After a long hiatus from chiropractic care, I had a flair-up of an old condition. Ive always held this practice in a high regard for two reasons: 1) The staff is always extremely friendly and inviting. 2) Their care is very, very comprehensive...they just dont adjust ("crack") your back and send you on your way. Dr. Sclafani took his time and went over my whole body with a fine-toothed comb. Even took vitals. Along with adjustments, he massaged my back for some time and included electrical stimulation. This practice is a well-oiled machine that can handle any client, and with a smile. As a side note, they may have saved my life. Not every chiropractic office takes vitals. The first time I went here; approximately 6 years ago, they took my pressure: 152/102....very, very high. They recommended that I see a doctor the very next day...and boy, Im glad I did..I was in bad shape...I was put on high blood pressure medicine immediately. To this day, I still take it. A second side note. I used orthotics when I was a child, but abandoned them at some point. He performed some visual and computer tests and determined I need orthotics again. I have an advanced degree in Mech. Engineering, and I was able to read the test and understand it. Esp. along with x-rays. Again, very, very comprehensive care. I cant say enough good things. Thanks for all you do for me, Dr. Sclafani and staff. Many kudos to you!!!

Bought a groupon for an adjustment, xrays, and a massage for my friend based on the good reviews for Connecticut Family Chiropractic. He wanted to go to get the massage advertised. Turns out the massage is a gift card to another business and CT Family Chiropractic performs an adjustment. My friend was hesitant to get the adjustment because his back felt fine at the time, but he was coaxed into it by the doctor Lilian Awad who mentioned that she would be patient and explain everything that she was doing. During the adjustment the Dr. jumped off of the ground to put pressure on his back. Not sure if that is normal. When we left my friend complained of severe back pain. He was given a sheet stating that some soreness would be normal and to ice up. The pain got worse and he admitted himself to the ER 2 days later. It has been a month and the pain has not gone away. He is miserable and I feel terrible. Chiropractic adjustments are not for everyone and though I am sure that they work for some people I believe that not enough time was spent with my friend assessing his back before the adjustment was performed. TL;dr Bought a groupon for a friend based on the good reviews. He ended up having to go to the hospital for back pain.

Dr. Sclafani is by far the best Chiropractor in the Tri-State area hands down! I have come to Connecticut Family Chiropractic on multiple occasions for over 15 years, for various reasons (stress fractures in my spine, sprained neck, sciatica, debilitating migraines, arthritis pain) and somehow Dr. Sclafani is the only doctor that has truly been able to treat me successfully! Im not kidding! I moved to Manhattan about 10 years ago and needed care after I had been in a car accident, I found myself at pain management centers and in the offices of orthopedic surgeons, all of which have recommended surgery and strong pain medication which did not work for me! I found myself back at Connecticut Family Chiropractic in Danbury, to see Dr. Sclafani and his amazing staff (driving all the way from Manhattan because he really is that good). I have never found better care and can not express the gratitude I feel towards Dr. Sclafani and the staff at CFC, they have really listened to me as a patient, given me REAL pain relief which is why Im taking the time to write a review. If you are in pain, this place can truly help you.

Dr. Lou Sclafani and his amazing staff have been in charge of my spine for more than ten years. I have moved all over the state of Connecticut, from Bethel, Norwalk, Fairfield, Farmington and now Greenwich, and have not found a more friendly and knowledgeable practice to keep me healthy. Dr Lou has made house calls, and even treated me at his home on a Sunday morning to keep me out of pain and able to compete at the elite level of Triathlon as a Paralympic Athlete. He is one of the only chiropractors in the state that accepts Medicare and I believe that each member of his staff will do anything to help their patients who arrive to get out of pain. I was referred to the practice when I injured my jaw and every oral surgeon I saw told me that I was a hopeless case and that I would be living on anti-inflammatories and muscle relaxers and need extensive surgery, causing paralysis and nerve damage and migraines. Dr Lou not only got me out of pain, the problem hasnt returned in 6 years. I would fly across the country to be treated by him and his team! And I DO! -Amy Dixon Team USA Paralympic Triathlete

Dr Sclafani has been my Chiropractor for over 20 years and he has always given me top notch service and kept my back and neck in fantastic shape. However, I am writing this to shout out to the world how he is a true healer who looks out for patient"s total body wellness. On a visit early this spring I told him I had a swollen gland in my neck. After looking at it, he said it was probably nothing but he booked me for an utra sound just to be safe. It turned out to be tonsil cancer. Instead of telling me that there was nothing he could do to help me as a Chiropractor, he called Sloan Ketttering Hospital, and got me into see the top Dr. in her field, that treated my type o cancer. In addition, he checked in with me weekly to see how my treatment was progressing. When I needed home hydration, he found the solution when my primary care M.D. said he couldnt help. I am pleased to report that I am fully recovered now, and that I now look at Dr. Sclafani as my primary care and wellness physician for everything. He truly cares and he exemplifies what a caring Dr. should be.

I usually do not write reviews however, Dr Sclafani and his practice are above and beyond in terms of every aspect of care. Over the past twenty years I have dropped into Connecticut Family Chiropractic on several occasions, from falling on the ice, neck injury, lower back pain, broken hand and so on, I usually only go to the Doctor when I am in pain and wanting quick relief! What Dr Sclafani has taught me through the years is that these problems I have had were correctable, All the injuries and problems that I have experienced have been diagnosed and treated by Dr Sclafani and his team and along with pain management, none of these injuries along with the pain have ever returned, I didnt really believe that I could be back to 100% but it has been the case every time, Dr Sclafani is just a really great Dr with a passion for healing, I highly recommend Connecticut Family Chiropractic and owe them my gratitude for their care and treatment of myself and my family
