On Thursday morning I took my daughter to her Peditrician. She wasnt feeling well and was not keeping down her formula. The Peditrician said she was coming down with a slight throat infection and prescribed her antibiotics and fever/pain medicine. The Peditrician ran a swob test to detect if it was strep throat. And I was told after the results they would give me a call and notify me if they were positive. I never received a call and later that day my daughter got worse and I took her to Stat Emergency Center, the north location, and was impressed with how fast they took her in. Dr. Johnson was looking over my daughter and he was extremely helpful. He did the swob test again and indeed it was strep throat. He gave her an IV and antibiotics and in no time she was recovering and gaining her color again. He really helped out my baby Sophie and for that Im extremely glad we still have helpful doctors in Laredo. I really recommend this place for fast, reliable, and accurate results!!

I had previously been to stat in 2014 and then again in 2015 both times I had blue cross and they were treating me like a king. I just left the place because of a leg injury I sustained. I still have BCBS. The front desk lady with short black hair was very rude sarcastic. I was the only one there. She asked what leg and for my insurance card. I handed it to her and she said we dont take Obama care. I was like can you show me where it says that please. Then she said to me in a con descending tone oh an anyways your copay is $600. I was shocked in the tone. Then she proceeded to say you can self pay but..... like if waiting for me to say I cant afford it. Wow. I have plenty of funds to pay for my health care. I will never be back and I will stop recommending you all like I had been for years. Get used to seeing empty waiting rooms with that type of service. Oh and just like a previous review said. They did charge my insurance over 7K for a 30 minute stay. Thank you.

This place is full of snakes, thieves, and liars! Snakes: its family owned and operated which means all of administration is related so if they dont agree with you prepare yourself to be dealt with. Thieves: they over charge the patient and insurance companies! The better the insurance the bigger the charge. The same bandaids you buy at Walmart for 99 cents a box they charge you and your insurance an arm and a leg for. They have point of care testing which means your results are not completely accurate. I do not recommend this place at all go to a real ER even if you have to wait. Your results will be accurate and your visit will be a lot cheaper. This place didnt even earn a 5 star on its own...the majority of the people leaving reviews and ratings are staff and family members.

What a rip off!! Dont go to Stat Emergency. Our kids got sick in March and we took them to Stat Emergency on the Loop in front of Academy. The clerk assured us that our insurance was covering the bill and we would only have to pay the co-pay of $150 each kid. Stat billed the insurance company over $4,000 for a simple doctors visit. The insurance company, of course only paid about $1300.00. Stat was paid $1,600 in total for the two visits and now is demanding payment of $2700 more. I am outraged by the behavior of Stat. Its this kind of over-billing that is putting a stress on the insurance system and hiking up prices for insurance.

I cant even begin to thank the team at stat enough! I drove myself there at 1am in anaphylactic shock. My face and eyelids had been swollen and I couldnt breath. There was no wait and they immediately took me back where the awesome nurses and Dr. Crespo took immediate action. When nurse Debbie realized she knew my brother and that he was out of town; she helped me contact my family. Between her Kimberly, Mario, Jerry and all the amazing people there - I felt like I was their priority. I would ten times go there again (if needed) vs any of the hospital ers! Thank you all from the bottom of my heart!

I took my son to this facility and it was the best ER treatment weve ever experienced. The staff, including the doctor, was extremely nice and attentive. They made sure my son was comfortable and even held conversations with him. Not even his pediatrician gives him that kind of attention. It was fast to register him as a patient and they took him in right away, no wait. If I had to choose the hospitals ER or this ER, Id definitely choose this place.

Nurses Sam and Erik, and Dr. Crespo took great care of me and made sure that I wasnt in any pain. My daughters had snacks, water, coffee, and juice readily available to them and this made our visit more pleasant. I was in a room within 10 minutes of arrival and was sent home with prescriptions, a dvd of my cat scan and the cat scan report etc. I had never experienced such good service in Laredo before.

Best service in town! Nurses (David), Doctor Raul Lozano and front staff (Blanca) provided the BEST and fast service for me last night. I am a self-pay patient and my bill wasnt AS HIGH as some people stated they had. Besides, it was well worth the money with such great care that they provide! Thank you so much, I am definitely doing much better today.

I had to take my friend here late at night and we were taken care of so well! Plenty of snacks and drinks in the lobby while you wait, outstanding medical treatment, friendly staff and we were in and out so quick! Overall great visit under the circumstances!

Unfortunately Ive had to come here on two occasions. Fortunately Stat attended to my familys emergency fast, no long wait times, they run labs and do xrays. The doctors and staff are very attentive. I have no complaints about this facility.
