I have suffered from chronic pain on my neck and lower back for the past five years. In my search to find a solution, I tried pretty much every medical avenue available to me. I used to be a very active person until one day I had to stop everything and that included leaving my job and no longer being able to do any activities. Simple tasks like doing my laundry, driving my car, and reading a book became extremely painful for me to do. I was glued to my bed from so much pain. After visiting several orthopedic doctors, rheumatologists, neurologists, and primary care physicians, I realized that not one of them explained to me the source of my problem. Instead, they would dismiss me and prescribe me a bunch of meds that at the end of the day made me feel worst. I was introduced to Dr. Mellman through one of his patients (Robert) who I coincidentally met at Miramar Memorial hospital. I was on my way out after setting an appointment with a pain management doctor to get a cortisone shot for a herniated disk. Robert spoke highly about his experience with Dr. Mellman, but I was skeptical after so many failures with other doctors. So I took Dr. Mellman’s info and put it to the side. I was wrong and felt ten times worst after getting my cortisone shot. I was paralyzed for days from the pain. I went back to the pain management doctor and he told me that if the cortisone shot did not work then it was time for me to seriously consider surgery. Again, this was another doctor that had no explanation for the source of my chronic pain. Even though my family encouraged me to go for surgery I refused. Being 32 and already going through spinal surgery felt wrong, and that’s when I decided to visit Dr. Mellman. It’s been five months since I started seeking treatment with Dr. Mellman, and from the first visit, I have been experiencing a steady recovery. Right away he explained to me the source and the solution to my problem. He also has an amazing staff that is very helpful and always caring. I no longer experience the crazy migraines or take any pain medication. Slowly but surely I am able to do more activities and spend less time in bed. I feel less fatigue and more energy throughout the day, and most importantly almost no pain. I am positive that with continued corrective adjustments I will have a better quality of life. Not only do you get treated for your condition but also you learn about your own anatomy and how to make better nutrition choices, which also impact the quality of your life. I recommend Dr. Mellman to anybody that is willing to put in the time and commitment to a healthier lifestyle. It’s worth it.

I truly enjoy going to see Zev and his exceptional, attentive staff for my regular weekly adjustments. Ive actually known Dr. Zev on a somewhat personal level for almost 10 years now. I met him at the gym when I was around 23 or so. Him and I eventually began working out together for a few months after becoming quick acquaintances. He was always personable and friendly to me and others every time Id see him there. I could tell even then that he had a passion for his craft and an upbeat attitude that is rivaled by no other. I believe he was just starting to build his practice and would often travel to other states to work on and help professional athletes with their ailments and therapy. Thats probably the main reason we were gym partners for only a brief period. Back in October 2015, I was beginning to experience consistent neck and upper back tension and even pain some days. After it was apparent that it wasnt going away like I thought it would. I decided it would probably be a good idea to visit a chiropractor and see what was going on. The first thing and name that came to mind was Dr. Zev Mellman. I told my mother my situation and mentioned Zevs name and she thought it was funny I did. She explained that she had just heard not long before then that he had opened a fairly new practice in the Pembroke Pines area. So shortly thereafter, I went to visit Zev and told him how I was feeling and he accepted right in and took x-rays of my spine. To which he explained in detail what was going on with my spine and why i was experiencing discomfort on a consistent basis and sometimes pain every so often. He basically told me, after what I believe was due to heavy stress physically and mentally endured through my profession at that time, that I had the spine in the range of a 60 yr old man....not good at 30. Anyway, he offered me a program, aside from the first initial visit and non obligatory even after the x-rays and first diagnosis received, to get my spine back on the right track for my age. I decided to accept the program and to take a step forward in the betterment of my own personal health and hygiene. I know Zev has a wide working knowledge of his practice and in health in general and I trust his advice and guidance to a better, healthier lifestyle. I would high recommend you give it shot if youre considering to schedule a visit to his or any chiropractic office.

The care that I have gotten, and continue to get, at Dr. Zev’s is second to none! He truly cares about my well being!!! Besides that, his office is like a gym for your chiropractic needs. There are machines there that help with the reestablishment of the “arc of life” in your neck (ask Dr. Zev), as well as with other problems associated with subluxation (ask Dr. Zev). It is very important to note that I have learned a tremendous amount from Dr. Zev about chiropractic care while under his care. He has explained to me what a subluxation does to my entire body, and how it affects my overall health. He is always reinforcing the physical aspects of his adjustments with an explanation of how that adjustment is benefiting me. I (and you) get “the power turned on” both physically and mentally at Dr. Zev’s. And there are also many positive life quotes all over the “Gym”, as well as on the big screen t.v.’s that are always flashing bits of educational and life affirming inspirations. So when you think about it, Dr. Zev’s is a place where the physical, the mental, and the spiritual all combine to give you an experience that transcends the average chiropractic office visit. On a side note, he is also someone who is into eating healthy and knows much of what chemicals and preservatives in processed foods do to your health. He even conducted a seminar on the hazards of processed foods that was so chock full of information, that I was “healthily full” at the end of it. So you also get the added bonus of a nutritional expert, as well as a chiropractic expert with Dr. Zev! In conclusion, whenever I have a friend or coworker that has had spine and neck subluxation problems, I ALWAYS refer them to Dr. Zev! He is more than professional. He is a truly caring and selfless person who is committed to my health and wellness, as well as the health and wellness of all members of my family. Therefore, I more than recommend him!!! I stand by him (adjusted)!!! Where else can you get healthy physically, mentally and spiritually? Why at Dr. Zev’s of course!!!
