I am new to the area and rely on posted reviews. This facility had good reviews so I chose to take my 13 year old cat for dental care. The initial visit went as planned. He had an exam and blood work. I asked multiple times for plan of care and pricing for dental cleaning and 2 extractions and was told $500-$700, but never received a breakdown. I travel a lot and have been to multiple veterinarians. Usually a signature is required for care, including lab work. That did not happen prior to the blood work or prior to the procedure. When I dropped him off for the procedure, I requested a print out again, but the doctor just rattled off cost of IV, fluids, cleaning, etc. I said I couldnt really afford more than $500, and she said that should be OK. They recommended 3 extractions and I agreed to 2 only when I dropped him off. I signed a paper that said call me with any additional work. I went to pick him up and found they did a total of 5 extractions without my permission. The doctor did not come in to discuss my furiousness when I picked him up. A tech did speak with me to try to explain, but it didnt really instill me with confidence. He had to have both of canines removed and large holes were present. The cost ended up being $600 in addition to the $300 I already put out for the initial exam and blood work. They did not call me to follow up after the procedure. I called a week later to say he still wasnt acting normal, and it looked like there was redness, swelling and pus in the canine holes. I brought him back in for a re-exam (which they didnt charge me for since he was having complications - the only reason I gave them 2 stars). The doctor that saw him said "Ive been doing this for 18 years and have never seen anything like this ... Im just taking him in the back to have another doctor take a look." She wanted to sedate him again and flush the holes "because I dont really know whats going on". She came back and told me she gave him an injection of steroids. Again, she didnt discuss this with me FIRST. Still not instilling any trust at this point. I decided to get his records and go to a different animal hospital. When reviewing the records, it looks like in addition to the steroid injection I did not approve of, she also gave him an antibiotic injection and a vitamin B12 injection. I would never have even known this if I didnt request his records. How is OK to just treat an animal without the owners approval???!!! When I went to the other animal hospital, the doctor knew there was an infection and assumed retained products after the extraction. They did need to sedate him again to treat him. They did an X-ray (which Brenford never did) and found retained root fragments. The doctor had to drill an opening and flush him out. He sutured the holes to prevent foreign bodies from lodging (which he said was also probably a factor in the infection). My cat has now had 6 visits to a veterinary office in 2 weeks, and Ive put out about $2000.

I am shocked to see anything but favorable reviews for this vet. I have been going there for 30 years now. I first went in with a dog I rescued from the SPCA as a 17 year old that turned out to have parvo and they treated the dog without ever asking how a 17 year old would pay the bill. I have since owned many Golden Retrievers, Irish Setters, Labs, and Horses and have seen virtually every vet there in some manner or another. They are always there for me and my pets no matter how big or small the issue. I have unfortunately been there for everything and have always been treated like a friend by everyone from the vets to the front desk staff. They try to save me money when they can but understand that my pets are worth just about anything to me. Just an FYI we have "pets" but they are also trained for field trials and I really wouldnt trust their care to anyone else. My son now lives on his own and has his own dog and it was never a question of what vet he would use.

I went in to check on some prices and there were 5 customer service reps there. Two just stood there and watched the others speak. No one said, "I will be right with you." And when I asked for general pricing they gave me the spill, "We cannot give you and estimate without seeing the dog?" I was asking how much it would cost to get a simple skin tag removed. I really dont think an estimate is too ridiculous request even though she acted like it. I will have to say the inside was clean and it looked like a nice place to go. But I would have to agree with another rater; the customer service left me with a bad enough taste in my mouth to check out their ratings and post a review. I dont really know for myself what dealing with the vets are but I dont think I will find out...if going through their customer service reps feels like such a hassle. Too bad because I love the location. I wish it would have worked out.

We took our kitty here as a last minute 2nd opinion after another vet in the area so RUDELY told us to just put our cat to sleep. But I am unable to put in words how impressed I was by this hospital. The staff here are amazing and the way the doctors here went above and beyond to help him. I truly felt they CARE and understood how much he meant to our family. Sadly we were too late. But they showed our pet and our family so much love that I said if we ever had another pet, we would take them nowhere but HERE! I cant say I even care about prices anymore because you really cant put a price on the service we received at brenford animal hospital. Here we are 6 months later with a new rescue kitty.... and brenford was our first stop :-) Thank you guys for all you do!

Absolutely amazing staff and facility. They have been with us since day one of adopting our cat. Furthermore provided nothing but the best care for him, even went out of their way to make sure he recovers well, replenishing his nutrients and providing us with medicine and instrucutuions to achieve his best health. The doctors and nurses are incredibly polite, also the receptionists that help you schedule appointments. Even though our cat has major fright of cars and trips, they have really made it so much better for him by being so attentively caring. Though they are costly on certain services but it is beyond worth it and truly is best care you can possibly receive for your beloved pet.

This a a top notch facility. I first visited the hospital when I adopted my dog from the SPCA. I dont know what others are complaining about with customer service because their staff is efficient, kind and compassionate. When my dog had an emergency a few weeks ago, Dr. Levinson and the staff saved my dogs life. He was excellent at communicating what was happening and was upfront with what it would cost. He was very knowledgeable and I was told he has experience as an emergency doc at the 24hr emergency hospital which was a major plus! I would never take my pets anywhere else. Thanks again Dr. Levinson and your staff for all you do.
