I went to Feather River Hospital 3 times within less then 24 hours. The first time around midnight was not that bad.. I came back twice more that morning due to my symptoms, it must of been during shift changes. I was left alone for a long time and saw two different doctors that were confused on what the last doctor on the last shift had ordered for me.. I had been waiting for a stomach X-Ray, but I guess the order was lost.. The doctor was tired and confused. He gave me medicine that cause my gastritis to flair up so bad at home.. I thought a hole was being burned through my stomach...So needless to say I had to come back. I had just gone through major reconstructive surgery on my face. The nurses and people out front in the emergency room made me feel like I was a joke even though I had not slept for days and just just come out of major reconstructive surgery. I had been up for 48 hours on no sleep. I was compacted with constipation due the meds I had been taking before and after the surgery. My gastritis was extremely flared up. I was swallowing big blood clots due to facial surgery... They didnt even give me a bed nor a blanket. Then from the lack of sleep and not feeling well and being left alone for so long I started to panic... I asked to talk to someone in behavioral health, they acted like they had someone on sight and then just left me alone for hours again.. I was in so much pain and panicking ... NO ONE SEEMED TO CARE NOR BE compassionate! They finally got me on the phone with a crisis line. But not once did they make me feel comfortable at Feather River Hospital. I had a dirty bed and was freezing and thirsty.. I wonder why the hell a hospital could be so under staffed and non compassionate! There is so much more I could say, but I am just going to say it was the worst experience I have ever had at a hospital in my life! This started a chain panic attack that lasted for hours after seeing feather River. I felt so sick, lost and hopeless! I finally went to Enloe in Chico where they seemed like angles and they helped me through all my systems. They didnt let me leave until I was better! They cared at Enloe! Thank you so much Enloe! I am NEVER going back to Feather River Hospital EVER!

All the patient care teams are great at feather river hospital. Its when you come to their outdated and incompetent accounting, they billed me over and over again for payed off accounts, multiple account numbers so I must change my numbers in my bank account to pay on line and no cross checking of their account, they lost accounts, they stated one price and took over $3000.00 more when an insurance payment was sent to them instead of us, they became elitist and rude to me and wife when we question them on these matters. This all started from a auto accident and Feather River Accounting department just made it much worse. For over two years this has been going on, its feels like a scam theyre using on the sick and elderly to get our money. When life is at its worst I would have thought hospital employees would have more compassion and empathy for their patients, I guess not at Feather River Patient Accounting. This is why I will not recommend Feather River because of their accounting practices, sadly a great patient care team is now wasted, these practices should change.billed me over and over again for payed off accounts, multiple account numbers so I must change my numbers in my bank account to pay on line and no cross checking of there account, they lost accounts, they stated one price and took over $3000.00 more when an insurance payment was sent to them instead of us, they became elitist and rude to me and wife when we question them on these matters. The receptionist and Ctscan tech were awesome. The rest of the staff didnt listen to what I was saying. Then there were several patients waiting in the waiting room for results of the tests. They take you behind a partition but the whole waiting room hears everything. So much for the privacy laws. There were several people on their cell phones complaining about their care. It was a horrible experience and I doubt I will ever go back. The arrogance of the staff was over the top. There were a LOT of beds and rooms free but they chose to humiliate people in the waiting room publicly. This is about the same attitude you get at the clinic from the office workers. I had such severe neck and head pain that sitting in a chair made it worse. Also, the air conditioner was on and it was warmer outside then it was inside. I went home with more pain then I started with.

My father (87) was admitted yesterday with problems associated with congestive heart failure. The ER staff were exceptional and he was admitted and transferred to a room as soon as blood work, CT scan and initial evaluations were completed. Dr. Katris and RN, Lorissa, were both extremely thorough and courteous. They communicated immediately with my Dads primary physician, Dr. Vance, and administered the proper medications. RNs Linda and Annie conducted even a more thorough exam of visible leg and skin problems. Dr. Vance came to see my Dad shortly thereafter, and provided us with answers and a treatment plan. Im so pleased with everyone at Feather River Hospital and cannot express my gratitude enough for everything they are doing to see that my Dad is comfortable and on the road home. Thank you FRH .

I had My Baby at feather river 2 years ago and that wonderful experience will stay with me forever! I was in the jacuzzi during the first stage of My labor, there was calming music on in the background during the second stage, the staff was very kind and understanding, I had a beautiful view to the garden outside the sliding door & it was so peaceful! This setting helped keep me calm and made My birthing experience amazing. I was born in this hospital and Im expecting My next Baby right now.. Im ready for another great delivery with a wonderful staff, great pre and post partum care and memories that will last a lifetime. The Baby place is definitely the best place to have a Baby! No doubt about it. Take their bi-weekly tour and see for yourself :-)

First off, this hospital is great. The service, the speed, the attentiveness, staff, and food (especially the food). Not only are almost all the staff that I encountered professional; but theyre also very personable and many of them went above and beyond to spend extra time with me -- talking to me and making conversation to help the time pass quicker while I was there. The issue that a lot of people on here arent taking into account is that theyre not comparing this hospital to other ones. When compared with other hospitals in california (and Ive been a patient at a good number of them throughout my life for chronic issues), this hospitals definitely one of the better ones. And this includes ER wait times, food, and service from the staff.
