I cant begin to thank Dr. Taras enough for the kindness , concern, thoughtfulness, and compassion he showed recently during a difficult time for me and my family. When my daughter, who does not live locally and is not a patient of his, had a scary abnormal blood test result, I emailed Dr. Taras late at night to ask for his recommendation for her care. First thing the next morning, he responded with words of reassurance that helped put our minds at ease. And he didnt stop there. He continued to send me research and resources to help us understand. My daughter is fine!!! I dont know what I would have done without him during this difficult and scary time. The time he took and the information he provided helped alleviate the terrible fear, anxiety, and angst we were experiencing. As a patient of his and a woman who has gone to my share of doctors throughout my life, I appreciate the time Dr. Taras takes to treat me as a whole person, not just a woman in need of an annual exam. How many doctors are willing to spend their time to respond to concerns and emails any time of day or night??? Not many!!! It has become more and more difficult to find doctors who are truly dedicated and who genuinely CARE about their patients. I am extremely appreciative and grateful to Dr. Taras for the thoughtful and caring treatment he provides to his patients..... and clearly to those who are not patients of his. Thank you Dr. Taras.... from the bottom of my heart... And my daughters as well. You are truly a rare and treasured doctor!!

Dr. Taras is a rare breed. He takes the time to listen to his patients, provide thorough explanations, alternative solutions and answer emails after hours! His compassionate approach reminds me of bygone days when doctors genuinely cared for your well-being, took a holistic approach and felt like family. While pap smears and pelvis exams arent exactly my cup of tea, Dr. Taras and his assistant Corinne immediately put me at ease. His charming and cheerful bedside manner makes my annual visits as pleasant as they can be. And although he is not within network, his fees are reasonable. It goes without saying, you cant put a price on excellent health care. Even though Dr. Taras is always punctual and efficient, it was the one time that I had a longer wait that won my deepest respect. After apologizing for the delay, Dr. Taras said something that spoke volumes about his approach. He explained that the patient before me required a lot of care and that if I ever needed extra time like she did, he hoped I knew that he would extend the same courtesy to me. My visits restore my faith in humanity and the health care system! I cant recommend Dr. Taras and his lovely staff highly enough! After putting off my annual exams and health concerns for so long, I am grateful to have found him. Thank you, Team Taras!

I first met Dr. Taras in the delivery room during the delivery of my cousins first of four babies. He has since retired from OB care but he is still a strong force for our gynecological care. I was so moved by how genuine he was at the hospital that I decided to see him for my regular check ups. He is very thorough and makes what is an uncomfortable/awkward thing to do every year a breeze. After he learned that my father had just passed away after a massive stroke he suggested I be screened genetically for that gene. I definitely have it and at 34 yrs old he advised me of my risks and how to avoid my fathers fate. He is an amazing person with the compassion and understanding to get a patient through any challenge. AND his fundraising efforts for the Annual Revlon Walk or Run for Ovarian and Breast Cancer Research put big industries like Disney, Macys etc....in the dust. Take a look at all the years he has gotten hundreds of people to join his team year after year raising now over a half a million dollars towards an incredible cause. Definitely choose him as your physician. His capacity to take "care" of your health is the best and his staff is amazing too!

I am not a trusting soul and by no means easily won over. That being said, in the case of Dr. Ian Taras, it would be an injustice to keep good fortune to myself. Dr. Taras is not only the most intelligent gynecologist Ive ever known, but he is by far the most engaged listener Ive encountered in the medical community. When he says he cares for his patients as he does for his own family, it is not lip service. His extensive knowledge of topics from Hormone Replacement Therapy to the BRCA gene mutation is IMPRESSIVE, and his willingness to educate and allow the patient to make informed decisions is priceless. His office staff makes you feel safe and welcome from the time you arrive. This is a practice based on kindness and followed through with tremendous expertise. If youre looking for a professional relationship with a physician who gives of his time and has your back in difficult circumstances, Dr. Ian Taras is your answer. Five stars are not enough.

Dr. Taras is a wonderful doctor! Ive been going to him for 13 years since I was pregnant with my first son (whom he delivered.) His office is calming and quiet, and he doesnt overbook patients which means he actually SEES his patients within 10-15 minutes of the appointment time! Hes a doctor who genuinely cares about his patients WHOLE-istically; he understands medical care is not just a one-size-fits-all prescription. He stays up to date on new procedures and alternatives, natural and synthetic, and takes the individual into account before recommendations are made. He has always educated me with what he knows and what my choices are, and then fully supports me in whatever decision I make. I guess one thing that makes him such a great doctor is that he knows he doesnt have all of the answers! I feel I get to be a partner in my health which is exactly as it should be.

He is by far the best doctor I have had the please of working with! I have never seen a doctor with so much compassion and attentiveness. Every time I had a question he would reply via email within 24 hours no matter what the question was. Discovering and undergoing treatment for my extremely painful endometriosis was not easy. He was the only specialist that finally diagnosed me after filtering through 10 different doctors and specialist. He also did his best to find the cheapest solution for my treatments. I seriously couldnt have gotten though this process without him. He is worth every penny. Plus he has the most amazing and friendliest staff! And the office makes you feel relaxed and comfortable. Puppies and kittens on the ceiling. It helped a lot! I promise you will not be disappointment!

You just dont find doctors like Dr. Taras very often - he is one in a million! After struggling with menopause I was just about ready to give up! I remembered Dr. Taras from being a previous patient in the 1990s. Thinking maybe he was still in Woodland Hills, CA I looked him up on the internet. Thank goodness he is still there so even though I live eight hours away, I made an appointment and began seeing him again last year. Since that time he has gotten my hormones back on track and I feel like a human being again !!! He is just as I remembered, still has a wonderful caring persona, and took the time necessary to help me. Love the fact that I can communicate with him via the internet and he is so quick to respond. I highly recommend Dr. Taras!
