If I could give half a star I would. From the moment I walked in I have been getting BS answers. I went in to start acutane. The acutane process to get started is a pain and I knew this, but I didnt expect Van guard to make it even more of a hassle. Let me start off by saying that I live in downtown Denver and I have to drive an hour and 45 minutes to my appointment every time. This is the 3rd month in a row that they have prolonged me getting my medicine. My first appointment was in January. I got all the information, did the pregnancy test, signed a bunch of paperwork and read over a booklet. They set my next appointment for a month later. I came back a month later and they said I need blood work done to continue, but they dont do it in their office. I made an appointment in denver and had my labs done and sent over. I have been on 2 different medicines that are "required" and then told to stop them. I did. I got everything done on my half that needed to be done (spent a lot of money since my insurance doesnt cover my labs) between gas and driving time, I was excited to finally get my medicine today. I get to my appointment and they tell me "Someone didnt put you in the system, its our fault so you might have to wait another month (Of course) until we can get you into the Ipledge system." She then proceeded to ask if I did my blood work and labs.. I told her that I did them and they were sent over. She said they dont have records of it. They proceeded to make a follow up appointment (Why? I didnt even receive a prescription so I dont see the need to drive an hour and 45 minutes back down in a month) They also said before escorting me out, that they will call the customer service number and try to get me into the system and will give me a call back once they know more. My appointment was a complete waste of money and time and Im paying for THEIR mistakes. They dont seem to care or have any urgency at all with the situation. I wish they would have called me to let me know I wasnt in the system before I wasted my time and got my hopes up again. The only reason for the one star is the place is nice and the receptionists were nice. Everything and everyone else Im not impressed with in the slightest.

From the very start Vanguard was amazing. Ricky fielded my phone call and was able to accommodate my request for consult and procedure appointments asap. After getting me scheduled for both appointments in the next few days, Vanguard was able to call me and offer me earlier appointments as cancellations occurred. This was much appreciated. Immediately upon entering the facility I was impressed by the level of cleanliness and "wow factor". Check-in was a breeze and I was greeted promptly and warmly. I waited very little time in the lobby before being shown to the respective patient rooms. Both of the MAs I interacted with were professional and kind. Dr. Leslie was thorough in his consultation exam. Brandon, Dr. Chungs MA was great to work with and took extra time and care to ensure my excision site was numb as I have a high resistance to lidocaine/novocaine(or low pain tolerance perhaps). Brandon will one day make a fine doctor and surgeon. Dr. Chung was a pleasure to work with. He explained everything thoroughly and answered all of my questions. He did a great job with the excision. Dr. Chung was able to remain a consummate professional, while interjecting humor and levity during the procedure. I would definitely return to Vanguard and would highly recommend it to anyone!

Dr. Renata Prado is my miracle doctor. I had been suffering with hives for four year due to a reaction from medication. The hives would come on mostly anytime three to four times a week from 10 pm -1 a.m. and would last for three hours. They were so bad and nothing was helping. I went to the top allergists, dermatologists and pc to find a solution and none were able to help me. I thought I was going to have them for the rest of my life. A friend suggested Vanguard Skin Specialists and thank God I was given Dr. Prado. She looked at my medication list and told me to delete one of my medications that she thought might be the problem. That was 3 months ago, and Im happy to say since seeing her just that one time, I have not had one episode of hives. She truly is my miracle doctor. She is such a friendly, sweet, person. I am so grateful having such a wonderful doctor. I am also very disappointed that none of the above doctors saw this simple solution, but I am grateful Dr. Prado did. I highly recommend Dr. Prado.

Waited over an hour for Dr Prado. She seemed to have made up her mind what was wrong with me before seeing my condition. Sent me to get some lab work done, but didnt tell me which lab or where to go. Spoke of giving me a prescription, never received one. My primary care provider referred me to Dr. Chung I was booked with Dr. Prado. When I called to complain, the patient coordinator (Ricky) spoke with Dr. Prado about the situation. Ricky called me back and asked if I wouldnt reconsider seeing Dr. Prado again, because she was willing to still help me. Seriously, Ill only alow myself to be mistreated once. I asked my primary care doctor for another referral. Nice office staff, poor patient care. If Im asked to be on time and in this case early, respect my efforts by treating me in a timely manner and let me know what your doing and why. Im not an idiot.

Same issue as a previous reviewer. I scheduled an appointment with Dr. Chung. When I arrived, my appointment was with PA Fredrickson. I considered leaving but decided to give her a shot. While she seemed thorough, she also seemed to be more inclined to schedule simple procedures for fatty lump removal in multiple visits rather than removing 2 of them at once. I said never mind. Read more visits = more money for them and more money out of my pocket and more time wasted. In a nutshell, lousy scheduling and multiple visits that could have been reduced led to less than desired satisfaction.

I was lucky enough to meet Rachel Frederickson, PA-C...having unusual and unattractive skin issues is already embarrassing, let alone some stranger looking even closer at you, but Rachel was so kind and understanding I felt no trepidation. This was my first visit to a dermatologist but thanks to meeting the wonderful team at Vanguard it wont be my last. Rachel was able to get my skin condition under control in just days, which my GP was not able to help much. I am so thankful I took a shot...I highly recommend Vanguard!

We were referred to this practice because of cancer on nose. Was very impressed with Dr. Prado. She was very compassionate and understanding of my concerns. Did an excellent job of removing the affected area and then Dr. Archibald did plastic surgery to repair the spot. He did an excellent job. The staff is very friendly and caring. Always receive prompt care. Both of us have since also had full body exams by Dr. Prado and she and her assistant were very thorough. I would highly recommend this practice.
