I have been taking my family to Abba for the past few years. They have always been able to get me in quick; even when its the only day off my husband has in three weeks they still found the time to get him in. The staff is very friendly and have always provided great costumer service. During this time my family has had medicade. Today when when we went in to get glasses they wanted 129.00 for the frames and then she tries to push all the little extras like no line bifocals and anti glare and so on. So by the time we start getting a total its a 179.00! News flash; if I have medicade I sure in the heck dont have 179.00 to shell out for glasses. So I got the script and went to Walmart and paid 58.00 for the glasses 49.00 for the lenses and 9.00 for the frames. Granted the lenses are plastic but at least my husband can see without struggling. My problem with todays visit it simply the price! I know from getting my childrens glasses there that they have cases of frames you can look through that range from free to I believe 30.00. Knowing were on medicade they didnt offer any of those frames for us as an option and kept trying to get us to spend more money. Tomorrow is my appointment and I will prolly skip all the end part of the appointment and ask for my prescription right after the exam and go to Walmart to get my glasses. I understand that Abba has better quality in eyeware but would still think they would try to get your money regardless of it being a ten dollar frame or a 129.00 frame instead of petting it go to a competitor. :-/

***Edited. After this review I was contacted by the office manager Laura who seemed genuinely concerned. She order me new contacts with my old prescription, and ta-dah, I can see clearly again. Even though Im not sure why my concerns werent taken seriously at first. Laura definitely made it right, and I really appreciate that. **First review. The first time I went here I was blown away by their customer service. This last time. I literally left in tears. Most everyone was nice, but my doctor lowered my prescription to try to take some stress off of my eyes. She said if I didnt like it to come back and they would adjust the prescription. I gave it a full week, and tried 2 different brands of contacts and it was just blurry for me, so I scheduled a follow up. Not sure if it was the brand of contacts, or the prescription, or because they said astigmatism corrected itself, but I still left with blurry vision. I was told by 2 different people that us nearsighted people will take as much negative as we can get. Instead of figuring our why Im all of the sudden seeing blurry, I was told I was fishing for a higher prescription. No, I just want to see crisp and clear. My insurance only pays for 1 eye exam a year (not contact, I already paid the $50 for that). So now I have to come out of my pocket for another eye exam and contact fitting somewhere else where they listen that my vision is now blurry, when it wasnt before. Sadly after a great first experience. I wont be back.

My name is Gabi todays date is 4/12/12 . I used this company last year and purchased expensive coach glasses. they broke just from normal wear. came in to get them fixed. they said they would order the side piece that I needed. After three weeks and not one person calling me, I called them. Turns out the person who sold them these glasses no longer deals with the vendor so they had to order the piece from another vendor. no body called me to tell me why it was taking almost a month (so far) they said that they had no idea when the piece would come in. They were comfortable leaving me with no clue as to when this would come in. I had to ask them to call and find out an estimated date of arrival as I am wearing duck tape on my glasses as I try to sell wedding invitations at my job. I am due for new glasses next week and I am not using their store. I was going to but no longer, I will find my next glasses elsewhere. Follow up is bad, service is smoke mirrored (they act nice then do a poor job with customer service). I also asked if my warranty was from date of order or when the piece comes in. the lady did not know and said "usually it is from the order date" sorry some people dont want to hear "usually" then get hosed when the piece comes in. I feel neglected.

Amazingly helpful staff, clean atmosphere, truly professional experience. First time Abba eye care patient and i am Extremly satisfied! last night i broke my glasses, so i set an appointment with my regular eyedoctor. Long story short the regular guys were NO HELP, sonething to do with me changing insurance(i upgraded, so screw me right?). So i call my insurance agent and ask where is good? She says Abba. I walk in with my broken glasses feeling pretty done with getting jerked around, when Emily greets me and assures me "well figure this out," which was probably the best sentence i heard all day. All the stress of going through miles of insurance red tape just evaporated, as Emily and Laura both helped me get squared away and into an appointment ON THE SPOT! I wont go anywhere else from now on! You guys Rock!

Went to Abba center for the first time today. I was not impressed at all with the service. They had a beautiful building and I expected better from them. Instead what I got was a receptionist who looked down at me because of my insurance. The exam was even worse. I kept getting moved around between exam rooms. When the provider finally came in to see me he dismissed me and said all I needed was reading glasses. I tried to explain that I wanted a pair of glasses but was ignored. I finally left the office feeling very disappointed because I did not get a comprehensive exam. It should not matter what insurance you have every person deserves to be treated with respect and courtesy. I would definitely not recommend this place. I will be taking my business elsewhere from now on.

ABBA is a great company. The best thing about them is that there are people there that truly care about the customer. They do what they need to do make things right. I want to specifically mention Dustin in this review. I had a so/so experience that he more than made up for. Hes very thorough and knowledgeable and talk to him for 2 minutes youll see what passion he has for the customer AND for his company. ABBA is turning things around. If you dont have the experience you thought you should speak up and let someone know. Give them a chance to fix it before you write a poor review.

I had the best customer service I have encountered in many years! From the time you are greeted at the door; to the time you pick up your glasses, everyone is totally courteous and professional. Mr. Adrian Charlton was very attentive to my desires for frames and lenses and met my expectations in every detail. His advice, extensive knowledge of the variety offered made my choice much easier. Adrians helpful manner made this a great experience! I would suggest ABBA Eye Care on Woodmen Park View to my family and friends.
