I have had a lot of dental work done in my life (20 root canals, 2 implants, 16 crowns, 2 bridges) and only switched from my previous amazing dentist because I had moved and had my first child, making the hour commute to New Haven difficult. At first Dr. Carta was great - but then as problems with my teeth arose (problems that I warned him were going to happen), he seemed irritated that I was right. That wasnt what really upset me - what upset me was getting a statement for cost of treatment (I needed internal bleaching done on teeth #8 and #9) - totally $424 for both teeth. I knew this was the normal price because I have had this done before. However, I then received a bill for over $1000 for the procedure. You see, he failed to tell me that I would be charged for refilling the teeth after he had taken the fillings out to place the bleach. I had this done on teeth #7,8,9 and 10 a few years back - it cost $800 for the entire process and procedure including x rays and refillings. That was for 4 teeth. I nicely called Dr. Cartas office about these extra charges - I was told somebody would get back to me. 1 week later, I called again and was told that Dr. Carta would discuss this with me at my appointment for the fillings. So that day, he and his staff were rude from the beginning. After he filled my front teeth, he then presented me with a new "bill" as well as 6 new other problems that he had "found" on my x rays. X rays that just 2 weeks earlier were perfectly fine. As far as this large bill, he said that he was sorry for the misunderstanding but this is how insurance bills it. I informed him that with cosmetic work, insurance does not pay, so dont try to tell me that. And after that he said well Im sorry and got up and left. I paid my bill because I really didnt have a choice - after all he had done the work, but was just not upfront about the total cost (which if I had been treated nicer, or told upfront, would not have been an issue). I left the office in tears and am going back to my other dentist and oral surgeon. My entire family and husband also go to Dr. Carta - they are all leaving as well because they are disgusted with the way he handled the situation from a business perspective. It was unprofessional and he and his staff were extremely rude. Especially his assistant Beth - she has no personality and I couldnt stand her. Go to Dr. Carta if you want to get hosed on your dental bill

WHEN I WAS 5YRS OLD THE DENTIST INSISTED I TAKE A PILL BEFORE SHE WOULD SEAT ME. I WAS JUST TERRIFIED. I CARRIED THAT FEAR THROUGHOUT MY LIFE. I WENT FROM DENTIST TO DENTIST. I NEVER COMPLETED TREATMENTS. I JUST KEPT MOVING ON LOOKING FOR THE "ONE" WHO I TRUSTED. I AM SO GRATEFUL TO THE PERSON WHO INTRODUCED ME (DR. ANGELEE CARTA) TO DR. TRIS CARTA. THIS IS THE FIRST TIME IN MY 63YRS THAT I AM NOT AFRAID, I TAKE NO PILLS AND I ACTUAL LOOK FORWARD TO MY VISITS. EVERYONE THERE IS AMAZING AND THEIR CARE IS THE BEST. THE RESULTS ARE UNSURPASSABLE. WITH ALL MY HEART I WISH TO SAY THANK YOU TO DR. CARTA AND STAFF

I have been going to Dr. Carta for 15 years. His office is immaculate and the atmosphere is relaxed and inviting. His staff friendly, attentive to patients needs and very competent, current and well trained. The electronic patient record integrates the diagnosis, treatments and x-rays. Dr. Carta is friendly, and highly skilled dentist. He stays current with developments in the field. He explains any problems to the patient and takes the time to answer their questions and explain his treatment plan and alternatives. His office is easy to access and has its own private parking.

The staff were extremely professional and polite!!:) I have had bad experiences at other offices that I will not mention in regards to professionalism and quality of work leaving me and family members very unsatisfied and uneasy as a result of our visit. Yes, its true, I love my dentist and his office staff! Dr. Carta is very good with patients that may be apprehensive in the dental chair. He is very good at distracting you when he is working and makes sure you are comfortable. My hygienist, Marianne, is also very good. She has a gentle touch and is very kind. I am a patient of 29 years.
