I dont know what the other reviewers are giving a low rating for, maybe a change in staff happened? I loved going here. Heres my experience. Went in for a new prescription. The receptionists were very nice to me at the optometrist section, as was the girl (I have terrible memory what was her name?!) that did the tests (I dont know what position that would be called, technician? Apologies to her if I have it completely wrong) . The optometrist Dina Rossi, was an absolute pleasure to have as a docter, she is my primary optometrist from now on, period. Sometimes I would hear some of them talking and conversing with each other, but that to me is better than having a silent office with no personality, so Im sorry but I hate offices with quiet and extreme formalities. After I got my prescription and was looking at frames, I was asked multiple times if I needed help, they were very nice to me as well. I went with my sister and said "sense I have no sense in fashion my sisters going to choose for me, thank you though". But then my sister started to doubt her own opinions and brought over Serah (sorry If its spelled differently! Or if I got the name wrong! Bad memory!) who had helped her pick out frames, and she was absolutely amazing, pretty, very spunky, knowledgeable, and great personality. She made the experience very smooth and fun. After 2 hours, I had my new glasses (Dr. Rossi said my prescription is a slightly complicated one, Im limited in even what choices of contacts I can get). For most people I would expect no more than an hour for theirs. I will definitely go back even though Trumbull is much closer, it was just worth it. But I also havent been to Trumbulls in over 10 years so I dont know what theyre like. Put simply I highly recommended

Went there for my new glasses. The lady got my prescription wrong (I asked for anti-glare and she insisted I didnt - however my husband clearly remembers me saying it THREE times). So when I went to pick it up I asked specifically for it (as I always do) and she said oh no problem well do a lens change in 1 hr. Got a call 3 weeks later that the lenses are ready for the 1 hr change. Went back - dropped them off and returned in 1.5 hrs to pick up. Not ready. Was told only a few mins again. Waited for 30 mins in the store. Was told oh only 20 mins again. Took a walk in the mall came back an hour later (total time elapsed 3hrs) - not ready yet only 15 mins again. I got pissed and demanded to know if it would even be ready - then got the truth. I should leave and wait for them to call.....got the call 6 hrs after I dropped it off!!! In total made FOUR trips to get one pair of glasses and WASTED my entire weekend waiting. ONE HOUR LENS CHANGE IS A BUNCH OF CRAP AND THEY LIE!!! Will be taking my business elsewhere...

Wow! They were so great and helpful. Im very impressed. So thankful I went to Lenscrafters. I thought it would be a difficult process because I dont have eye insurance and havent had a new pair of glasses in at least 4 years. My glasses broke- both the frame and part of the lense. I had to be at class in an hour and I wasnt even sure if I was going to make it but surprisingly I did! I was in and out, with high quality help. They accomadated to all my needs and fixed the issue- replaced my frame and cleaned up the lens; it was fast and easy. The staff answered all the questions I had in full detail. Id definitely recommend them to a friend and I would definitely come back in the future.

Had to go back twice to get new sunglasses because they didnt save my measurements, nor did they make any notes in my file. Staff is not friendly and kinda rude. They charged me for rayban lenses but never put the logo on them so now I have no way of knowing if they actually used rayban lenses or their own, and scammed me. I dont even want to go back to have them fix it cause Im so fed up with them.

Horrible service! It took me 6 weeks to receive my glasses, 5 trips, they re-ordered my lenses 3 times because they kept scratching the lens before putting them in or after they put them in, they lost my glasses case, and it still cost me $350. DO NOT GO HERE!

The staff where just incredible! I had a certin price range and they where there to help me succeed by letting me know of a package deal they where offering to how much my insurance would cover. This is the store to go to if you need new glasses.

Christina! Thats who you want to help you pick out glasses. She was terrific! Makes you feel completely at ease, completely comfortable. Just be open to anything and have her do her thing. Exceptional service all around, but Christinas the best!

This place is the worst! We stood for over 40 minutes and no one helped us at all. Very poor service and would never go back. We were only returning a pair of glasses and they couldnt even do that for us to let us on our way
