Dr. Guillory saved me from a lifetime of acid-blocking medications and all their side effects by helping me completely eliminate my heartburn. Id been having problems with daily reflux for several years and was taking Pepcid every day. I was frustrated and scared, yet I was hesitant to see traditional doctors for this problem because I knew their solution would be to prescribe me antacid medications to control my symptoms instead of identifying the underlying cause. Dr. Guillory spoke with me at length about my diet and other health issues and helped me understand the root cause of my reflux. He weaned me off the antacid medications, put me on his Leaky Gut Protocol and helped me change my diet, and I no longer have any issues with heartburn whatsoever. While on the month-long protocol, I continued to feel increasingly better and found my health improved in areas I didnt expect, like better mental clarity and improved sleep. Dr. Guillory has a vast knowledge of functional medicine and he is able to identify the root cause of disease and CURE it. Contrast his approach with the traditional doctors approach of only treating symptoms and it is clear why there is a waiting list to be seen by Dr. Guillory. I cant recommend him highly enough.

Needs to partner more w/the pt., listen, individualize approachand integrate a supportive psychological approach. approach to pts needs refinement. Wellness model present but not refined. Office staff hurried, more business like and clinical then friendly and verbally supportive.. Would not recommend for those well versed in alternative practices: little new and some missing pieces.FirstMD appt an hour late. Not questioned re: how ill I actually was. Prescibed supplement side effects not taken into consideration resulting in worsened condition and costly testing and possible corrective measures. Could morph into a comprehensive holistic wellness model if open to making some adjustments but feedback to them did not indicate this. Office staff other than medical personnel have expanded role that may or may not be a comfortable fit. all work very hard,, have a modecum of caring, attempt to answer questions but answers can be imcomplete. Sense of humor present, not always appropriate. Practice is a mixed bag and more suitable for those who are use to a traditional MD approach that uses supplementation and nutritional and some alternative approaches.

I am so thankful my cousin recommended I try seeking treatment from the Care Group and Dr. Guillory. For 4 years I was dealing with severe body stiffness, fatigue, dizzy and light headedness, and stomach pain. I am a fit college student but was in and out of hospitals and doctors offices trying to figure out what was wrong with my body and stomach, and my worsening pains and lack of appetite and fatigue. Extraordinary Results by Getting to the Root Cause I have been challenged my 68 years with border-line-high blood pressure that has run in my family. I found Doctor Guillory after doing some extensive research online to try and find a doctor who could help me with my debilitating digestive issues. After reviewing some of the excellent information he had on his website I decided to make an appointment. The staff was so great in helping me get in as soon as possible. I was blown away at the treatment when I got there and the team approach. Not only did I feel listened to and not crazy, Doctor Guillory and his team reassured me that I wasnt the worst case theyd ever seen and that they could help me. Compared to the first doctor I went to years ago who told me that my symptoms were impossible, this was a dream come true. 30 days on the Leaky Gut Protocol and I have seen dramatic improvements. I became a patient of Dr. Guillory in January 2015. He is a great guy and I have no complaints about his abilities. His office staff is very rude, offensive and disrespectful. They all lack tact and professional ethics. Ive experienced them calling security to the office to prepare for my visit. Once I exposed the prejudice action I was told security was brought in to make sure things run smoothly. I was totally flabbergasted by the way they attempted to justify the need for security to monitor the "black" guy. I have since paid my bill and sought other health services. I do not recommend anyone use this office for anything. We are living in a world where an entire office staff feels threatened by one person simply because of the color of their skin. I plan to use my social media presence with over 25k followers to bring awareness to injustice. The BBB will be notified as well as the Medical Board and DORA. God bless us all.
