Upon relocation, I chose this practice for location and a decent bio impression on Judith Brinkman md. I have had significant pain for 2 weeks in my pelvic area and low back. I have been seen by a nurse practitioner ( short gray hair, 60s) who, after my exam for the pain, stated that my surgeon for my hysterectomy could have left part or all of my cervix because "he probably got tired and said enough is enough, and closed you up." Her other arm chair diagnosis was possibly scar tissue. Um... I was then scheduled for an ultrasound...4 days later. Still in pain. They use a common lab in the building but this doesnt mean you are seen by the lab/radiology that day. I waited 6 additional days, including a weekend, for results which were only given after i called 2 times due to pain. The person who returned my call was a medical assistant and couldnt read results and was only able to tell me that Dr Brinkman wanted to see me tomorrow. I pressured her to tell me something and was hesitantly told that I have 2 large ovarian cysts, roughly golfball sized. Still no help with pain. Ovarian cysts are a far cry from suggesting my cervix was left by my hysterectomy surgeon, or even scar tissue... An additional day of pain. I was told if the pain is that severe to go to the er or a clinic. Arent I at one? My request was for one (1) pain pill...not 30. One! My takeaway from 3 visits is this: 1. Dr Brinkman and her nurse practitioner ( gray short spiky hair, 60,s) do not seem to have compassion, timeliness or any sense of urgency in dealing with someone in pain and the np is allowed to give arm chair diagnosis without merit. 2. Test results were very long to receive and weekend help is unavailable, pain or not. 3. The np diagnosed what she isnt qualified to diagnose and caused tremendous additional stress. My error was in choosing this place. My success will be finding a more professional, timely and respected facility to hire for my medical care. Please do not waste your time with CSHP at Barnes. By the way, Im still in pain!

This place has cost me my job, has lied to my face and stabbed me in the back. They had doctors tell me and my father that they will support a disability case and then turned around after making me miss work for 3 weeks and say they wont support it which caused me to get fired because i wasnt healthy enough to report to work the next day...now they are trying to literally kill me when i switched insurances by not allowing me to get the blood thinners i need to survive. Everytime i call this place i get attitude. All they had to do was call medicaid and authorize the perscription and they wont do it because i switched insurances. My pharmacy even said they would cover all they needed was my primary care to call and when i let cshp know this they lied straight to me and said medicaid doesnt cover the perscription when the pharmacy told me all they needed to cover it was a doctors authorization. Its like they are literally trying to kill me. Im talking to my lawyers about this place. They dont care. Worse medical practice in the state. Backstabbing liars. I wouldnt support this place if my life depended on it. EDIT: THE XARELTO THEY TOLD ME WASNT COVERED BY MEDICAID IS COVERED BY MEDICAID...just saw a doctor outside of cshp, she couldnt believe what i have been through with these doctors. They honestly lie straight to your face. I wouldnt give this place any business, spread the word and down with crooked medical practices.

This place made my pregnancy a NIGHTMARE! The nurses are the only thing good in this place. Everytime I came in, it was a battle about my insurance, like a 30 minute battle. Its not a joke when they ask you to come in 30 min early. And this is just the reception desk. Then you sit and wait to be called back, once again takes forever ( because they book more patients then they are able to see, hoping cancellations will happen). Finally I get back to see my doctor. She cant remember my name my unborn babies name and any conditions I have, even though I talked to her about TWO weeks ago. After all of the mistreatment I get a huge bill in the mail...... Saying Im not covered..... When your pregnant, you go to see your doctor every month. When it gets closer to your due date, you go every two weeks; Even closer to your due date you go EVERY week! Here we are going every week and they JUST say something about my insurance. I try to talk to the receptionist and all she can say is "Idk what going on but heres the number to our billing.." Really? Ok, I call there billing. And after 3 (4 hour long conversations) they tell me my insurance is entered incorrectly. These people..... Months and months of stress DURING pregnancy all because they cant train people right. I went to a different office to deliver my baby. It was THE best idea I ever had! Im still fighting CSHP about billing; and my other doctor? Well, no problems there!

I have seen my doctor, Dr Pennington for going on 24 years. I recently got a letter saying that he is moving to Hospital and wont be able to work at the Cshp office on Barnes anymore...I cried, I have a lot of siezures and really trusted my doctor. You know when you have problems and they shuffle you around how stressful and insecure you can get...I always felt safe with Dr Pennington and felt like he truly cared. He is a good spiritual and informed man that really took care of me, and I never heard him complain. He has a good family and is dedicated to them, and this is why I feel he is leaving... to spend more time with them.I am so afraid to change doctors and he is so busy that I am unable to be squeezed in. Even though I am terrified of my future without the doctor I feel I have grown up with, I wish him well and want him to know that he will be missed. I am so sorry to hear that he is moving on, my anxiety is high, and the person that I trust and feel like is my big brother is leaving...I cry a lot lately..I dont think I will ever find some one that just made me feel safe, and like he truly made me feel like even though I have frequent siezures that he could not stop, he would be there when I truly needed him....I feel so lost right now...I will miss you very much

Extremely frustrating situation, Dr. Garscadden was GREAT when we saw him in the hospital, and the days after for weight checks. I made my littles 2-month appointment just a few weeks after he was born. After knowing for over a month that we have CHP+ insurance and confirming that during the appointment confirmation phone call, We get notified at the APPOINTMENT CHECK IN that they do accept CHP+ patients. THREE separate office staff confirmed our insurance was fine, I took off of work to take my little to this appointment and wasted 45mins to not have him seen by a doctor. Now having to start all over to find a new pediatrician and hope their office staff isnt as incompetent. Their service is AWFUL and they clearly dont know what their doing.
