Going to this institute was a terrible experience. I decided to go to have a complete and satisfactory evaluation on my eyes because I have had glasses since I was a little girl. First: I had an appointment with a doctor and, without asking or consulting with me, they changed the doctor at the last minute. Second: the consultation was incredibly brief. Really disappointing. Third: I wanted to know if I qualify for a laser surgery, feature that they actually promote on their website. Well, they told me that the evaluation needed to be performed by "other people", other institute or office, so, after insisting, they took me to other place, in the same building. When we arrived there, there was a lady who had no idea about the evaluation, the Colorado Eye Institute employees and that lady started to argue IN FRONT OF ME (really uncomfortable), and, at the end, no evaluation was made. They were rude and really unpleasant. Fourth: before going to the appointment, I asked if my insurance covered it and they said: "Yes!". It was not true. So, they sent me bills and bills and bills for the 5 minutes consultation, for the uncomfortable moments and, of course, for the LASIK evaluation that NEVER happened. I called and explained to them all what happened. They couldnt care less and kept, practically, harassing me with calls and bills, and more calls and more bills. Please, do not waste your time, money, and energy with these people.

Clinic is a rip off. Not sure what this clinic is trying to pull but the first thing they did wrong was they billed my insurance incorrectly. I was recommend to go to them because of a new eye problem and they billed my insurance as routine eye exam instead of medical which messes up my vision benefits. Good luck to me on getting this fixed. Cost of their glasses was out of this world quoted over $400.00 with insurance benefits. I refused to pay this because I could not afford this and requested a copy of my prescription and they were very reluctant to give it to me. Went to Sears to have prescription filled and found out Lees clinic had already submitted a bill to my insurance for glasses that I never purchased or received from them. My insurance is trying to get this cleared up but what a horrible inconvenience nightmare. Also the staff was incredibly rude. I could not believe how much I felt like an inconvenience to them. Got the impression this clinic is just in it for the money they do not care about you as a human let alone a patient.

I have had cataract surgery twice. Both surgeries went very well. I am extremely satisfied with the result. My glasses were about the price that I would expect to pay at a doctors office. I was seen by Doctor Lee several times and I had to wait each time, this is no different than any other office appointment, I understand that it was necessary because they are very, very busy. Being a busy office I can understand that mistakes happen and the staff is often very young and isnt always perfect. That being said, the professional staff is extremely competent and always took utemost care and offered due dilligence to my case. I have used several doctors across the country during my lifetime and find Dr. Lee and his staff to be among the very finest. I would not hesitate to recommend Lee Eye Institute to anyone, including people who have issues with waiting or cant seem to take care of their own insurance claims.

We were very disappointed with the lack of care. We were a walk-in at the end of the day on Friday and could tell the doctor wanted to leave. My daughter had an accident involving her eye, her eye was scratched and we were referred by urgent care to see them as they didnt feel they could handle it in the urgent care facility. Both my daughter and I felt her complaints regarding her eye were completely discounted, we were told she has allergies and sent on our way. She was told to continue an antibiotic that irritates her eye more as well. It wasnt until we spoke to another doctor about her case that we found she has a sensitivity to that particular antibiotic and allergies should have never been her diagnosis. She was finally given the right prescription for her scratched eye. Had we not pushed them my daughter would still be dealing with an infected eye. You could not pay me to go back to that place.

Mom and I can not thank Dr. Lee enough!!! My mother has suffered from a disease called keratoconus for most of her life. Her vision was getting worse and worse. She started to tell us that she was seeing at least two of everything, and got to where she really wouldnt even leave her house. A family friend recommended we go see Dr. Lee & my mom was won over on her first visit. He has performed both transplants, and although it has been a long journey, I am happy to say she is getting to see her first grandchild the way most grandmothers do! I highly recommend Dr. Lee and his staff. They took such good care of my mom and that meant the world to me.

I wanted to thank Colorado Eye Institute for the excellent care that my family and myself have received over the years. Dr. Lee and his staff have always been professional and courteous. I have never had any issues. Scheduling my first appointment was a breeze. I saw Dr. Lee and he was beyond great. I had multiple questions about my insurance and the insurance ladies explained everything so that even i could understand. I would recommend Colorado Eye Institute to everybody. There is no better Ophthalmology in Colorado. Hands down

I am not at all impressed with Lee Eye Institute. They are never prompt with their appointment times. Dr. Lee prescribed glasses that were too strong for my eyes. I went to an appointment for a procedure, but he did not have the proper equipment and I had to set another appointment. The staff says they will fax or send you something you request, but you have to call several times to actually get them to do it. This place is a bigger hassle than it is worth, and Dr. Lee does not seem all that concerned with his patients.

Having had prior retinal surgery, I had developed severe cataracts. Other ophthalmologists were not very optimistic about my future vision. Fortunately, I heard about Dr. Lee and flew to Colorado Springs for his assessment and surgery. Dr. Lee restored my vision to 20/20! My optometrist says my case is in "his top ten" for having such miraculous results. I will be forever grateful to Dr. Lee. No matter what your eye surgery needs, I highly recommend this highly skilled doctor.

I highly recommend this practice. Everyone I encountered while there was very friendly and knowledgeable. They have multiple doctors specializing in different parts of the eye and they were able to get me in on the same day I called for an appointment. Dr. Lee was very patient with me and even spent extra time in the room with me to fully answer all of my questions. The office is absolutely gorgeous with an amazing view of Pikes Peak from the waiting room.
