can give Dr. to fax instructions? Call them and apparently their employees are not to be trusted talking to the public? WTF? Chose the I am a Drs office key to get a live person who was very helpful, He gets 5 stars. But subtract the lack of fax availability anywhere else on this site or in electronic phone menu, hold times we end up at 1 star Sorry guy on phone you were nice but you were in Florida and not really to do with this location.

I had a great experience today with my blood draw. I showed up without appointment in the morning, and was told the wait was less than 10 minutes. I was called in just after 5 min wait. The nurse was very much aware of my unease of the blood draw and kept it casual and talked to me throughout the whole process, which distracted me from my fear. She was gentle and inflicted minimum pain. I would totally come here again next year.

This is the second time I came back here. The waiting room has a total new look and much cleaner. They begin at 7 am and I thought 8 am so I came there at about 7.40. The signing-in and waiting just took me about 10 min. The staff who did my test is Lisa and she was great when finding out my vain in just seconds, which I was admired of. I left their office at 8. am. What a wonderful service !

I was completely ignored by the staff. They didnt look up from their desks when I walked in and sat down. After 25 minutes I approached the desk. They said my name was not on the registration list even though I registered online. Though the place was empty, they wouldnt draw my blood. Saturday, 12/18/2010, 8AM.

Needed a lab draw ASAP for a school requirement after a clinic lost my sample. Came here and got done in about 30 minutes (I had an appt. if I recall correctly). After, my test got processed quickly too. Have never had a bad experience with Quest staff either here or at the others Ive been to.

They never answer the phone! I called during business hours, not lunch, according to the phone message and they never answered. How do you run a business like that? The answering machine also picked up right away, as though they didnt want to talk to anyone. Not very professional...

Apparently having an appointment doesnt matter at this office. Several walk-ins and a person with a much later appointment were called before me. When I take the time to set up an appointment I expect that the service provider will honor my commitment to be on time.

They very well know why people rate them One. The irony is they still dont feel required to improve the score. Very very inefficient and rude staff, please dont visit if you have an option.

After multiple phone call attempts by me and my plhysician, I finally gave up and went elsewhere. I am not sure who is in charge, but question their business practices.
