I hesitated to write a review because I dont like doing this...but I feel that you need to advise others of this Carefree Cats Veterinary Hospital! I took my cats in to be boarded clear back last July 2016 to board them for around 5 days and get them checked out to make sure all was good! And my husband and I went out of town for my birthday in July and the Carefree Cats Veterinary Hospital and we had to cut our trip short because they called us and said that our cats had been fighting and they had to put them in separate kennels! Well, my cats have never fought at home or being boarded somewhere else! In fact my cats I got from PetsMart back in 2014 and they lived with no problems together either in the same kennel. They are sisters! And also I paid my bill in full when I picked up my cats and now almost 10 months after...I get a call from Carefree Cats and they tell me that because of an employee back then because they didnt write down something....now they say I owe them $64.00 and I told them that I felt that was not my fault that they mad a mistake and that they didnt give my cats the care that they needed in the time that they were there. I know that $64.00 is not that much money....it is the principal! And how do I really know that this wasnt paid for already????? Case in point if you went to McDonalds and they undercharged you and waited 10 months to tell you....I think that they dont have many cases! I am upset because I feel that they let me down and especially my two loving sweet cats. And I hope that many read this and others reviews because this Carefree Cats Veterinary Hospital doesnt make their clients and their animals feel Carefree...they made unhappy cats back in July 2016 and I was never happy with them! And now being threatened over a $64.00 error on the part of the Carefree Cats Veterinary Hospital to send to collections to hurt me and my family when we did all our due diligence to make sure we paid the bill in full! Please make sure you stand up for yourself and especially stand up for the 4-legged ones that you Love always. Shame Shame on Carefree Cats Veterinary Hospital! Intimidation and threats to pay one way or another are just wrong on every level! Take care and make a better decision on who takes care of your precious 4-legged family members! And the office manager told me that basically too bad...we are going to turn you over to collections...WOW! And I paid my bill in full the day I picked up my cats! And it is not my fault that they are incompetent! I am sure many companies make errors....but they should stand tall and accept their mistakes and go on! And I just got that call today on 4/28/17! When my cats were there clear back last July 2016

I have taken my cats to Carefree Cats over a span of twelve years. They have done all kitties services such as declawing, neutering, shots, dentals, and the occasional accidental abscess or broken toe. I moved away for a few years to NJ and went to two other veterinarians, and I can tell you that Carefree Cats seems a better alternative for all of our veterinary needs. I like that they are flexible in scheduling appointments, often same day, and that they dont have to send out for test results and supplies, as did some smaller vets in NJ. Therefore, I feel that they can ascertain what is going on in the first visit within hours, not days. I tend to agree that certain diagnostic testing is needed to correctly identify the issue and to determine the best course of action. After all, until my cats start speaking English and can tell the vet where they hurts, it is a necessary process. I am convinced that the newer facility offers us better care as they have the room for in-house diagnostic testing, overnight hospitalization and to offer the necessary take home medication immediately. I feel that they are keeping my Cats best interests at heart in an out of the exam room. I also believe that their rates are competitive with other vets that I have experienced. Further, I feel that they are keenly aware of the high cost of veterinarian care and I believe that they make reasonable efforts to reduce the necessary charges. They are able to accommodate my Insurance claim forms and I have never had any issue about non-coverage due to work performed. Most importantly they specialize in cats - Dr. Pollard and Dr. Moses are an effective team whos primary concern is devoted to my cats well being. I am always happy to see a friendly face when I arrive, Pat - Office Manager, whom I have known for twelve years as a dedicated and conscientious friend and staff, knowing that they will be there for years to come for me and my cats.

I am SO disappointed with our experience with Carefree Cats. We usually use High Plains for our regular vet, but they dont offer boarding so we called Carefree Cats. Our cat has been struggling to urinate so is on two medications (pills) three times a day and a powder that dissolves into water once a day. I left the medication instructions on their form and also typed them up in detail, & we reviewed them with the vet tech when we dropped him off. Carefree decided they couldnt do meds 3x a day so they only gave him his meds twice a day. They left me a voicemail the first full day to tell me he hadnt urinated (BECAUSE THEY REDUCED HIS MEDICINE), never tried to call the second number we listed to reach us (they accidentally called my husbands cell the first day we dropped him off so we thought he was listed as the primary. I didnt realize the missed call I had received was from them), and they didnt even tell me when we picked him up that theyd reduced his meds. I figured it out based on the number of doses they returned to me. They did tell us he only urinated once on his own while with them (because they had reduced his meds!!). I will NEVER trust my cat with them again. Despite them being a cat hospital, do not trust them with your cat if medications are involved. We now lost 3 weeks of progress with our cats recovery since we need to start all over building up his medications.

I called to get my cat in for grooming. I have been here before and they were very nice and the prices reasonable. I called to get a price quote. The person on the phone did not give me the entire quote. I was unaware that anethesia was $2.25 a minute. When I arrived to get him groomed and I found this out I asked how long he would be under (15 year old cat), they said 30 to 45 minutes. This worried me and I wasnt expecting the expense so I opted for another hair style for my cat. The cut was $25 and the anethesia was $85. The cat was dematted but there was not a hair cut. I called them to explain that there was a miscommunication. They agreed to give him a different hair cut. I told them not to give him anethsia. They only cut his back because he got testy. So he is half shaved. I asked them before the second hair cut if I could get 50% of my money back and take him to a groomer that I have used in the past. They said no. Now, do these people really understand cats? Dont you think they would know the cat would protest if someone shaved on his stomach? I appreciate that they tried to make it right the second time. They need to really explain to people their procedure and their policy. I wont be going back.
