UPDATE at the bottom of this post Pros: The staff was friendly. They did a good job with my dental cleaning. The equipment and office were all nice, new, and clean. Cons: During my first (and only) visit to this office I was told that I had 3 cavities that "urgently" needed to be filled. They also said that I needed various coatings and sealants. I have never had a cavity or any other dental issues, so I was skeptical about the diagnosis--especially since I was seen by a dentist 6 months prior and had no problems whatsoever. They pressured me into scheduling the appointment for the fillings before I could leave, so I did and then I left and made an appointment with a different dentist for a second opinion. Not surprisingly, I found out from the second dentist that I do NOT have any cavities or any need for fillings, coatings, or sealants. I prefer an honest diagnosis over a flashy office any day of the week, so I wont be going back. UPDATE: It has been a couple of months since my visit, and after I posted this review I received a call from Dr. Harvey to talk about my experience there. He wasnt the doctor that I saw at my visit and I was pleasantly surprised by how kind he was and how genuinely concerned he was about my teeth. He told me that he had taken a look at my x-rays and he really wanted me to get a third opinion on one of my teeth because he believed it was a pretty serious cavity that should be taken care of soon. I went for the third opinion and am now scheduled to have a filling in that tooth. He even refunded the charges from his office so that my insurance would cover the third opinion. I really appreciated his willingness to help and how he went above and beyond to make sure that my cavity was taken care of. I have changed my rating from 2 stars to 4 based on Dr. Harveys follow-up and his willingness to make sure that I was taken care of.

Hold on to your wallet! We are new to the Denver area and I took my three children to Summit Dentistry for their six month check ups. Let me start off by saying that the office is very nice and the staff is all very nice as well (almost over the top nice). Everything in the office seems to be new and they have a large staff and new equipment. I am not sure if I looked like an easy sell or if they treat all of their patients like this, but as soon as my children started their cleanings the hard sell started followed by questionable diagnosis. All three kids needed sealants. All three kids had a cavity, despite a history of no cavities. My son needed his wisdom teeth out (which they could conveniently handle in the office). It went on and on. Once the kids finished up their cleanings we went to check out and I was absolutely stunned at how high their fees were as compared to what our insurance considered "average for the area. I wound up owing hundreds of dollars on top of what my insurance would pay…thankfully I had caught on to what was going on and only allowed them to fill one cavity on one child before before putting a stop to any other work being performed. So I owed hundreds of dollars for a routine visit, and we have good insurance! I subsequently took two of my children to another dentist in the area who came highly recommended and asked him to review their records and confirm they did in fact have a cavity, and he was not able to find anything. So new patients beware and confirm what your insurance is willing to pay BEFORE you visit this practice. And if you choose to give them a try, watch out for the hard sell on every dental service you can imagine. You can step in to their offices and know immediately they have a lot of overhead….and their fees and business practices reflect that! Good luck!

Watch your wallets! Summit considers themselves to be a Premier dentistry so they can get away with charging more than the norm. Your insurance will not pay more than the norm charge. I paid about $1000 for a crown that BROKE off within two years. By then I had changed Dentists because of the high cost that was tacked on weeks after you thought you had paid the total. My new dentist told me that the crown wasnt a strong one but more a cosmetic one, that surely would not last on a big back tooth. Either they knew what they were doing and figured Id be paying for another new crown soon, or they really dont know what theyre doing. Either way, my tooth has now cost about $2000 since insurance would not pay again in such a short amount of time. Summit does not call you back or try to work with you. This has been a battle for the last year and all I can do now is complain and make others aware of this practice.

Coming from another dentist office who was too busy to finish a filling he started, or even show up to do an exam after a cleaning because he was golfing; I have had an amazing experience with Summit. They were able to get me in and finish my filling, and tell me I didnt need a crown on that tooth like the other dentist told me I did. They have amazing hours and a large staff that can accommodate anyones schedule. They were able to find and help me with all the rest of my tooth pain and get me fitted for a mouth guard. They really have helped me, and I am so thankful. I have moved my whole family to them and trust them with my kids. My favorite pet is being able to watch Netflix during an appointment. It makes getting a filling a lot more tolerable when you can take your mind off of it. I highly recommend Summit to everyone I know!

I went because a crown broke. Insurance automatically denied because it had been less than 5 years but I had talked to insurance and they said it would most definitely would be covered. The person in billing acted like it was a huge headache to file the appeal saying its just going to be denied. Umm no it was not. But that is not even my BIGGEST complaint. A week after my crown was put on it was sensitive. I go back and they check and now he is saying I need a root canal. Are you kidding me!! You put a crown on when I needed a root canal as well. Xrays would have shown this and a good dentists would have seen it right away. Now the crown must be weakened to do the root canal. Horrible.

Hold on to your wallet folks...so after seeing other dentist for second and third opinions, seems that Summit Family Dentistry had quoted me for a lot of expensive unnecessary work. The xrays alone were a procedure... seemed like they just couldnt wait to use all of their fancy equipment on me. They run that place more like a spa with all the upsells than a dentist office. Bottom line is I went in for a routine cleaning and left the office with nothing more than an out of pocket quote for over $2,700 with good dental insurance. Complete waste of my time...so glad I took time off of work to visit a place I will never be returning to. Patient beware...
