I highly recommend Redlion Vet hospital. I had recently rescued a yorkie after she had been attacked by another dog she was living with, 3 separate times, sustaining multiple fractures which needed immediate repair. Not only was Redlion extremely accommodating and helpful, they have the most compassion Ive ever seen, especially during this entire process. She was up the next day walking around trying to play. Unfortunately, My dog had a completely fracture repair done and 2wks later she rebroke it, they immediately pulled her in to fix her leg again, also casting her other foot which was injured in her attack. I cannot thank the doctors and staff enough for all of their help and support through this entire journey. I live in NJ and the commute is WELL worth it! Doctors up here wanted to just put my little girl down, but the doctors at Redlion disagree and have been so supportive. I look forward to having the rest of her procedures done with them also. Very compassionate, and very helpful.

The team at Red Lion Veterinary Hospital provides great care! I recently started taking my cats there and they have been incredibly helpful. My youngest cat needed surgery and they were quick to get the procedure scheduled. Shortly after, my older cat was diagnosed with diabetes. They have been helping me with actively treating her & even offered boarding services when I need because of her condition. I am very pleased with the care and attention I have received thus far. They have been honest, affordable, and mindful. Bob in particular is a wonderful asset to the team. He regularly follows up, takes notes when I am explaining my situation, and even asks about the other cat that I have! I would definitely recommend anyone in the Newark, Bear, New Castle, & Wilmington area to this office.

Our vet had left a previous hospital we used too take our dog too. She currently is at red lion. She had done previous surgery on our beloved dog. Was not only phenomenal at the surgery, but has always been the kindest, knowledgeable vet we have come across. Unfortunately being military family we have too leave her for relocation issues. We will miss her dearly! So far as the staff though I have not been too happy with. They come across cold and not that welcoming. They act as if we are bothering them at times asking questions. It is the front desk staff . The vet assistants are wonderful however and our doctor namjoshi is a god send!!!!!!! Completely worth it besides the front desk staff. If you want a group of loving and caring doctors we suggest you visit here!!!

Ive had a few vets in the past 10 years ive been bringing my jack russel here for 3 years now and im happy with all aspects of the veterinarian care. The whole staff is good to us. My dog is sickly and appears he will need to be seen more than normal and I feel he is in good hands that they genuinely care about wanting to get your pet better or relief which is hard to find these days. They re also reasonable on their fees as we all know times can be difficult and they really seem to strive on providing a care taking in the consideration that vet care is not cheap and giving you a fair charge for service. Im glad I made the change a few years ago. Thank you

My fiance and I were putting off finding a vet for a little too long after moving to Delaware. After an incident that made me worried enough to take our dog to the vet, we went with Red Lion because of the positive reviews and proximity to our house. After actually going there, I know we made the right choice! We both really liked the vet, Dr. Jones, and all of the staff was very warm and welcoming. I was pleasantly surprised with the vet bill, it wasnt nearly as expensive as I thought, especially for an appointment I made the same day. We will be sticking with Red Lion for as long as we are in New Castle County.

Last week I had to take my dog to see if it was time for her to go to doggie heaven. We had been going to Circle and did not have good experiences. We looked up Red Lion and I can not even express how wonderful they were to us during such a hard time. We did have to put our dog down and we were devastated to lose a member of our family. They were thoughtful and concerned about our dog and us. Today I opened my mail and they sent us a sympathy card. It was very personal and a nice touch. It made me smile. I will be taking our other dog to Red Lion in the future.

Have been coming here for over 3 decades! Could not imagine a kinder, more skillful and compassionate team anywhere. I am in my 60s and have had multiple pets, all my life: it doesnt get any better than these wonderful people. I sincerely miss their founding father, Southard Jones, but I know he lives on in his children and their colleagues. My heartfelt thanks to all for the kindness over the years.

This is a great place. They are so helpful and personable. The vets and the vet techs are very knowledgeable. Ive taken 3 of my 5 pets there and been very satisfied. I have a boxer with some issues and Dr. Bales and the ladies have been very through, helpful and understanding. They make sure I understand, in layman terms, the diagnosis and treatments. I highly recommend Red Lion Veterinary Hospital.

My dog needed to have emergency surgery on his leg. As soon as I went in the vets building I felt like he would be OK. Everyone that works in there are friendly and nice. They made me and my dog comfortable, came up with a plan immediately and did not hesitate to take care of him. I would highly recommend red lion vets to everyone. Ive had routine as well as urgent visits to Red Lion with several family pets and each time we were treated with complete professionalism, courtesy, and thoughtfulness by the staff. These are people that truly care for animals. Their prices are very reasonable compared to other practices, but even if they werent, I would still take my pets to Red Lion.

I recommend this place highly. They take wonderful care of my dogs and when I had had an emergency they took us right in. When their other vet was too busy to see her. Even though they acknowledged she probably wont live till Monday. Thats when I called Red Lion. They took her that day and did the surgery. Left Lums Pond and never looked back.

We were turned down by another vet who told us that they werent accepting "new patients with problems", so we were referred here. We were seen the same day. The vet was amazing, the techs and staff were very helpful and friendly and we could not believe how affordable it was. We have a new vet and are recommending this place to everyone!!

Not only is the service the most affordable in the area, but the veterinarians and vet techs are great as well. They always remembered my dogs when I brought them in and worked with me when it came to my budget and appointment availability. I would highly suggest going to this veterinarian if you are a new pet owner!
