All I can say, is this place has very shady business practices. When calling to make my appointment, I advised the receptionist that we have MetLife Dental and I found them through that website. She said she would confirm my coverage with them, otherwise we would have to pay for the services up front and wait to get reimbursed. Ive never had to do this before for dental care, so I asked her to verify our coverage before making our appointment. A few days later, I received a phone call that our benefits were confirmed and we were all set to make an appointment. They booked us about 2 months out. When making the appointment they wanted us to come in for a dental evaluation and then a second appointment for a cleaning. Due to our work schedules and my anxiety getting to the dentists office, I requested that we schedule everything in one day. That is why we had to wait 2 months to get an appointment. We also took the time to have our XRAYs transferred from our previous dentist to their office. Nicely, I received a call from their office that they received our XRAYs. Everything went great until we arrived. When we got to our appointment, our XRAYs could not be found. They insisted in doing duplicate XRAYS, and I refused. Then they said they were able to find our comprehensive XRAYS, and would just need to do basic bite films and photos with the intra-oral camera, which I was fine with. The camera kept malfunctioning on the dental assistant. This whole process took so long. My husband and I were there for a total of 3.5 hours just seeing the dentist and reviewing our XRAYs. When the dentist was done reviewing our films and photos with us, he thanked us and said he would see is back for a cleaning!!! I told him that we made this PERFECTLY CLEAR - that we were to have everything done in one day. He said that it wasnt booked on their schedule that way and there was no dental hygienist available to complete our cleanings. He then started talking about self-paying for items, which I thought was strange considering we have insurance. When we went up to the front desk to check out, we were asked what our form of payment was going to be. I told her that we handled all of this when we made our appointment and that our preventative care is covered 100% by our insurance. She insisted that we pay in full and that she would give us a 5% discount if we paid the same day. I refused to pay anything, as I know that we are covered 100%. She said, "Well, we will bill you anyway and here is your bill". I was handed a bill that totaled over $800! My husband and I angrily walked out of the office. When we got to the car, I glanced at the bill and saw that they charged us for two tooth extractions!!! We were only there for an exam and bite XRAYs. I went back into the office and confronted the front desk regarding these extra charges. She played dumb and said, "That is strange, Im not sure how those got on there" - she snatched the paper and printed me a correct bill and wouldnt give me back the incorrect bill. We left there - vowing to never return for anything at this practice. When I signed into MET LIFE Dental to re-check my benefits and claims to find another dentist, what I found was disturbing. They charged our insurance company for full comprehensive XRAYs, even though they were not done. I called the office, and again - the woman answering played dumb and said, "You are right - hmmm .. Im not sure but will have this fixed. Would you like a call to confirm that?" - I told her absolutely. I still have not received a call from them and also reported this office to METLIFE for submitting a false claim. I hope this gets fixed and I hope anyone reading this will take their business elsewhere. It is a shame that offices take part in shady business and billing practices like this. Our high premiums are in part due to their incompetence and unethical practices.

I became a patient of this dental office after my former dentist retired. I couldnt have made a better choice. I can honestly say that I receive the best of care from every office member. They treat you like family and truly take a personal interest in the overall well-being of their patients. Making appointments is easy and office hours include nights and Saturday’s which is a plus for sure. I am always greeted with a smile and a “Hello, how are you today?” I had numerous dental procedures that needed to be attended to prior to cancer treatments so I became quite a regular in their office. They were very accommodating to my schedule and ensured all necessary dental work was completed prior to my treatment start date. I always look forward to what Dr. Zases Hawaiian shirt of the day will be as well as the laughter that ensues from his welcoming sense of humor. The entire staff is compassionate and provided me great comfort during a rough time in my life and continue to make me smile, laugh and appreciate their practice at every visit. This is an exceptional practice that I would recommend to anyone. Top notch for sure

These are top-notch dentists and hygienists, and frankly, the entire staff is excellent. I wish every doctors office was as neat and staffed by as friendly folks as the Colchester Dental Group. The dentists are key of course. My dentist there is one of the best nationally; he has been recognized by State and national peer review organizations, and besides being at the top of his game is super friendly and very aware of people like me who cringe at the thought of drilling. And my hygienist there is the most thorough hygienist I have ever encountered. They have put together a great group of professionals. Pricing is in-line with other offices; this is a great value for this level of service. Highly recommended.

The best dental group that I have ever been too!!! Thank you Dr. Zase for giving me my life back! I was in severe pain 24 hours a day from a procedure I had done somewhere else. I felt hopeless. Dr. Zase knew right away what the problem was and how to correct it. Thank you for taking my case. I will never forget.

The staff is friendly and helpful in any way possible. Always had good professional service. When I had an emergency they went out of the way to get me seen and sometimes stayed after hours to help me. I never recommend 5 out of 5 for anything, but this is a first and well deserved from my experience.

Dr. Zase helped my daughter with her very serious dental problems. He gave us great advice and made my daughter feel comfortable in a dental chair for the first time in her life. We are thankful and grateful for all of his help.
