I’M PREGNANT WITH MY 3RD CHILD AND HAVE HAD THE PLEASURE OF DR. HELLIWELL AT ADVANCED WOMEN’S HEALTH CENTER DELIVER ALL OF MY CHILDREN, INCLUDING THIS ONE (MY LAST ONE). I CANNOT RECOMMEND THIS OFFICE ENOUGH TO MY FRIENDS AND FAMILY AND TO EVERYONE OUT THERE. WHEN YOU WALK THRU THE DOOR, YOU GET A FEELING OF CALMNESS. RIGHT AWAY WITHOUT SAYING A WORD TO THE FRONT OFFICE THEY WERE FULL OF SMILES. THERE WAS NO WAITING ON MY PAPERWORK FOR ME TO FILL OUT, EVERYTHING WAS NEAT AND READY. AS SOON AS MY PAPERWORK WAS FINISHED, WITH A LITTLE WAIT TIME I WAS CALLED INTO THE BACK BY ANOTHER FRIENDLY FACE, HIS MA! SHE INTRODUCED HERSELF TO ME, EXPLAINED ALL THAT WOULD BE GOING ON IN MY VISIT AND I WAS PLACED IN THE EXAM ROOM. DR HELLIWELL REMEMBERED ME FROM MY PREVIOUS PREGNANCIES AND EVEN THOUGH WE’VE DONE THIS BEFORE HE WAS VERY INFORMATIVE OF ALL MY QUESTIONS AND GOING ABOVE ALL THAT I EVER EXPECTED FROM A DR. PRIOR TO MY APPT ENDING HE ORDERED AN ULTRASOUND THE SAME DAY. WITHOUT WAITING, HE WALKED ME OVER AND I WAS GREETED BY ANOTHER FRIENDLY FACE. BRANDI THE ULTRASOUND TECH WAS AWESOME! I GOT TO SEE MY BABY AND HEAR THE HEART BEAT AND SHE EVEN TOLD ME WHAT I WAS HAVING WITHOUT ME ASKING. BOTTOM LINE IS IF YOU WANT A GREAT EXPERIENCE WITH YOUR PREGNANCY AND A WONDERFUL STAFF YOU WILL BE GOING TO SEE DR HELLIWELL AT ADVANCED WOMENS HEALTH CENTER.

I am 54 years old and have had lipo twice by two different Drs. I did not get the flat stomach I wanted so I decided to see Dr. Helliwell. He was very patient, professional, and pleasant with all of the questions (I had many) I had regarding my tumescent lipoabdominoplasty. The nurses who assisted with my surgery helped me feel at ease and kept me warm and comfortable. Although its only been a few days since my surgery, my follow-up visit was also pleasant and I did not have to wait very long before the Dr. came into the room to see me. I am very surprised that I have been able to walk around upright since day one of my surgery! Although I am still swollen, I can see the difference! I am also surprised I have been able to control my pain with just Motrin. Katie and Vidi were very friendly and helpful in answering all of my questions. I would recommend Dr. Helliwell to anyone who needs any type of minimally invasive surgery. I am looking forward to my one week follow-up and to see my progress. Its day three and the incisions from the lipo are already closing and I do not have anymore seeping. I look forward to shopping once the swelling goes down! I am very happy with my decision to come here.

Dr. Helliwell was a wonderful Doctor. He made sure to run every test possible before birth which made me feel extremely comfortable that everything was going to go well. In the hospital he was amazing also. He has this way of making you feel very comfortable. The only criticism I would say is that he needs to spend a little more time in appointments going over everything. Sometimes I think he seems a little too busy and kind of hurries when he is seeing you. For pregnant women,who are more emotional, it makes you feel a little unimportant, like he is hurrying to his next appt. and not giving a hundred percent to each patient. All in all I would recommend him to anyone! In all three of my pregnancies he is the best doctor that I have had and I am greatful that I chose him.

After having gone through three pregnancies at Advanced Womens, I am one satisfied momma. Dr. Helliwells thoroughness, knowledgeability and compassion is what keeps me a loyal patient. In addition, he also honors your time, which is especially helpful with three littles under the age of 4. Dr. Helliwell asks for ultrasounds, tests and results all in one appointment- that way you do not have to take unnecessary trips back to the office. However, having such a good doctor does come at a price: the wait. Sometimes the wait time can be a little more than I bargained for, so to is why I try to schedule my appointments first thing in the morning. Overall, he is a great doctor.

I had a wonderful experience with my pregnancy at Advanced Womens Health Center. Dr. Helliwell was always patient and took the time to answer all of my questions each visit. I never felt rushed during my appointments and appreciate his bedside manner. I also enjoyed his staff, they are all very friendly and they made me feel very comfortable from the beginning. Im going to miss seeing them all on a weekly basis!! I highly recommend Dr. Helliwell and his staff and will use him for all of my future needs!!!!

Dr. Helliwell and his entire staff are always top notch! I have no problem going to see physicians and specialists in Los Angeles, however for my OB/GYN doctor, there has never been a reason to go any further than down the street from my own house! I appreciate the kindness, professionalism and ease of scheduling which I experience from Advanced Womens Healthcare. I truly appreciate my Doctor and will continue coming here. I would recommend this office to any woman without hesitation.

Dr Helliwell is very knowledgeable, friendly and professional. He has amazing bedside manner and makes you feel comfortable. Dr. Acceda is also amazing, I had to have an emergency c-section when Dr. Heliwell was out of town and he did a great job and is also very personable. Dr. Helliwells staff is also very friendly. The only suggestion I can give is they could work on minimizing wait times. Thank you again for everything!

Dr. Jason Helliwell literally saved my life! I found out I was deathly allergic to standard Rx Levothyroxin Thyroid medication (anaphylaxis) with an emergency trip to the Hospital. Dr. Helliwell Rx an Armour Thyroid and a Progesterone Creme from a local Pharmacy, and that turned my health around 100 fold. Thank you Dr. Helliwell I wouldnt be here without you (literally)

I found Dr. Helliwell to be patient and thorough in explaining procedures and answering questions as well as reassuring and competent as a physician.I wanted to get the O shot due to long standing incontinence as I was aging. The shot worked very well for that and I was able to avoid major surgery. Plus added pleasurable sensation to the area, at any age, is a bonus.

I use to go to Mercy South West. I complained for years about abdominal pain, saw varies doctors within that practice, was prescribed everything including birth control pills. I switched to Dr. H, and he was able to give me and show me that I had fibroid tumors. He is very through, and I would and have recommended him to family and friends .
