I noticed another review that was negative. Im sorry for your loss and the circumstances you experienced. Ive had more positive experiences at Watsonville Hospital, not only in the E.R. but in other departments too. Ive been to the E.R. maybe 6 times in the last ten years and though not the ideal we all dream of, the care was appropriate for my condition each and every time. The doctor on duty took me seriously and ordered a proper workup. The staff, when available, were accommodating and did their jobs with professionalism, while treating me like a human being. I had two consistent annoyances. 1. the gurneys are terrible for a person with a bad back to lay on. By the time I got out of there I was in more pain in my back than what brought me in there in the first place. I wish there was something they could do about that! 2. When ya gotta go, ya gotta go!!! and there is no way to get those bed bars down so you can get out of bed and go to the bathroom, so you need to depend on getting someones attention. Theres no call button, and if someone has closed the curtain, you have to choose to lay there and hold a full bladder until someone incidentally comes in, or yell out at the next set of footsteps passing by.

I was in a car accident and had the MISFORTUNE to be sent to the ER at this hospital. they checked me, gave me some morphine, and told me to go home. the nurse was not only extremely rude, but he did not explain anything that was going on. in fact, the entire staff was rude. I know emergency rooms are basically meant to make sure youre stable and then they send you on your way, but it wouldve been nice to know that I had a broken toe and why my body was aching so much. even though I live in Watsonville, if I ever have to go to the ER for any reason Im gonna make the 20 minute drive to Dominican.

Today I visited a family member at the Watsonville community hospital ER I was in the waiting room and observed that a pationt was not feeling good, 30 minutes passed and they would not help him out, this patient was an elderly man who was having problems breading and wanted to vomit every one asked the nurse if he could be taken in and ruddly she told us that he could not be taken in, it seems the only way to get In to the ER is if you are at the burg of death. NEVER GO TO THE WATSONVILLE HOSPITAL! It is sad that this it the hospital that serves my community

Worst hospital. My nephew and niece were sick for days and would not get better took them to this hospital. They would not take time and do more exams all they would say it was a cold. We Took them 3 times and it just felt like just getting kicked out of the hospital. The 4 time we decided to take them to Dominican hospital they really took the time to do exams. They had pneumonia. Have had more bad experiences with this hospital. Which i know we should of learned a lesson by know and not go to this hospital.

I went in for chest pain and they ask you to describe you pain from 1 to 10 multiple times. You tend to wait for a while. The sign in nurse hurt me and made me cry from pain with too much pressure on my arm while measuring my pulse/pressure. They took me into a room but then switched me into a hallway bed because they needed the room. First time i went to the hospital and not good.

I was on vacation in Aptos when I hurt myself and required ER help. Everyone from the sign in nurse to the doctor were great! They were all very kind and understanding. They explained the entire process throughout the time I was there. Not a great way to start my vacation but I could have been a lot worse without good medical care!

Still waiting - husband went in, came out went in again - waiting on a dialysis center for treatment! I dont know WTH is going on, he seems to be on a decline! IM REALLY WORRIED! will get back later ----

Do not go to this ER! I have been several times in the last 10 years and unless i am on the verge of death will never go again. They charged me $4700 to take my blood pressure.

Ive never been there before. But last night at 9:30 thats where we were. Staff was friendly and professional. They had me in and out of there in 90 minutes.
